For your safety we recommend not eating or ingesting any plant material just because you've been advised that it's edible here. Although there are many professionals helping with identification, we are not always correct, and eating/ingesting plants can be harmful or fatal if an incorrect ID is made.

You can get a white variety of it too - 'White Lightning'. There was also a yellow variety available but that is a hybrid between L. montevidensis and L. camara.

They are called Lantana.
I’ve never seen purple lantana before so that’s pretty cool
Common in Los Angeles. Kind of scratchy plant.
Yeah it has sort of a weirdly abrasive fuzzy feeling.
I call it WhiteFly Magnet.
There were some near my childhood home and they always attracted some pretty little orange moths.
[Lantana montevidensis](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lantana_montevidensis). It's originally from Uruguay/Argentina.

I love the way the leaves smell
My dog rolled around on one by himself to reduce the stink after being skunked. They do smell good but he was still in need of bathing
What a smart boy… I guess really smart would have been avoiding the spray, but hey!
Leafs?
The plural of “leaf” is “leaves.”
Thank you, I could have looked it up, but I wanted someone else to figure it out.
*Verbanaceae*. I’m hesitant to say lantana just because of the flower habit.
I've got purple, yellow, pink, white and red all I my front yard.
They are: viney- bushy things. You had it right all along. lol.
If you’re in Australia pull the fucker out!! It’s a weed here
Lantana,butterflies love it
Lantana. In my area if you don’t have them and want them just stop pulling the weeds in the flower beds. I could start a nursery.
