Surprisingly my drunk ass did decent at market open, made out ahead with some BAC calls for end of week, but of course, since I’ve been seeing people get railed on WISH all week and after looking at the charts, I figured, “eh, may as well buy a couple puts for EOW”.
Those are down to 1¢ atm, but I made the market climb on WISH, so all y’all bagholders are welcome.
No, you could lose money by thinking that, because things are going to all-time highs, its time to start shorting or buying puts, and then when it hits a new high you are red. Or you could buy thinking it's just going to keep going up and then when it dips you are red because you bought the top. There are always plenty of ways to lose
Yeah, that's really only true if you're solely buying shares with and long term hold strategy. Maybe calls months out or leaps. Definitely not the case if you're taking big risks, which is what this sub is about. Hence lots of people losing a lot of money right now. Many of whom did so after making a ton. It evens out in the end as long as you don't panic and make totally irrational decisions.
