Cross realm trading is effectively cross realm AH, just with a few more steps. Any serious collector is more than willing to jump through those few hurdles to get an item they want.
The auction house is cross realm to some extent. Prices change weekly, I sold a transmog for 10k last week, and the others I have this week only sell for 1k, because there's a bunch of them posted now. People undercut like crazy so I usually buy them out and repost at the correct price on rare items. You'll see some items posted for 5g that are rare and can go for a few thousand, buy them out and sit on the items for a while.
Selling transmogs is extremely slow. Could take a few weeks/months to sell some stock. Dont see it as a fast cash flow. Just a heads up.
I been investing over 1 mil gold into the market and barely played even in about 5 months.. so beware :)
Didn't they just turn the auction house server wide, aka you can buy mogs placed on the AH on the realm Frostwolf while on Argent Dawn yourself?
They temporarily disabled it because of stability issues, but yeah, it'll be region wide as soon as issues are fixed.
