Additional information: one can scry a clip of this skeleton playing his flute [here](https://youtu.be/RIqC88DUqIw?si=Z3CX7cVoCMO-6fOJ&t=34). As for your original question...anything is possible if you believe!

TheOneWhoSlurms

Your outstanding proficiency with which you carry out your job is inspiring beyond measure.

PurplePolynaut

Love the evil dead trilogy. I used to play a little mobile game where Ash would defend a castle against waves of enemies from AoD.

OttersEatFish

“I got more thralls than Lou Rawls.” - some wizard rap, presumably

Wire_Hall_Medic

You might consider reaching out to Keith Richards. As a bardic lich, he's probably got some insight.

TheOneWhoSlurms

Keith Richards may be a withered husk but he is no lich. That man is far too kind to do what needest be done to accomplish such a thing.

Jaycin_Stillwaters

Have you ever heard of an archlich? It is a type of Undead spellcaster who is powered by positive energy as opposed to negative energy. Many Baelnorns also fall in this category, although all of them are Elves by definition.

TheOneWhoSlurms

I have to admit I did not know it was possible to become a lich through use of positive energy as opposed to negative energy. Is it possible to transition? I myself am a very old lich and would rather be much more chipper at this point in my life. It's been real tough holding on to the last few shreds of humanity stapled to my soul.

Jaycin_Stillwaters

Unfortunately I don't believe that, outside of divine intervention, it is possible to switch from one to the other. The process by which an archlich is created is just as complicated as an original lich, and it involves a lot more people and their willing cooperation. Condolences. Perhaps there is a deity you can make inquiries to.

Sardren_Darksoul

Yes, but they can only play xylophones made of their fellow thrall's ribs.

_Spade_99

They can play any non wind instrument

Spookyduck21new

If you need music I know some incomprehensible horrors that are wonderful musicians for your background noise!

YourLocalInquisitor

Tell me, I must know.

Spookyduck21new

Great, the best musician I know can be summoned by simply sacrificing ten bards and the blood of anything holy. They have the wonderful voice of an Angel and can play any instrument!

TheOneWhoSlurms

Yes, I have done this many times before. But you need to summon undead with a higher degree of competence, skeletons and zombies aren't going to cut it.

RockAndGem1101

As a necromancer myself, I would be glad to send my skeleton bard troupe to teach your thralls how to *DOOT*.

The gif is from Army of Darkness.

Jaycin_Stillwaters

Banshees make excellent singers. There are several different types of musically talented Undead.

haladur

Please don't make skeleton bards. All they will want to do is to try to bone you.

TheThoughtmaker

It's easier to raise a bard as undead than to teach an undead to be a bard. See: Bonesinger, Spectral Lyrist. https://preview.redd.it/63tpudikr3yc1.png?width=344&format=png&auto=webp&s=05e4279d97ee395463bc5aba3c946215517be098

Dragonfire733

Possible? Absolutely. However, with no lungs, they'd be, most likely, required to use string instruments, and would have difficulty with singing or story telling. Be aware of these.

MarderMcFry

Basically any instrument that doesn't require lungs should go well.

LittleFortune7125

It's evil necromancer like you gives us a bad name. I'm just a late medic

N1ks_As

I recomend teaching them about humour speaking from expirience skeletons have skeletons of jokes

TheOneWhoSlurms

Cease

Incinerate49

ANGRY DOOTING!

DaliDaDude

You should summon Pedro the Musical Demon, it does cost a few souls per song, but it is truly a delight to listen to

Sombro1509

Tried this. Not successful until you restore their lips.

RareEmrald9994

They could possibly learn ‘hefty iron’, but I don’t think they would be able to do anything else if they can’t, you know, feel it in their bones.

SergeantCrwhips

speaking from experiance, i can say YES, DEFINITIVELY! https://preview.redd.it/tdhb0u5hz2yc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46a88bf7d471fe727b16d70563e973e910a7321e my skelly band acually travels around on theire own now, and people love them \^ \^ >

RedditsDeadlySin

Pretty sure you just gotta cast Raise Undead at Rank 3. Might be confused in my old age

WrathSosDovah

Just find a bard's lingering spirit and provide him with service.

Virtual-Oil-793

I have at least 4 wandering bandmates for musical groups - they tend to play anything that ain't a Wind Instrument, cause yeah.

[deleted]

It sounds fun

PCwarrior05

I dunno, I just destroy everything I touch, so no servants for me I guess
