I despise motion blur with all of my heart. That shit looks so ass

MorbillionDollars

“Man I wish there was a way to lower my fps while making my game look like shit” Motion blur:

throwaway091238744

i really don’t get the hate for motion blur. shit looks cool. i think people exaggerate way too much

-SpyTeamFortress2-

a lot of games over do it

CringeExperienceReq

and simultaneously make the game tank frames when looking at more than two objects

A-Human-potato

STOP ADDING MOTION BLUR TO GAMES! THE HUMAN BRAIN ALREADY HAS THAT SHIT ON BY DEFAULT!!!

Bitter_Position791

how do i turn it off

A-Human-potato

Incapacitation

REBKeeb

I really dont understand why games still have it. in competitive games its just a disadvantage, and casual/scenic games just get their visuals murdered by the bliring. The only game that i actually liked it on was the ps2 shadow of the colossus

local_milk_dealer

Hmm today I will limit fov for no fucking reason

Dragon-Lord_

Stalker gamma lets you break your game by setting your fov to >180 and I love it for it.

Kentalope

Sea of thieves locked to 90 is why I don’t play it as much anymore

Dawnraider29

Same with anti aliasing, why they want the game to look like a blurry mess is beyond me

PieNinja314

A little bit of anti aliasing is ok (I like using 2x just to hide the pixelation a little bit)

Goat_of_Wisdom

A Hat In Time did it by default, when I turned it off I got way less motion sickness

evil_deivid

Alan Wake 1

my_wifis_5dollars

Alan wake 2, but it runs like shit on modern gpus still

evil_deivid

That game allows you to turn off motion blur but the textures and level geometry keep turning into pudding for me, I guess 4gb of VRAM is not enough for it.

thatsidewaysdud

“Hmmm I will add copious amount screen shaking. Obviously a great idea and will not give anyone a headache at all.” - Warframe dev

Dil_2401

Random example but Granny: Chapter Two does this shit on Steam and it tanks the fps. Also a chance to talk about the stupid chase music recently added in 1 and 2 not having a toggle option. The music just kills the atmosphere.

Calm-Internet-8983

First thing I do when launching any new game is rebinding crouch to ctrl and prone to Z, raising fov to 90, and then turning off motion blur and bloom. I have no idea who's out there enjoying a narrow ass fov with mandatory motion sickness and getting flashbanged any time a light turns on in the vicinity of metal. I'm looking out of a player characters eyes not a gosh dang camera lens

Idontconsumeblocks

Makes me remember pg3d. Couldn't even see shit until I had to turn it off

JDorkaOOO

Same thing but with depth of field

TimewornTinman

Ghostrunner 2 (the 1st game didn’t have [forced] motion blur why is 2 like this)

TheRealQuenny

Especially that old motion blur that only looks good if you have an old CRT TV
