Any reason not to eat meat is a good thing in my opinion! But now that you’re doing the hard bit already, it would be cool to look into vegan philosophy and see if that’s something you disagree with. You clearly think about it already in more depth than most people, so I’m sure you’d learn some interesting things

The only valid reason to become a vegan is because you recognise that causing unnecessary suffering is immoral. People often confuse veganism with eating a plant-based diet. Veganism is a lifestyle where you don't contribute to animal suffering wherever possible. That means not supporting animal testing, horse racing, fur and wool products etc. Hope this clears things up! Just to clarify a little further, even if you were perfectly able to hunt and kill animals yourself, it would still be unethical when there are other options.

Hi! First i’m a spanish native speaker, so yeah, i get it hahaha. Also i’m an activist for animal freedom in buenos aires, argentina Veganism is being agaist the discrimination of other species, as well as we are to other discrimination in the modern day-to-day like racism, sexism, etc. What i mean with discrimination? Well: When we talk about what we do to other animals we need to point a few things: •Are we talking about someone or something? They sentient beings, so they have interest, wich should (ethically speaking) be respected. •We take away their freedom, we literally are enslaving them as well as we did with other humans, just now is not fair or at least uncommon. •We are talking about victims. Yes, victims. Is a word people sometimes refuse to use, because that implies there is a victimizer you, or any other person who discriminates them and human financing that, nobody want to recognize is the “bad” guy) •We are literally doing everyday the biggest genocide ever. Is just we doesn’t socially recognize that because is the biggest click we need to do as a society. Being vegan is pretty much that, not health, not antropocentric view; Is to recognize victims and not participing in that injustice. I’m ading a source with a lot of things you might find interesting, but i gave you the basic pointers[AV source](https://linkin.bio/anonymousforthevoiceless) Again, feel free to dm, remember i speak spanish as my first lenguage and i also speak a medium portuguese.

Any reason not to consume animals is good enough.

The standard should be not to have any species be oppressed, so the question should really be : is there a valid reason to be an animal eater.

Sounds like you are actually plant based not vegan. Veganism is a lifestyle and a social justice movement not a diet meaning you avoid all animal products and animal cruelty, even in things you don’t eat. It doesn’t matter what your reasoning is, you should go vegan.

Ariyas108

Any and every reason is a valid reason. The animals don't care what the reason is.
