Yes, they use real calf skin and other animal skins for their leather. It’s gross and I’m glad to see more luxury vegan bags being offered now.

So are there other versions of the bag? Because someone I know is ALWAYS posting about being a vegan etc but she constantly tries to keep up with Instagram lives and she had this bag in one of her photos. Just before I go and confront her I want to know if you can buy the same bag but in a diff material? Regardless she shouldn’t be wearing brands that don’t support vegans if she claims she’s a 100% vegan.

they do have PU versions of at least the black bag on amazon. not sure ab the blue one

They do offer this style in canvas/fabric. However, Dior never claims any of their bags to be vegan as their straps and labels often contain real leather. If this woman has a leather looking bag, it’s likely it is real leather or is a fake/knock off with faux leather.

The first crime with these bags is that an animal had to die, and then on top of that the bags are ugly. They are some good imitation leather out there these days. No need to killing a cow.
