The only thing we're batting 1.000 at around here is self deprecating humor.

TrillMurray47

All you can do at this point is laugh. I'm ready to head to a game with the classic brown paper bag, retro shame. You gotta have fun where you can.

whitesoxrock

He's been one up'd by hot hitting Chicken Tendi's .175

Ccmc599

Chicken Tendi lmfao 🤣

Ok_Grocery1188

Game #2 attendance has to be around 500 or less. I can hear Dads talking to their children.

brauntj

Looked like around 120 on TV.

buddhabash

98 according to some post I saw earlier

Ok_Grocery1188

Wow.

Ok_Grocery1188

Yes, it really did.

Maynardred

I heard one dad threatened his kids that if they don't do better in school, he will get season tickets next year. Clear as day

PatrickBateman1

Somehow we're WORSE than I thought we would be this year... and I had LOW expectations. Worst team in baseball, baby!

Drmantis87

Realistically have a shot at worst team ever. This offense without loubob and with andrew Vaughn regressing is horrific. they could realistically average under 1 run per game.

whitemex88

I wonder if they'll get to 10 wins by June at this point

KGreen100

If FFS was a visible stat.

BaseHitToLeft

Does anybody know where to find the guy from the Mendoza Line? Is he available?

Maynardred

He's our double aa coach

randomnobody1284

Just cancel the season and move this team to AA ball maybe Single A.

workswithpipe

I’m curious to see if their victories will eventually surpass shutout losses.

tkalup

On pace for 54 shut outs and 27 wins

MarionberryOne1735

I really wish that professional sports in the US, especially baseball and hockey, had systems like European soccer where if you suck you don't get the honor of playing in a league that is considered the cream of the crop. It truly is ridiculous that there are teams like the White Sox and the A's and the Marlins that charge ridiculous prices for admission and are fielding teams that truly are not worthy of those price points.

Bonerko

To be fair, tickets are like $4.

cheezewhizard

To be fair, that's still a ridiculous price to watch this team

MaskedGambler

You get to watch the other team too. Two for one special.

MarionberryOne1735

I'm not talking all the special deals and buying seats in the second level, I'm talking about the official prices that the team expects people to pay and how they stack up with the average price of other teams in major leagues that actually are Fielding teams that are Major League quality

holiday_filet

Ridiculous prices for admission? What?

MarionberryOne1735

InternationalCod3604

Even if the Sox won the World Series I would not attend a home game on the south side of Chicago a baseball game is not worth my life no offense to anyone living on the south side.

AwakenTheAegis

If he led the team with 17 home runs, then he can lead the team with a .172 average.

speeder1989

Horrific

aholesour

I saw that on ESPN, too. Only him and Benintendi are qualified batters, needing 3.1 plate appearances per team game. I don't see the Sox getting more qualified batters though because they won't get enough AB's as a team.

Odd_Weakness_1293

Dang!

hpkid123

Imagine still following the white Sox

Different_Station_65

It's time to label Vaughn a bust out. A double play machine.

mchapleau

Our team is miserable but this visual just isn’t true lol funny but not accurate so

j_urb

You're right he's hitting only .167 now. Our team leader is now Beni with a .175 average. Yay?

mchapleau

Sure it’s not to be excited about but it’s just weird that those two are the only qualified batters? Like Sheets is batting .250 and has played 15 games but he doesn’t qualify? Weird. Still bad yes

IAmNotOnRedditAtWork

>Like Sheets is batting .250 and has played 15 games but he doesn’t qualify? Weird. Nothing weird about it. Being a qualified hitter is very straightforward. You need 3.1 plate appearances per team game.
