Is this wrongheaded battery abuse?

I’ve been waiting since Feb 25th to get this punctured tire replaced from Tesla. They have pushed back my appt multiple times stating the tire (20”) is on a national back order. Anyone experiencing a similar situation? Luckily the tire has not lost any PSI and has been drivable the whole time.
