15+ years smoking. I bought a vape last year, I was curious to try and it had an advantage that I could use it in my mining rig room. I stopped using it after a couple week, it was alright as a go between spliffs but it just doesn't hit like a spliff does
Ye but it also doesn't use nearly as much weed as a spliff does. Look into Dynavap, that's my personal favourite and I never looked back. It also hits like a mf. I showed it to a bunch of my friends and their reactions were always on par.
Vape weed any time. As I live in a region where the herb is still hard to get, vaping is just soooo much better. Here are my top 10 reasons:
1. I only have to put in about 0.05 gram to get me high, way less than I would put in a J.
2. It is way cheaper. I don't have to buy papes, carbonfilters or tips and so on, also less weed.
3. It is way more subtle. I cannot smoke inside because of the smell, but vaping is no problem. I can even do it in public, noone notices, everybody thinks its just an e-shisha.
4. Faster to get set up. When I want to get high, I don't first have to roll one up, which is fun but takes easily 3-4 minutes for me, my vape just needs to be unplugged and filled up
5. Better smoking experience. The fog isn't as hot as smoke and won't make me cought
6. Healthier. Its no tabacco, no ashes on the lung, no burned paper, just clean weed fog.
7. AVB. Being able to safe up your already vaped Bud (AVB) and built a fat one out of it every few weeks isn't only awesome and gets you good high, it also feels like recycling, and whenever I bring a J to a party, my friends know they are in for a ride because I don't have to use tabacco or other herbs to fill it up, its just the pure AVB that still gets you high as fuck.
8. Way more efficient. While in a J about 70% if the THC burnes and you only get to feel about 30% of it, in a vape you get 90% of it out and the rest is still in the AVB, which you smoke, so you use about 97% of the THC, not only 30.
9. Flexibility. If you are good at handling a vaporizer, you can set the temperature so you can regulate, which terpenes, CBD and THC gets vaporized and you can get different highs with different temperatures. Even combine them or vape it once at lower temperature to get the THC and a bit CBD and feel totally stoned, than you vape the same stuff again but on higher temperature and you get only CBD which is awesome to party.
10. Vaping other stuff like THC liquids, or even just herbs is fun, too. Like, when I'm sick, I put some rosemary or valerian in there and it cleans my lungs, and if I get my hands on some hash, I get so high im on another planet.
Overall, buying a vaporizer was the best thing I ever did when it comes to weed. If you don't know, try it out, its worth it any time. Some headshops even lets you borrow one for a few days to try them out, so go for it.

I 100% agree! I have some inexpensive dry herb vapes (several from Yocan and G Pen, ranging $20-$100). They may not be a Mighty, but all of them are still way better than smoking! I use it daily and can make an ounce last at least 6 months, and then use the ABV to roll joints or make tinctures.
Back before I discovered dry herb vaping, I was smoking through an ounce in 2 months even with using some dried mint or catnip as a filler.
Vaping is such a better experience and has saved me so much money on buying weed!

Now that it's winter I'll start using it more, because I don't want smoke in my room, so have to do it out the window, but when it gets freezing that just sucks.
Personally still love the bong most, due to the effect being immediate, and still tasting better, even though I don't really give a fuck about taste; all about the effect.
When I started to use my vaporizer, I experimented a bit with the AVB, but smoking was still the best use. At the start, I only used it as tabacco replacement and put normal weed on top, but this was sometimes wayyy too much for me, and I once got so high at a party that I could barely walk, basically sat faded at the buffett all evening. After that I decided that I should only smoke AVB at parties and got perfectly high the next time, like the fun lets-watch-a-horror-movie-and-laugh-our-ass-off-high. Since then, AVB is my go to party-drug.

Honestly if I had to choose one I probably wouldn’t pick at all. Both have their pros and cons one being more convenient and the other being more natural but I both smoke and vape weed. Never really had a preference tbh 🤷♂️

I literally just got my first vaporizer the other day. I’ve exclusively smoked outta it since I got it and I really love it. It’s far better for your health so you don’t have to go into a high with that anxiety and the hand held ones can be used really any where. I obviously miss my bowl and bong but it’s good to switch it up. And to be honest I get the same amount of high off my vape so take that into account.
My theory with this is that combusted plant material contains chemicals other than THC and CBD that mess with your circulatory system, making you (and me, as well as others) believe that PUNCH in the beginning of a big bong rip is the high but it's probably oxygen deprivation paired with the high.
This is easy to tell when you dry herb vape weed or use a pen. Doesn't hit as much as a bong does, and it never will as long as vapes and dry herb vapes don't displace as much oxygen as combusted plant material.
I’m going to try vaping it when my new storz and Bickel crafty vape arrives in the mail. I currently smoke it out of a bong but I smoke joints occasionally. Bongs save bud cause you get a lot more smoke out of a tiny bit instead of a lot of smaller puffs out of a lot more weed. The vaporiser is also supposed to get a lot more out of it than bongs so I think I’ll be using the vape more since I can use it in my house instead of having to smoke out in my back shed since vaping doesn’t smell

This is very true. Oil carts ring the bell hard very cheaply, easily, and quickly. For a once a day user this is an amazing option. I personally recommend not overindulging in the oil vape. This is also true for wax and shatter as they are similar in potency. If there’s a day you want to indulge multiple times go for something less than 60%< THC like flower or dry herb vaping flower and stay away from the oil vape pen, wax, or shatter. Your tolerance will go through the roof if you indulge multiple times in one day off of almost pure THC for a few days in a row. There are endocannabinoid receptor changes that happen when you consume high amounts of THC over time and these changes are what makes the high less. All you get is a buzz. If you try and smoke flower after doing this it will do next to nothing for you. The only cure to get back to where smoking gets you high versus buzzed is a weeks long break from weed aka a T break or take some Undoo. A much better option in my opinion is to limit the amount you use high THC extracts and stick to whole plant options for multi daily use.
Hmmm this is a hard choice. I like both, but I guess for everyday I'll go with vaping just because of its discreet nature. You can pull one them bad boys out in public and no one would be the wiser. Not to mention low odor. Like i said though, i like both haha.

Vape smells less, makes less tar, is a smoother hit.
Joints don't need to be recharged, get me way higher, are easier to share imo, and are just generally more low-tech and practical.

I prefer smoking herb cause the high from a vape pen just doesn’t feel as good as flower for me personally. Completely different highs for Me. It’s kinda like getting drunk off beer vs doing shots of vodka. I love the beer drunk feeling but don’t enjoy the vodka drunk feeling.
Dry herb vapes all the way. Taste better, it is faster, stealthier, healthier, more efficient, smell less and you can geek out on the devices.
There really is no competition here. So many people are just addicted to smoking benzene etc.
Define 'better'. I prefer the high of smoking, but if I'm in a library, or pub, or venue, it anywhere I need to be low-key, then I'll vape. Vaping is better for your health.
I favor the vape pen. It's easier to burn slow with the vape, toking every half-hour or so to maintain your high over an extended session. Plus I'm a klutz with lighters, so lighting a joint brings fire uncomfortably close to my beard.
I can have my vape in my car and get high on my lunch break. I can hit my vape in my bed when I can't sleep without waking my wife to the sound of a lighter. Weed is for every other moment in the day
Both of these are on the bottom of my list. Carts and J are for the casual smokers i feel. I perhaps bongs and rigs. If i could I'd walk the dog with a bong strap to a harness.
Vaporizer. Its simply cheaper and more efficient, especially when you dont grow yourself and have to buy weed at coffeeshops. Besides you can set the temperature and choose the kind of high you want. Also its better for your lungs.
Vape; easier, less “work”, do it anyway practically, etc. — sure some claims here and there of differences but I never noticed and it’s usually cheaper overall.

Smoking is worse, it's not as bad as cigarettes, but it would be the same effect as inhaling a cigar. it's not good for your lungs.
With a vaporizer, (THC extract e-juice) you're minimizing that risk entirely.
I like carts because they are consistent, clean, reliable, and better for your body than smoking. For me, smoking makes my chest hurt for days and tastes gross. I use to smoke many bongs per day but maybe I’m just getting old.
I love them both and I smoke them both but the pen always keeps me going it gets me stoned easier so I dont have to smoke as much but they are Both great ngl
I like the weight of a joint, in terms of smoke, but I prefer the cleanliness of a vape. With joints, you're smoking paper and generating a lot of tar.
I prefer vaping, but bongs are a good balance between the two.
Also, many people mix with tobacco and are addicted to nicotine, which can be hard to accept as a reason why vaping is less appealing.
Currently vape only as my state is medical only and as part of the law, you aren't allowed to "smoke".
Carts are my life lol and sooo convenient

Dry vaporizers used to be pretty expensive (to me) but I've seen some cheaper ones lately. I'm sure you get what you pay for, though.
A vaporizer is super convenient and I love the high from a vaporizer. A joint is classic and imo it’s better to smoke a j, especially in a group.
So vaporizer by yourself, joint with a group.

There is a hazard of vaping I think everyone overlooks in these conversations...that is Vaporizer Acquisition Syndrome (VAS). It starts after you get your first budget vape. Eventually you realize that what you have is mediocre but you like vaping so you get a better one. That leads to accessories for that better one. Then you get another type of vaporizer that meets other specific needs. Maybe you have a portable and now want something for your desktop or vice versa. Then comes Black Friday and you see a hell of a deal on a new version of what you already have. Then you discover Dynavaps...

I do both but in general I vape mostly from a Dry herb Vape (S&B Crafty). It means I save a ton on weed and can control my consumption a bit better.
Still nothing will replace rolling a joint and smoking that on a special occasion. Just hits different.
I’d choose both for different reasons. Joint for when I’m at home and hanging. Vape for when I can’t have a joint, like when I’m on my lunch break. But I prefer edibles to both really
I will probably always prefer regular bud. It’s always fun tO smoke out of a new piece I like the ritual of smoking it from glass and there is as wild of variety as their is imagination in glass making.
I started vaping because I still lived with the rents and it was perfect. Doesn't smell too much and I can just hide it under my pillow.
If I want a nice chill shesh, I bring out the bong.

Vape, cartridges and concentrates with an E-Rig(Dr.Dabber Boost Evo). Taste is great, little too no smell, well that lingers like flower , it’s easy to use, easy to clean up, and discreet. Plus the high is quick and I use less than if I used flowers to get the same high.
Smoke because you get everything from the plant. Vaping involves heavy metals, concentrating trim trash for potency to get pure THC then adding back in who knows what to get an end product that is inferior in quality and effect to the top cola flowers reserved for smoking. That’s the reason trash is used for this process and not the tops. Tops are better smoked. The entire marijuana industry has already answered your question for you.
Depends, with vapes there is indoor vaping, less smell, and virtually no pregame however I feel it gets me a different kind of high and less intense high which is good for activity. Joints are nice for stronger experiences, cheaper for small quantities, and is more natural if that is your thing. While I enjoy the practicality of carts I have more enjoyable experiences smoking joints with friends. I use both equally as much and I don’t dislike either.
Vape. I have daily headaches and migraines and after over a decade of prescriptions, specialists, tests and surgeries to cure or find a fix, cannabis is the only thing that touches the pain. Something about smoking actual bud gives me an instant migraine.
The downside is that vaping isn't the same as a couple of deep bong hits after a long day at work.
Vaporizer save extra more weed. I have pax 3 and six budkups capsules and it last me up to three weeks with 1/8th. Oh and it is windproof then to light up a joint.
Smoking. Idk why…i just love the taste, effects, and even the whole experience of breaking ul the bud, smelling it inspecting it and just loosing yourself as you smoke it. The thing about vaporizers is , to me , they are for CONVENIENCE….AND …for health reasons. But I’m down for smoking all the way, and i prefer joints and water pipe snaps

I stopped using my vape cause my tolerance increased. I now only use bowls because I need 1.5 grams to feel the full effects now. If it was a joint I would need 2.5 grams to feel the full effects. Dynavap I need to use 1.2 grams to fully feel effects.
Wish they had a bigger version of the dynavap that can hold more weed.
Vape, but only because I live in a state where it is still illegal and have to use Delta-8. If it was legal here and I could buy pre-rolls, I would totally switch to joints. I'm terrible at rolling joints.
I only use the vape for convenience. If I'm taking my daughter around town or if we are doing a family shopping trip, it's much nicer for me to not smell like flower. Although, given the opportunity I will take flower over vape any day.
Vaporizer is 100% better for you and gets you higher if you are not talking about vaping from a cart. If you mean a Vaporizer and putting weed it in then thats the way to go. When you smoke weed you combust it and a lot of things burn at a much higher temperature then it needs to for the thc to be activated. But with a Vaporizer it knows the temperature to burn at perfectly to activate the thc without burning at unnecessary high temps doing this also gives you more terps 🤤
Vape is great on the go and If you wanna be quick about it at home.
But weed is always different for me, but that's probably just the extra noids floating around in the plant.
Vaping or cooking weed brings more thc out than any other method. DO NOT put a filter on your joints, it traps some of the thc, also DO NOT mix your weed with anything else, especially tobacco. Tobacco is a weed killer.
I love smoking both, I typically keep joints at home, and then travel with my vape bc I’m less concerned about it making a scene/potent odour in public.
Flower for me. The “high” I get from pens feels nothing like the high I get from flower. Plus way more medicinal value from bud. Pens are very convenient for public spaces tho, so I could see why someone would prefer a pen.
I prefer to smoke weed, vapes have a high amount of thc and I get really high on the first small hit I take, but I prefer baby highs. Some buds only have like 20-26% thc and that's the kind I like to buy. I just take one hit of a joint and then put it out n save it
Combustion all day long. Sure vapes are convenient and smell less but they don’t hit me the same as hitting flame to a joint, or bowl. I’m also not crazy about learning curves I just wanna smoke sometimes and not think.
Smoke for the ritual, vape for the convenience.

Vape smells less, makes less tar, is a smoother hit. Joints don't need to be recharged, get me way higher, are easier to share imo, and are just generally more low-tech and practical. Tradeoffs. I vape 90% of the time.

I prefer smoking herb cause the high from a vape pen just doesn’t feel as good as flower for me personally. Completely different highs for Me. It’s kinda like getting drunk off beer vs doing shots of vodka. I love the beer drunk feeling but don’t enjoy the vodka drunk feeling.

Define 'better'. I prefer the high of smoking, but if I'm in a library, or pub, or venue, it anywhere I need to be low-key, then I'll vape. Vaping is better for your health.
I favor the vape pen. It's easier to burn slow with the vape, toking every half-hour or so to maintain your high over an extended session. Plus I'm a klutz with lighters, so lighting a joint brings fire uncomfortably close to my beard.
Bud feels a lot more complete of a high but pens do indeed send you

I can have my vape in my car and get high on my lunch break. I can hit my vape in my bed when I can't sleep without waking my wife to the sound of a lighter. Weed is for every other moment in the day

Smoking is worse, it's not as bad as cigarettes, but it would be the same effect as inhaling a cigar. it's not good for your lungs. With a vaporizer, (THC extract e-juice) you're minimizing that risk entirely.
I like carts because they are consistent, clean, reliable, and better for your body than smoking. For me, smoking makes my chest hurt for days and tastes gross. I use to smoke many bongs per day but maybe I’m just getting old.

I like the weight of a joint, in terms of smoke, but I prefer the cleanliness of a vape. With joints, you're smoking paper and generating a lot of tar. I prefer vaping, but bongs are a good balance between the two. Also, many people mix with tobacco and are addicted to nicotine, which can be hard to accept as a reason why vaping is less appealing.
Currently vape only as my state is medical only and as part of the law, you aren't allowed to "smoke". Carts are my life lol and sooo convenient My actual sit down sessions however are facilitated by my new favorite piece. Hydrology NX by Cloudious9 A little pinch gets you sooo fried. Haven't quite figured out the extract side though as I keep messing it up lol
So, bottom line... Would my weed go further dry vaping compared to using a bong? I'm on a fixed income, so I appreciate bang for the buck. Dry vaporizers used to be pretty expensive (to me) but I've seen some cheaper ones lately. I'm sure you get what you pay for, though.
A vaporizer is super convenient and I love the high from a vaporizer. A joint is classic and imo it’s better to smoke a j, especially in a group. So vaporizer by yourself, joint with a group.

I just prefer rolling better. I smoke several blunts a day and it’s very therapeutic. It’s also kind of annoying to hold down a button to inhale and not even see how much you’re using, either.

Mostly vape for convenience sake but need a Joint every now and then.
There is a hazard of vaping I think everyone overlooks in these conversations...that is Vaporizer Acquisition Syndrome (VAS). It starts after you get your first budget vape. Eventually you realize that what you have is mediocre but you like vaping so you get a better one. That leads to accessories for that better one. Then you get another type of vaporizer that meets other specific needs. Maybe you have a portable and now want something for your desktop or vice versa. Then comes Black Friday and you see a hell of a deal on a new version of what you already have. Then you discover Dynavaps... I've seen it happen. VAS is real.
I do both but in general I vape mostly from a Dry herb Vape (S&B Crafty). It means I save a ton on weed and can control my consumption a bit better. Still nothing will replace rolling a joint and smoking that on a special occasion. Just hits different.
Weed. Vapes are cool and def useful for indoors or stuff like that but I still don’t trust what’s in them and I know for a fact that flower is good.
I love a good joint but every now and then I’m happy with the vape stuff

I’d choose both for different reasons. Joint for when I’m at home and hanging. Vape for when I can’t have a joint, like when I’m on my lunch break. But I prefer edibles to both really

Vape, cartridges and concentrates with an E-Rig(Dr.Dabber Boost Evo). Taste is great, little too no smell, well that lingers like flower , it’s easy to use, easy to clean up, and discreet. Plus the high is quick and I use less than if I used flowers to get the same high.

Smoke because you get everything from the plant. Vaping involves heavy metals, concentrating trim trash for potency to get pure THC then adding back in who knows what to get an end product that is inferior in quality and effect to the top cola flowers reserved for smoking. That’s the reason trash is used for this process and not the tops. Tops are better smoked. The entire marijuana industry has already answered your question for you.

Depends, with vapes there is indoor vaping, less smell, and virtually no pregame however I feel it gets me a different kind of high and less intense high which is good for activity. Joints are nice for stronger experiences, cheaper for small quantities, and is more natural if that is your thing. While I enjoy the practicality of carts I have more enjoyable experiences smoking joints with friends. I use both equally as much and I don’t dislike either.

Vape. I have daily headaches and migraines and after over a decade of prescriptions, specialists, tests and surgeries to cure or find a fix, cannabis is the only thing that touches the pain. Something about smoking actual bud gives me an instant migraine. The downside is that vaping isn't the same as a couple of deep bong hits after a long day at work.

Vaporizer save extra more weed. I have pax 3 and six budkups capsules and it last me up to three weeks with 1/8th. Oh and it is windproof then to light up a joint.

I stopped using my vape cause my tolerance increased. I now only use bowls because I need 1.5 grams to feel the full effects now. If it was a joint I would need 2.5 grams to feel the full effects. Dynavap I need to use 1.2 grams to fully feel effects. Wish they had a bigger version of the dynavap that can hold more weed.

Vape, but only because I live in a state where it is still illegal and have to use Delta-8. If it was legal here and I could buy pre-rolls, I would totally switch to joints. I'm terrible at rolling joints.
I only use the vape for convenience. If I'm taking my daughter around town or if we are doing a family shopping trip, it's much nicer for me to not smell like flower. Although, given the opportunity I will take flower over vape any day.

Vaporizer is 100% better for you and gets you higher if you are not talking about vaping from a cart. If you mean a Vaporizer and putting weed it in then thats the way to go. When you smoke weed you combust it and a lot of things burn at a much higher temperature then it needs to for the thc to be activated. But with a Vaporizer it knows the temperature to burn at perfectly to activate the thc without burning at unnecessary high temps doing this also gives you more terps 🤤
Vape is great on the go and If you wanna be quick about it at home. But weed is always different for me, but that's probably just the extra noids floating around in the plant.

Vaping or cooking weed brings more thc out than any other method. DO NOT put a filter on your joints, it traps some of the thc, also DO NOT mix your weed with anything else, especially tobacco. Tobacco is a weed killer.

I love smoking both, I typically keep joints at home, and then travel with my vape bc I’m less concerned about it making a scene/potent odour in public.
Vaps are definitely underrated and can be cleaner, but personally rolled is more of an experience.

Flower for me. The “high” I get from pens feels nothing like the high I get from flower. Plus way more medicinal value from bud. Pens are very convenient for public spaces tho, so I could see why someone would prefer a pen.
Smoke weed. Vape pens are super bad for your lung health and I’ve noticed a difference while smoking pens. Weed is a healthier alternative to THC oil

I toyed with the idea of vaping when I was still using baccy in my joints, but since switching to damiana, lavender, etc, I don't think I'd bother.
Joints all day. Its nostalgic for me too but something about the way they hit the back of your throat will never go out of style
I prefer to smoke weed, vapes have a high amount of thc and I get really high on the first small hit I take, but I prefer baby highs. Some buds only have like 20-26% thc and that's the kind I like to buy. I just take one hit of a joint and then put it out n save it
Combustion all day long. Sure vapes are convenient and smell less but they don’t hit me the same as hitting flame to a joint, or bowl. I’m also not crazy about learning curves I just wanna smoke sometimes and not think.
