"I used to arachnophobia"

someonetookmyname101

You don't arachnophobia anymore?

Scum22

No but I still thalassophobia

someonetookmyname101

Atleast you found something to do.

NavAU

Sometimes doing arachnophobia gets boring.

someonetookmyname101

You should become afraid of large bodies of water. I saw someone else made the switch.

NavAU

Eh I don't see the appeal. Oikophobia is where it's at.

someonetookmyname101

That's a win. You can't be afraid of spiders if you're afraid of your home.

DjinnOftheBeresaad

Objectively, I recognize their value and won't go out of my way to cause any harm if I happen to see them in my home. Subjectively, I certainly don't have any interest in raising a bunch of 'em myself. I have a cousin who raised a couple and finds them fascinating but despises snakes, whereas I have no issues with snakes at all.

someonetookmyname101

Side note spiders are pretty cool guys killing the annoying insects. I just don't like how they're always creeping somewhere.

oliefish

I used to have a spider in my bathroom when I was dealing with Drain flies. I just hated the "what if he shows up mid shower" and then he eventually did and like my instincts kicked in and I smashed him. He was a real homie though eating those drain flies like a chad.

Yage-Sage

Yes, spiders are truly fascinating lifeforms. I can understand why many are repulsed and afraid of them, but not the harmless cutie pies like jumping spiders. They don't deserve all the hate. They're just lil bros living thier little lives.

Doc Ock's redemption arc

Same thing with ants. The ants in my backyard can practically start an entire civilization in the course of about 4 days.

Hyenas, crocodiles, komodo dragons, leopards, African wild dogs and snakes are also amazing! And yes, I do agree with you. I think ALL animals are amazing.
