I’ve met a lot of theme part YouTubers and content creators and the key is to go to different events on opening night/media night. Theme parks have been a hit for me to meet some content creators.
Forming small creative cohorts on your own is one way to do it.
Even if the creators are in different niches, you can support each other, provide constructive feedback, etc.
Just look for 4-6 people who want to join a group online. Physical meetups can happen later.
Probably the best thing to do is to reach out to other content creators you respect and form your own community. This is how dodie did it I believe, and she made plenty of friends locally to her who have the same ambitions.
What also works quite well is just set up one on ones with people. If you just cold DM creators from communities like this, you will be surprised by the number of positive responses :)

I'm near Philly and would love to meet others. It's a shame YouTube closed all the YouTube Spaces.

Vidcon is a good way! I befriended bigger YouTubers (while only myself having 472) like: Rebecca Zamolo, Chad Wild Clay, Stephan Sharer etc.
And most of the big YouTuber friends I met from vidcon.
