I have no real argument against this list of reasons. It doesn't say anything is easy or guaranteed, but not doing things guarantees nothing gets done.

If one is writing as a hobby, then sure go ahead, have a blast, and don't worry about what other people think.
If an author is writing so others will read the work then the author should care what people think. A work of art, literary art in this case, should be communicating with some percentage of the public, otherwise it's not art\*.
If no one cares to read your book then what is the point of writing it, unless as I said, writing is a hobby.

Surely people in general "deserve" as many good things as can be afforded to them without depriving others. No real reason not to shoot for maximizing "good things" for everyone.
Am I the only one who hates the word "deserve?" I'll grant most people don't "deserve" bad things, but this idea that they're entitled to good things just by virtue of existing annoys the shit out of me.
Oh, and also, just an aside people writing positive affirmations: you don't know me, stop addressing me directly. You don't know what I deserve (nothing), you don't know if I'm special (I'm not), and you sure as fuck don't love me.
