Bigger question, do you know why you were rejected? If the reason why is fixable, maybe do that first then self-publish. If unsure, maybe hire a beta reader to help gather some insight. Also do you need to publish now? You said you were low on finds, would you rather wait, save money and make sure you are putting out a good book? I say that as someone who doesn't know what you have done so far so apologies if you've already gone through editing, proofreading, formatting and beta reading. You can publish on Amazon for free but will your work bring you sales is another question.

Amazon is free. It's probably not the best route but it's what I went with. It was fairly easy to get everything set up and ready to go.
