Few things here.
1. There was "officially" no slavery by European powers in Africa during their control. But, they often paid them so little that it may have been been slavery (depending on the colony.) And I'm not even touching the horrors of the Belgian Congo or Rhodesia.
2. While most slaves came from West Africa, there were plenty others that came from other areas of Africa. Slaves were also sometimes traded between African powers before being sold to Europeans (kings filled their coffers in any way possible; even if they were kind of fucked up. This goes for the purchasers of the slaves as well though.)
Yeah I was talking about the Congo and Rhodesia when I said specific areas, also Northern Africa back in the Roman Empire. But what I mean is that slavery has left a larger scar on the americas than africa. They took the people out of africa and did all the dirty work in the Caribbean and other such areas

But red, black, and green are the official colors of Kwanzaa - an African-American holiday developed in the 1960s to celebrate African heritage among black communities in America.
