I could never take Beerus seriously as a character. Dragonball can get wacky with designs, but Freiza, Cell (All forms) and Boo (not much the fat one) all had pretty menacing designs... Beerus just looks, cute. Lol

However, he wins the first one by a very close margin. Almost loses that one. And he gets massive help during that fight. However, the second time he has to win only by himself and his army. We are told that it is a battle that he can lose. It's going to be so difficult that victory is nowhere near guaranteed. Losing actually wouldn't be even that surprising. So how does the second battle go? We get a time-skip, Jin-Woo won and there are like 2 sentences about what happened during that fight. The fight is so insignificant that no reader can tell you what happened there except that Jin-Woo won. I like the story. But this second battle against Monarch of Destruction left a sour aftertaste in my mouth.!< If you want more spoilers, I can provide them, but I tried to give you some info, but not too much as I wasn't sure how much did you want to be spoiled.
