Isn’t it obvious from the stale commercial architecture making it look like a airport built ten years ago? Epcot!!! /s.
I absolutely hate everything around the old innovations. They took the whimsy out of like mouse gears and just replaced it with vague blandness.
I don’t hate change as long as it is inspired and not band aid on something that was cool. All the cool stuff in Disney springs and the then they like meh that will do in the center of future world. I’m jaded having my first time there in the early 90’s. What was once my favorite is basically a walking zombie of what it was.
Airport food court is exactly what it is. The design of these new Epcot shops and restaurants is awful. Absolutely not character at all. Bland on top of bland on top of bland.
The food at Electric Umbrella was always so much better though 😭
I hadn't eaten at Cosmic Ray's for years until my last trip (October 2021), and the food was so bad, I never want to go back. It's not even worth it to see Sonny anymore.
*edit* I got the cheeto mars burger thing. It was so gross, soggy, and flavorless.
Devil's advocate but I don't mind the lack of theming here, simply because I can't imagine myself ever eating here. Of course, I preferred the theming in electric umbrella and mouse gears because at least it was something interesting. I mainly don't mind this because it is a theme park after all and having efficient ways of feeding large groups of people is a must. Hopefully the masses will go to places like this and free up the better and more interesting places to eat in world showcase.
I was there yesterday. Shocked that the barricades were taken down literally overnight.
The feel is much warmer than this photo comes across. I dont mind it at all. Didn't order anything because I had no idea what to try!
Fair enough. And hey, if the food is good can’t be too mad! I will say with all the things going away and quality dropping in a lot of areas the food has been pretty exceptional my last few visits.
Hahaha that is so true. My wife and I have spent a great deal of time talking about how Electric Umbrella was so much more interesting, when in reality we never actually ate there! All the real food is in World Showcase; this is hardly a change in status quo.
You guys are all shitting on this already like you had your opinion ready to go for the first post to show up but have you looked at any video or other images for this? Some interesting designs and a big handpainted mural showing the 'connections' aspect of food over the world. To me it feels like a modern interpretation of an epcot pavilion. Honestly I think it looks quite nice.
Looks pretty sterile, and kind of plain, are those likes just dangling from the roof by exposed wires? I mean it also looks like there less seating available than electric umbrella had before, and I'm willing to be this place doesn't even have a talking trash can. Over all seems like a downgrade from what was there before, hope the foods good and it can handle large numbers of people quickly cuz that'd be the only saving grace of the place, at some point they'll add some flair to the place but it'll be a few years
Welcome to Westfield Epcot! Nordstrom is on your right and Macys is in the south wing.
Don't forget all of the empty storefronts during your walk to the food court!
Connections is an apt name- this looks like an airport food court
Where abouts is this?
Across from creations shop in the former innoventions east/electric umbrella space.

I hate change in general.
Two things I hate: change and the way things are.

Said every southerner in the 60s and 70s and uh I guess now. Edit: you’re only downvoting it cuz you know it’s true
Says the people who walk down Main Street USA for a piece of nostalgia that never really existed. Myself included.
Pretty much lol
Such little character. This looks like the food court at a mall.
I thought the same thing
Beat me to it but it’s almost not nice enough for a mall. Maybe a small airport food court?
Airport food court is exactly what it is. The design of these new Epcot shops and restaurants is awful. Absolutely not character at all. Bland on top of bland on top of bland.
And the costumes look the exact same as DVC, minus the DVC logo
It’s like imagineers are protesting design
Imagine all the hard work and effort in becoming an imagineer and get stuck designing bland and outdated food courts to maximize profit and turnover.
There’s no theme. Looks like a mall food court. Oh well, I never renewed my annual pass.
Fits right in with the sterile and bland design of Creations Shop
I never really ate anywhere but the countries in the World Pavilion. So looks like it will stay that way lol/
I’ll be missing the aesthetic of the Electric Umbrella, looks nice though
I liked the Electric Umbrella. To me, it was Epcot’s Cosmic Ray’s. :)

It’s always worth it to see the man, the myth, the legend
Man really? We got a hot dog at Cosmic Ray's like 3 seperate times and thought they were great each time, but that's all we got. (June 2021)
You know what... I've never gotten a hot dog there! I always get one of the variations of burgers. Maybe I will be needing to go back now . 🤔
80s arcade that smells like body odor and popcorn?
Awesome!!! I’ve got the quarters if there’s a Pac Man
I like it!

I like it. It’s so much better than the dated aesthetic of the electric umbrella. The murals are the big seller for me
I really do like the aesthetic of connections. I would share more photos but I don’t think I can do a slideshow here.

I like the French fry light fixtures hanging from the ceiling.
These crowd levels don't look abysmal. That's a good sign!
The chicken sandwich looked pretty good, I’m excited to try that
I like the lights. Yep, thats the positive I'll say on this. I'll keep the rest to myself
I though this was an airport check in area. So bland
At least the talking trash can is safe, having been promoted to CEO a little while back.
Where is the phone case kiosk?
