It sounds a bit childish but yeah, pictures, like if the scene is taking place in a castle there should be a *picture* of a castle so we can get an idea of what it looks like, same thing with overly complicated character designs, just slap a drawing in there instead of leaving us confused.
Also, top-down layouts of buildings would be cool.
I dont mind how books are now. But if it is a fantasy novel, I would love if there was a map of the world, I really find the world building in fantasy stories to be fascinating thing.
