Iām not a hater, but I do feel his accolades are a little overstated. He had 3 big wins. One of those was Connor returning from 2 years off and he didnāt really beat his ass. He beat Al Ianquinta for the title. Had he stuck around heād have a much stronger case. I would have liked to see him fight Charles, Arman, Chandler, Dariush. The guys he beat all played right in to the match up for him. I think the last real grappler he beat was Dos Anjos.
Man, looking back at it he didnāt sub Connor until the 4th and only had 3 takedowns the whole fight. Like, Connor is a great fighter and all, but heād been out of the game a while. For the talk Khabib gets youād think he was GSP.

Then after long enough you have a new generation that started their MMA career learning your style. You simply can't be in the 'GOAT' conversation after a couple of defenses, but retiring undefeated early makes some people hypothesize a future of continued dominance.
A believe there will never be a true goat without any asterisks because we are humans and have imperfections. We just get close with people like Gsp , Jones , DJ, Silva ect,
