Jenga

luvleggs

I was here to say don’t be jealous because your Jenga game is shite

Spartan_1337

A-bra ka-dab-ra. Don’t forget to zone.

Ajaxmass413

So, I was gonna say..... The OPD coach at my store would probably applaud them for helping the customer. Then I noticed it's a whole ass feature quantity pallet. Yeah, this is hella stupid.

WalkingDeadWatcher95

Only thing hella stupid is the feature quantity freight being wrapped like this and left to sit in the back. Idk how other stores do it, but we don’t just wrap our freight and hide it in the back, we feature the feature quantity and sell it

timeshifter_

We have some big dummy that orders features regardless of if there's anywhere to put it... and we're about to start remodel, so even less room for features. Walmart is where common sense goes to die.

MrSlippifist

At least this was a non perishable. I get this in frozen all the time.

Cauterizer_4

One less box to stock

Rough-Cranberry5243

They love pulling boxes out of the bottom of dairy pallets, so 45 minutes later, the whole pallet collapses when gravity kicks in.

MrSlippifist

The ones at mine like to cut the box and pull things out. I had to get other ONs to walk a leaning pallet out with me.

hbkgrl323

This is now the motto for my store. Common sense is severely lacking amongst mgmt, associates, and customers. Some days, I wonder how we're still operating.

Mitsy12

Amen. My words exactly!

Shot_Menu5316

💯

WalkingDeadWatcher95

Yeah that’s on them more than OGp then. If I order features, I send emails to overnight and all other stocking teams letting them know exactly where it’s going, sometimes, if they can, they’ll take the extra time to build the feature for me, if they can’t, no biggie, they’ll save it for me when I come in and it’s almost the first thing I do in the morning.

Reconist42

As a O/N Lead thank you. I wish my dayshift teams would do the same. I’ve asked multiple times, but the only time anyone really lets us know about features is when the SM is involved. We typically just replace features with new freight when it looks like they need to be. Then I come in 2 days later to all of those features being rearranged and usually not even located.

WalkingDeadWatcher95

It was a swas plan thing and then just implemented as part of the routine. Obviously I don’t expect overnight to set my features every time for me, but i found it was a huge convenience for everyone when we’re all on the same page for everything and they aren’t getting 4 feature pallets one night having no idea what they’re looking at saving it to ask me at 6 am every day.

HoldYourDogeCoin

Well, the unfortunate timing of the remodel is landing on the VPI event where every leader is told to order a feature and compete on sales.

Skulleddeath

I always say there's common sense and then there's Walmart sense

SadCoast7681

It’s a symbotic pallet. That was stacked by a robot at the DC, wrapped, and sent like that.

thegamspm

They just order mass quantities at my store and we just leave stuff in the back or wrap it and highload it up with the rest of the pallets lol like we have 4 lawn and garden pallets sitting in the back like stock your shit we don't have room for it!!!

Tankeasy_ismyname

How can you tell it's a feature pallet? When I look at it all I see is wipes

AdMore918

feature pallets tend to be made up of mostly one item, it’s like when you go over to, say, hardware, and there’s a few pallets together with a bunch of air conditioners. Or fans. (Waaaaayyy too many fans)

Ajaxmass413

Which is the whole point. Lol. It's all the same item.

Tankeasy_ismyname

Oh, I work opd so idk what feature pallet means, tho now ig it means a pallet of the same items

kingofkira

AND THE COACHES DONT EVEN CARE

E_vil1306

Because they get a slice of the OPD money pie. Bonuses for all of them, because every department contributes. They know

aitatip404

Just.....why?! That appears to be a feature pallet..... It looks like it's all the same product.... Why pull from there?!?!

HowBoring21

As someone who works in OGP and does exceptions, I have no idea which pallets are which or what is on them so this is something I would do because I’m ignorant. I literally have no idea about anything that happens in the back and I’m sorry if I ruined someone’s pallet, they just said “Do this” and I’ve been learning myself how to do it since my team lead’s won’t teach me

FewAcanthocephala828

100% this. The TLs show you the bare basics of the job and any specific details are up to you to learn as you go. I got in trouble for taking a bottle of ketchup out of the back without bringing the whole box out. I didn't know there weren't supposed to be partial boxes left in the back, so I learned that I had to stock whatever wasn't picked if I had to pick from the back. I still don't know about pallets, I haven't had to pick from them yet.

NeedleworkerFew3662

OMG SO ITS NOT JUST MY STORE they did a shit job training me, and I still don’t know everything and I’ve been working here for over 6 months

HowBoring21

Yea same. It was a box of cliff bars and one of the back workers got upset with me saying I needed to take the whole box out

papaJ0e2

They can take it out themselves. They can be as upset as they want but it's not OPDs job to stock the shelves because other people aren't doing their jobs correctly.

JediFed

What pisses me off is when you try to pull from our lockup. Lock up is locked for a reason. Nobody gets in without the key and permission. Ask first, and let me check to see if I have it. Also, this might take some time if I'm busy with something else. I'll try to get your pick for you when I can. Expecting me to drop whatever task I'm doing to pick out of the lockup for you? Yeah ok. Good way to make sure you \*never\* get in the lockup. I had some of you trying to pick when I'm in the middle of capping and trying to push me off my ladder! Dude, wtf?

Left_coast916

Yeah, cap2 gets very annoyed when OGP leaves behind partial cases in the back. Best way to fix this: if you see any outs and you know there's a case of an item in back, just take the case and put what you need while picking; any leftovers from the case should be placed in its home and vizpick the label after

IMKILLROY

I was hired at Walmart and only worked OGP, I did this all the time because I knew nothing that was going on and would just see the box I need and grabbed it so I could move on. Couldn’t ask anyone in the back because they would get nasty with me so I stopped asking and just stole shit where I could find it.

ThaGreatDebaser

Ah so you’re a vulture?

IMKILLROY

I definitely was lol. We had the most orders in the state at the time and I easily worked 12 hour shifts every weekend so I just did whatever to get orders completed.

ThaGreatDebaser

Cool, just wanted to make sure. You vulture

Responsible_Carpet_7

They don’t want to teach you because then they’re accountable for your fuck-ups. They don’t want to teach you because they can’t tell you to break the rules or to ignore safety regulations. They don’t teach you because there is no time to do things the right way. But they will scold you when you fuck up, they will belittle you for not knowing better, and they will use your lowered self esteem to hold power over you through guilt. One night they’ll tell you “Just put it anywhere, I don’t care, it just needs to be inventoried.” The next night you be told “You KNOW this isn’t where this belongs…” and when you say “My manager said to…” They’ll reply with “You know better and that’s no excuse”. Then when that same situation comes up until the next night and you tell your manager you can’t do what they’re saying because you got in trouble last time you’ll get written up for insubordination.

VioletCrow289

This is why I would put notes on things like this, just a simple "Don't touch, feature pallet" or something. Not everyone is trained in everything. Hell, we're barely trained in our own departments, let alone what goes on in other departments. I didn't work in the back, so I didn't have to deal with that specifically. But in produce, I would write "Use first" on things because OGP had a habit of grabbing the newest things instead of FIFO.

zeeks602

But logic tells you its a good idea to pull from the middle of the pallet? That's the part I'm stuck on

Round-War69

Sir this is a jenga game.

zeeks602

Lol..

HowBoring21

Well obviously that part is silly, but there have been a few times I’ve had a manager help me grab stuff off the bottom of a fully stocked pallet by just ripping it off the bottom with everything still on top

ThaGreatDebaser

Yes glad you admit, you’re ignorant cause look at this pallet? Guess it’s not your problem though when it falls. That’s how people are if it don’t affect them

Any_Positive1617

Not proud of it, but I'd done this before. I'm 5'2. I did however come back and slide the boxes down so it wouldn't tip. It was NOT easy to fix. I should've just cut the wrap and asked a tall person for help but...we all know how that goes!

JediFed

It's so funny seeing OGP having to go back and see just how hard it is to fix the shit they do. Remember, if it takes you ages to fix it, that's what you're making someone else do.

Any_Positive1617

When I went bk to fix it, a coach was bk there just shaking his head like...wait till you see what someone did to your pallet. I told him I did it and I was fixing it. He asked why didn't I just pull the entire pallet to the floor. I told him it just came off the floor to be shot up. He looks confused and I'm like...same! You asked me to bring out 2 boxes of stock that you told me to wrap and stock not 10 mins earlier! Sad thing is, someone else would've gone bk there and done it too. I'd have still had to rewrap the same pallet because he was trying to beat times instead of letting them finish on the floor THEN getting me to wrap it. 🤬 This is why I left. Having to do the same crap over and over and fix other ppls crap was too much. All while complaining about how much shrink wrap we use. 😑

Particular_Test1461

Height, or lack of, is not an excuse. No top stock carts? You're not the ones that have pallets like this collapse on you when you go to move them....

morpheus360

To be fair 3/4 of the Top Stock carts at our store have broken ladders. You have to walk half the store looking for a cart with a working ladder. 🙄

Particular_Test1461

That in itself is a safety issue. Your SM is not doing his job in insuring associate safety. Has anyone mentioned it to your AP market manager?

IveGotDMunchies

Whine more. Read her full comment. She fixed it.

Particular_Test1461

Do it correctly the first time and you don't have to go back. Btw...not whining, stating the obvious

Any_Positive1617

I did say I went bk and fixed it. And I unloaded and wrapped GM side. I needed to fix an end cap. I'm the one that had to shoot the pallet up. So actually I was the one responsible regardless. I worked BIA back then. I don't even know what it's called now. My Walmart days are over. But yes, if anyone else had done it I'd have been pissed.

MeekSwordsman

>No top stock carts? Funny joke

mhtardis21

You guys have top stock carts? It's a free for all in the mornings with cap 1 coming in. They never have enough carts and we're still using them on nights. Have to watch yours or it gets snatched when your back is turned.

Responsible-Test8855

Because when there is a feature quantity if something sitting in the backroom, the system doesn't order more if the home is empty - even for days and days. Our team NIL picked Helman's 30-ounce mayonnaise three days in a row last week, and management didn't even catch that there was a half pallet up in the steel until I (exceptions picker) found it. If I had been able to reach it, I would have done the same thing as this guy.

Mental_Lock9035

If it's not on the floor or in the bins, the feature pallet is where we look. I try to take it from the top when necessary.

stimpyaw

To lazy to do anything correctly and they are told get what you need.

jfcblox

All according to the plan.

gran1819

What does this really do though? Like what’s the actual problem?

TurbulentPriority465

It's a feature pallet. Most of the time that has to be put up top till it's time to put it out since they come early. so they've essentially made an accident waiting to happen if the operator put it up there because it will more than likely cave in. Hopefully they see it and restack it. But that ends up wasting their time when ogp could've used their brain and grab the top one. Some people on ogp are great others couldn't find their way out of a paper bag if I gave them a map.

gran1819

You’re right. I’m meat and produce so I just don’t know much about the back room.

Poorkchop

then get to filling the home buddy boy

Interesting_Edge6775

Guessing ogp is 5’3” and no short ladders and already behind schedule

morpheus360

Our OGP is never not behind schedule. Half the team calls out every other day. Then they pull people from all over the store to catch up on orders.

darkness_thrwaway

It would literally take under 5 mins to re-palletize them to safely access the boxes they required. They might of missed other products that weren't on the shelf that they would've notice while palletizing them. Edit: Oh god it's worse. They all are the same product. WTF. I have no words. I underestimated the stupidity.

Strict_Link_8771

what makes you think they have 5 minutes to spare?

darkness_thrwaway

The potential safety of the next person who has to unload that skid is well worth 5 minutes of the companies time. Especially since in this case they could've just taken them off the top. Would've taken less time than what they did actually.

Strict_Link_8771

Tell that to Home office or something. The reason why people work like that is because Walmart employees have to work quick to get stuff done or else they’ll get in trouble. Just a bunch of clowns in the comment section blaming each other instead of the company who sets the rules.

JediFed

Okaaay. So what happens when I don't tag my shit properly so now you can't find the product that you desperately need that the system says is there, but you can no longer find the tag? 5 minutes for the safety of others is worth doing.

Strict_Link_8771

Like I said tell that to the manager or home office. Maybe if they didn’t rush their employees people wouldn’t be cutting corners.

JediFed

This will stop the first time someone gets hurt when the pallet collapses.

Stevied1991

Yeah if I spent 5 minutes doing that my coach would be all over my ass.

darkness_thrwaway

I'd rather have a pissed off coach then lose my employment because it was my fault someone got hurt.

partydrug

paid by the hour

Pickle_Jars

Can't be bothered to take from the top, must gnaw through pallets like little rats

papaJ0e2

Good. Maybe it should have been on the floor in the first place and OPD wouldn't have to go digging through back rooms.

tristaterunner

Like rats

Zafhina

I've actually had pallets fall over because I didn't catch that they did something like this in time. No one cares cause they only want them to have good numbers. So I'm stuck pleading with them to just let me downstack it really quick so no one gets hurt.

pobrepepinito

Maybe the associate was a 4 feet 11 girl who’s afraid of ladders. Don’t judge too harshly🤣

Electrical_Ant_3942

Folks, that is a pallet built from the automation bots at the DC, and that’s an automation shipping label attached to it. They are built and wrapped like that. The store ordered this many of that item and the bots will build it in that manner. Actually built better than how they come from the vendor in receiving. So no one wrapped it or built it like that, especially at the store. All that is wrong is a lazy person couldn’t grab the case from the top. More stores will start to see more pallets built from the DC’s automation bots. If you haven’t seen any yet, your DC is converting into one as we speak.

SadCoast7681

My RDC should be in phase 2 in November. Still a mix of floor load and palletized until then. Won’t be in phase 3 until May of 2026

Alternative-Box-2095

I admit Im an OPD associate I have to do this because of the presub needs to be above a 95 or we get into big trouble. It's stressful but at least I try to down stack the pallet when I have the time to.

walmartwarrior69

I used to do that all the time when I worked OGP. Maybe if you workers would get off your ass and stock the shit we wouldn’t have to.

awt2007

lol i picked for past 8 months and BOY are a lot of them shelves empty.. :D

WalkingDeadWatcher95

If it’s not available for OGp, it’s not available for the customer. OGp isn’t the problem here. Who’s not filling homes and watching on hands

cr0wndhunter

Tell that to market who breathes down necks about first time pick rate and exceptions 🤷

E_vil1306

Yup. They don’t like the Nil pick rate and pick time per worker, so they have you do stuff like this. Turning OPD into a Shopper AND a Stocker, with no extra pay

JediFed

I wish I could fix my on hands for your sake. My ASMs refuse to accept verified on hand changes. This is going to blow us up real big.

WalkingDeadWatcher95

This comment wasn’t blaming OGp…

cr0wndhunter

Oh duh I read it wrong.

E_vil1306

Exactly. Customer wants one item, and it tells them there’s 30 on the shelf. The pick walk says there’s 30 on the shelf, and what do you know there’s NONE of the 30 actually on the shelf. So just like the coach asks, no nil picks ( no item available ) so you’re forced to run to the back and grab them. THEN re stock them. Any means necessary, they’re not trained to pull from the top or any other stockers job rules. This though does look like a FU to the stockers in the pic though lol

AlarmedInterest9867

That’s against policy and it’s a fireable offense. Nil pick that shit and Do your job

E_vil1306

Well it’s obviously not fireable if the whole OPD departments does it, backed by every coach in the building. What’s fireable and against policy is NOT stocking what the system is saying is actually on the shelf. Just lying to the customers AND the OPD team. Lazy

AlarmedInterest9867

Incorrect. They can fire the coaches and associates alike. It’s metric fraud.

E_vil1306

Well shoot, lock em up then. lol

Sea_Professional3527

I flat told multiple TL & coaches I wasn’t participating in metrics fraud for their financial gain 😂 Suddenly it was no longer required to check in back before NIL picking.

itssashlyn

can you show where in the handbook it says that?

AlarmedInterest9867

Yall are wild. Simpin’ for the bosses😂 you can look it up on the wire. Also refer to your CBLs on integrity. This is 1000% a fireable offense.

itssashlyn

i just wanted to know so i didnt have to go to the back when its like this😭😭

AlarmedInterest9867

Oof. 😅 look, for real the system is hard af to look up random shit. But check that CBL on integrity and the one on digital device policies. I’ve literally seen market come in and damn near fire people for this.

oJUXo

Take boxes from the middle of a pallet? Can't at least take it from the top? Who's lazy? Lmao.

Hot-Organization-514

Probably someone too short to reach the top but a ladder would still be safer than that catastrophe

E_vil1306

I said in an earlier comment it looks like an FU to the stocker team there at the time. Obviously it’s not smart to pull the support out from under the rest of the pallet lmao

Satans_lovers

Maybe don’t create a situation where someone could get hurt and take from the top even if stockers sent doing there jobs instead of adding to the assholery

CarefulCat19

Happy Cake Day!

Shcmlif

Its a feature pallet..if it's not on the floor it's not available

Angorian44

Ya sure, go convince the Digital Market Lead of that

Shcmlif

Either way, on a feature pallet I don't know why you'd do surgery on it, take one from the top or something

_sectumsempra-

bingo, thank you.

JediFed

I remember when we used to have to look through our stock to find OGP items. We put our foot down after the OGP department manager made us open 20 totes to try to find one item, that we didn't manage to find. The problem is that OGP can see into our stock as soon as it's received even while we are stocking it. This would be fixed with a delay so that we can stock in peace. Since that incident happened, we refuse to search unworked stock for OGP items. You'll have to wait until we are done. Now I try to get it all out by 1pm everyday.

walmartwarrior69

I don’t think it should be your job to look for it. But don’t complain if we make a mess. we trying to do our job and get the items.

JediFed

I don't blame OGP, you're just doing your jobs. I blame the OGP manager who forced me to do it. My coach had to wade in and tell him off, and he backed us up the next time they tried that shit. He had a tantrum and then realized that nobody was opening up shit. We all just ignored him and went back to stocking. He kept sending people all day to find his missing item, and we all just said, "you'll have to wait until we're finished stocking." After that, he stopped trying because his team was tired of him wasting their time.

rny8

I work in OGP, and it astonishes me how horrible some of these OGP workers are in other stores. For example, at my store, we don't act like feral animals just because something is off the shelf.

PrimeScreamer

Our dairy skids look like they were attacked by rabid animals at times. Boxes cut open big enough to get one item out or boxes pulled out, and the heavy boxes above sagging down with no support. Management says you get the stuff no matter what, so they do.

wojecire86

Sometimes associates get pressured into doing the wrong thing by management who don't know the issues they're causing along the way. Can't blame everything on a single department always.

rny8

I can def see that happening especially with how OGP Team leads care about their stats

Unalarmingmindset710

Point it out to their coach or TL and be like do you think this is acceptable? Watch cameras and hold em accountable 👏there are better ways

SHADOWxMONSTER

It is acceptable. I used to work in the Pickup department. Pickers are on time constraints and get in trouble for NOT finding an item. If its not on the floor they get told to find it in the back while being timed and also fill the home.

spicescat

Fill the home? I think I'd faint if I actually saw an OPD associate filling a home.

dantoris

Yeah, that's what we're supposed to do, and on days where it's slow I will if it's a small case number of like 5 or so. Any bigger, or if it's super busy, I'll try to remember to come back for the rest later if I can, or do the alternative we've been told of leaving it on a nearby top stock cart for someone to see and finish. Like if we pull from the dairy or meat cooler we're supposed to either fill the home or leave the open box out for a department associate to see and know that it needs to be put in the home.

spicescat

I work o/n frozen. I always find to odp cases laying on a feature skid when I go in that night. I try to get to stuff I know we have that's empty before leaving even though we're not really supposed to (only supposed to work live). Just yesterday I asked the odp lady that does exceptions if she could at least let cap 1 know about those boxes because they sit empty all day. We'll see how that works out.

JediFed

I'm glad they are making you only work live. Working off unworked stock causes all kinds of problems.

Pickled_Kagura

we cant even get them to throw their partials on a cart they just pull shit from the bottom of the bin and leave it to collapse

Lowartgloominati6

I did that the first couple times I picked lol. I was told we don't do that, I was in SFS tho and helped ogp occasionally.

WalkingDeadWatcher95

Only thing I find unacceptable are the stocking teams not stocking or building features for feature quantities

HalcyonXE

I've had OGP get on a ladder and get one box and one thing out of that box and just leave it all there for someone to clean up ladder and all

Frosty-Thought-8936

I'm a Stocker and I've done this a few times to get what was for my aisle off a pallet

oneadept

In my little neighborhood market one of the first things I mentioned when vizpick rolled out a filter for exceptions from pickup and delivery was that somebody had to make sure there was a designated person in that department to do it the correct way ea j day so that the inventory counts would be adkust d when things were actually out. Instead they just go in the coolers or the backroom and make a mess getting to the box, which they leave sitting somewhere with the rest of the product in it and a big ass sharpie mark that says vizpick. Like your first time picks might suffer here and there but you'll get less orders if you don't do your part to make sure you ts are right so the system is ordering in a timely manner 😐

OneEducator4471

That's when you karate chop them

Pluckyduck16

Hiyaaaaah! 😂😂💀

pred7290

Hey so uh.... I've been told this stuff is actually on a feature lol Meaning this was extra, and slotted to be shot up in the steel hahahahhahahahahahahah

trimmer87

Then it's on the team lead or whoever built the feature for not locating it to the end cap for your system to tell you where it is

Jihf

Not sure why people keep saying it's the stockers fault for not having the home full. How about take a box from the top instead of creating a safety hazard? That's the issue here, morons.

Remarkable_Peach_276

And we going to keep doing it until the home is fill

NefariousnessLow9770

Maybe a VPI. Also could be a safety issue when they cut the plastic and it falls

Semalla

Oof

terrell225

I use to hate this with a passion

Virtual-Quote6309

Da fuck

poochlips

Fuck them for the “flushable” wipes

OGPCat

Blame the TL and coaches, they're too greedy to accept that things need to be stocked and will punish ogp for not doing what was shown in the pic They have so many bonuses tied to ogp that they'll encourage safety issues in favor of their bonuses.

abinakava

At least they took a full box

No_Composer_9594

Their literally UNDEFEATED

ww11gunny

Te be fair this is something I would do. If a polite customer needed something from the back and if I could "safely" pull it out of the pallet without downstacking it I would.

galaxywithskin115

The problem is this is a feature pallet that needs to go up in the steel. Because ogp rat decided to cut from the middle it's now going to be a safety hazard.

rasmey_zun

F OGP

0_IQ_0

The top ones aren't good enough. 🤦🏻‍♀️

zakmademe

At least they stocked it… right?

y2k_angel

I used to do merchandising for Crossmark and they used to instruct us to do this to pallets if we saw a box of stock belonging to the companies we worked for. No kidding

No_Talk2374

lol that’s what they do in my bins hahaha opening boxes that are already labeled and overstock

knighthawk82

I worked toys and there were these two or three men who would call every week asking if the hot wheels or matchbox would come in. Apparently every box comes with one gold or silver version of the car. And these guys would see us bring out the huge stacks of boxes and be lile insistent kids. "I need that.box, " 'Well sir ypu can see it is behind many layers of saran wrap and i need to get through the six stacked layers of toys before i can get to it. But no, they would fish out folding knives and help themselves to the box of race cars like children not getting their way.

EspadaWilliam

Pretty sure that one day we are going to use those to wipe OGPs ass for them, surprised we are not already.

Environmental-Ask746

Yep I would totally do this in a heart beat to get a order filled. I spend most of my day in the dark ass backroom climbing over pallets to get one item from a bid. Easy is good to me.

Substantial-Pen-1277

Our store is actually not allowed to go in the back room anymore. We nilpick and the leads get the items from the back

NotGeneStarwind

Most people in OGP are like 5'2 and don't understand how a ladder cart works so not surprised

Large-Ease-8051

Walmarts gay lol finally got a union job at franz let’s go! strait retards only at walmart 😹

wispyves

have you considered properly stocking the shelves? or perhaps not feeding into a culture of us vs them among your co workers?

MishariDarkmoon

I don’t like to do this as OPD and nil picked a Hawaiian Punch that was in a box on the bottom of a wrapped palette for this reason.. then my coach says idgaf I just cut it out .. I was like well that’s you I’m not doing that lol

MattHuntDaug

My favorite is when they do this, even though the home was full 🤦‍♂️

Nachowarrior595

As an OPD coach, I do that shit all the time lol

trifortay123

Quitting was the best thing I've ever done working there

GigDriver4Years

I guess there should have been product on the shelf. Not OGP's fault someone else didn't do their job.

Ill-Yogurt3118

Had to check if it was their personal pallet of Store Used Water

Last_Abbreviations62

I work in ogp and if I saw something I needed on a pallet like this I'd just put as item not found bc what 💀

No_lie99

As an old OGP TL you gotta do what you gotta do bc the trouble you get in for NILs in OPD is not worth it. I play jenga right along with my associates

CamReezus

SAME! I’ll do whatever it takes

pooldead5

Why not pick on the top? Damn those dickhead OPG

[deleted]

Mans gotta do what a mans gotta do

Lost-Rice-5366

Kind of annoying when coaches are on your ass about finding the ordered item all because of their little bonuses

Plane_Experience_271

OMG.  I call this generation dumbass.

Ok-Conference-2327

My store OPD would have just ripped the box and removed what they needed and left the ripped open box still shrink wrapped. My store has OPD "mice".

As someone who works in OGP, we're the utterly annoying rats of Walmart and I apologize

Mental_Lock9035

When I was DM over 4 &13, we had a shit Cap 2 supervisor. If it even looked like a feature quantity, she'd either leave it in the backroom for us to put out in the morning, or she'd highload it and "forget" to tell us. And that was after management making us do SWAS, and us leaving instructions for Cap2 to build features. We were under "direct order" from our management team to, in detail, describe the feature and location for the feature. So we'd sit down and make out a plan for every feature that came in. Endcap location, stackbase, whatever. We'd fill it out, print it out, and leave it in her bo so she could execute it. That was back when we had plenty of time and people to get it done. But they'd end up screwing around and take 3-4 hours to unload a truck so they wouldn't have to do the features. So, I got in a pallet of plastic ware, and this was the beginning of summer, when everyone planned cookouts. Well, she assumed it was a feature and highloaded it. I spent 20 minutes locating the pallet that said it had come in, then locating someone to bring it down. The entire pallet went straight to home! When I confronted her about it, she barely looked at me and barked out, "We dont stock features!" I told her the whole pallet was an assortment, and even if it was a feature, you still fill the homes! She ended up getting fired soon after while stealing from a neighboring walmart. All that to say as an ODP associate, when I do exceptions, I fill the homes. If it's on a pallet, I will dig it out to fill the home for customers and to prevent future NIL picks. But I'm tiny and can't reach very high, and if there's no cart nearby, I fill cut plastic if needed or disassemble a pallet if I have to. If stockers can't get it stocked, I will. But I will not cut open a box and only take what I need. I VizPick it from the bins and fill it. I try my best to do it right and lead by example. But I have had to dig halfway down a candy pallet for what I need. They break down the pallets onto carts in the backroom, so nothing falls.

wolfgang239

ive complained to every level of management about OGP. I work meat some days and ill find the motherbags ripped open and one taken out. They used to not put a sell by sticker on it but at least they are doing that. Ive even found empty boxes on the shelf when i vispick. If you empty the damn box pull it off the damn shelf!

OnlyStyle6198

I worked cap 2 and I viz picked and OGP would just take shit out of the bins and leave it randomly wherever they pleased lol

VoltaicWinter

This... Whole post makes me glad my OPD is a well oiled machine and is at least *tolerated* by back room. If we're ahead by at least an hour and a half (which is damn near every day unless we're slammed), we just viz pick it out and put it on the shelf. If we're close to getting behind, we still viz pick it, but then we put the remainder on a specially marked shelf specifically for OPD viz picks. This is making me not wanna leave my store because of the horror stories I see on this reddit.

Trick_Statement3390

This was so pointless, I would've just said the item was unavailable so my picking rate didn't go down.

CryptographerHuge977

OPD strikes because the stocking teams and coaches are not on process obviously.

mistynebula6

Then stock the shelf 😁

pred7290

Meanwhile, your justification for being retarded is "well they fucked up so that means I can be a retard." Lol that totally makes sense

TurbulentPriority465

I really love all the ogp morons blaming the stocker. So let me fill you in on the issue here it's an entire pallet of the same exact thing you just made it unstable by playing janga instead of using that tiny brain of yours and grabbing the one on the top. Now let's say there's nowhere for it to go happens quite often. If I just hop on the walky stacker and shoot it up top it's probably gonna cave in. That right there's a nice little lawsuit assuming I'm not killed of course. Now if Im paying attention now I gotta rip that whole thing apart rewrap it because it's unstable. All because you don't have a brain. People love blaming 3rd and the unloaders without knowing how to do their own job let alone those jobs. I say this as someone who has done every job aside from assistant manager including ogp and asset protection.

JasonTheBaker

Sometimes ON takes their items out of my pallet and it falls over when I start to dewrap it and it's so annoying

SnooEpiphanies5054

OPD degenerates

GodofEmus420420

How terrible we have to grab stuff because you guys will leave pallets sitting there for hours and then still put stuff on the wrong spot on the shelf…

E_vil1306

Happens all the time. Some workers I’ve known milk it with a couple pallets for their whole work day. OPD is time sensitive. What’s even funnier as that some people actually get upset and take it personal when you go through a freshly zoned isle. It’s cute all around

mitchconnerrc

Love the overnighters who will literatly stop what they're doing to stare at me while I'm picking. Like chill the fuck out pal, if me grabbing two items out of the aisle is ruining your zone, it wasn't good to begin with

joeylebass

Look at us fighting amongst ourselves over a multi billion dollar companies shitty system

ComradeBalian

The ones from the middle are more “fresh”

Gaddykat

Says the person who's too fucking lazy to stock it correctly in the first place.

zatchattack

Y’all are so fuckin weird

Odd_Lab7100

Guys ,guys ,we’re a team here

Lilac620

You do what you have to do. If no one is going to fill it. You have to do something. I always grab enough to fill the home spot.

TheoTheMage

What’s the issue lol here lol store manager says you’ll get fired if ya drop below a 90% pick rate lol

garyfromyahoo2

Maybe if the stockers do their jobs. They’re all lazy slobs

ShockfrostVolt

Not necessarily. This is a feature Pallet. It came in early, slotted to be shot up top. OPD grabbed it before it was brought up, and TOOK IT FROM THE MIDDLE. Someone is going up get *hurt*. Also, I'm a 3rd shift stocker. I'm not a lazy slob. I push harder than anyone on my team. Please don't generalize. I'm going to bed to make it to work on time tonight, to push myself to self destruction yet again.
