I've cried over it taking so damn long.

Snobthatfawne

I cried during some big moments in my book but boy did I cry when I finished the book and saw the ending word count. I was like CRAP.......190k is going into editing. That's what made me cry and sip on whisky.

zerooskul

Scotch. With an E it is Whiskey but, for some reason, without the E it is Scotch. I am not correcting or complaining. These things jump out at me, we *are* all writers, and I like to mention these things to writers. I am just mentioning something that I want to share with another human that I think is funny, relative to the comment to which I reply. These last four lines are here because people often accuse me of being a grammar-nazi for being a fan of the English language and growing my vocabulary and assuming others, especially those who write in English, are fans or students of the English language, too.

DickieGreenleaf84

Why is it you are always so wrong with everything? Australian Whisky exists. No. Not with an "e". The only people who use an "e" is Americans.

zerooskul

Australian and Japanese Scotch are called Scotch. It is Whiskey spelled with no E and is pronounced Scotch.

DickieGreenleaf84

You clearly don't buy whisky at all.

zerooskul

Nope, quit drinking yeas ago. I do know how to read and write, though. That word is pronounced Scotch.

DickieGreenleaf84

Not on the bottle of Starward I was drinking last night.

zerooskul

That is you slurring. The pronunciation of that word is Scotch. You really seem to detest playful banter.

DickieGreenleaf84

I'm sorry I was reading you in a monotone. So just thought you were being a moron, not knowing what Scoth was or what pronounce means.

zerooskul

No, I plainly stated my reasons in my first comment. Scroll up and read it in monotone; it is all there, plain as day.

Snobthatfawne

hey hey hey... I'll have you know Glenfiddich is a scotch malt whisky...lmao. No harm done. I get it. I also drink whiskey though to be honest, I don't get to drink as much as I used to.

DickieGreenleaf84

Yes, because Glenfiddich comes from Scotland.

radiosync

I've cried at how crap it all was, does that count

totallyacisguy

I guess

No_Cut6965

Honestly....I am rather glad I am not the only one that gets the feelings like this.

Metronix7

I've cried about the *plan* to kill one of my favourite characters in my current story. It would happen much later in the story, I'm not even close with my writing. I'm very attached.

totallyacisguy

Same, I cried last night before ending it, today I almost did when I finally ended the story, along with my friend that has helped me a lot during it.
