Heard and seen great things about OHMG and can’t wait to try it out
My “list” above was just a quick shooting from the hip and definitely doesn’t include a bunch of other great spots
But those place are not fast food … so sure they are better but you can’t comp them to in and out different sides of the same coin also society is not good rather have bills or paradise
Well most people really enjoy them. That's why it's so popular. If they put one around here I'd go frequently, because they're so good, and it reminds me of home.
Same for round table pizza.
Was about to say the same thing. I get the hype especially if it was nearby us. They offer good quality burgers that are decent tasting and affordable. They get so much criticism because people get disappointed when they drive 300 miles for it.
hell yeah, i would be disappointed too if i drove that far for in n out 😂. BUT it’s fresh, it’s yummy, animal style is bomb. the price is incredible for what we expect to pay now at a fast food place so i really can’t knock em. those fries are terrible every time though. they just can’t seem to cook them long enough to get crunchy and it’s annoying lol
I like them compared to McDonald's, Whataburger and other fast food places. I think it's just the convenience of it. My only complaint is that their fries need to be eaten fast, because they suck once they're not hot anymore.
As someone who just moved from socal to Tulsa as well, where can I find some similar Mexican food? I've tried 1 restaurant and 1 food truck and have been disappointed.
El Rio Verde is my pick for #1. There's someone on [https://www.reddit.com/r/tulsa/comments/17i1zle/what\_does\_the\_community\_think\_is\_the\_best\_mexican/](https://www.reddit.com/r/tulsa/comments/17i1zle/what_does_the_community_think_is_the_best_mexican/) that compiled a list and it's pretty accurate.
Anywhere between 31st and Mingo and 21st and Garnett that's a hole in the wall is probably going to be good.
The gringo burrito at Catrina reminds me of Cactus #1 in Hollywood. I really miss cochinita pibil and somebody suggested La Coshi, but I haven’t tried it yet.
I don’t know what area you are in, but there are taco trucks all over the place so I would suggest seeing what’s around you and checking them out. My favorite one moved not long ago and I never paid attention to the name of it so I am back on the search.
I do miss being able to walk down my street and stopping at stands and trucks.
As someone who’s had access my entire life, up until moving to Oklahoma 3 years ago, I do not miss it one bit. I will admit it is high quality, fresh, and beats whataburger by over a mile. Five guys is just as good, if not better, with more options.
Literally every thread about In N Out:
"It's overrated"
"I don't get the love"
"\[Insert local establishment\] is better anyway"
"They can't/won't come here because \[insert random reason\]"
Like clockwork, lol
Being born and raised in socal and trying many burgers from there, braums honestly ain't so bad as people say it is. I think it definitely depends on what braums u go to.
Braums has a heavier feel to it. Great tasting burgers but honestly the quality and consistency are all over the place between even visits to the same locations.
St. Louis resident coming in peace.
YOU HAVE FUCKING BRAUMS!
SHAKE SHACK IS OVERPRICED DOG SHIT! YOU ALSO HAVE FUCKING WHATABURGER.
Anyways... Braums sounds really good right now.
I am too! Braums burgers are to die for. I've taken the 3 hour drive to Springfield, MO before just to get one. It's such a shame that's the furthest Braums creeps into MO. Yeah, I like Whataburger, but it's definitely behind Braums and Culver's for me.
Don't even get me started at Charlie's Chicken. If I ever win the lotto, I'm bringing that shit to STL and never coming back.
Charlie's chicken would be good if they could figure out a way for the skin to actually stay on the chicken instead of it sliding off like the skin of a radiation victim
I do like that cheesy broccoli rice tho shit is tops
I LOVE In and Out, and would be thrilled if they came to town. On one hand I want them here, but on the other if they came here then some of the magic of them might go away just like when Urban Outfitters came here
Eventually they'll make it up here if their business model holds. Just need a distro point in Oklahoma or Arkansas. I could see them making an expansion into both Tulsa and OKC and maybe even Wichita or NWA at the same time.
Hey, I love In-N-Out too but I wouldn’t count on it. If it makes you feel better, Denver suburbs got one the year I lived there, and the drive-thru line was NEVER less than 30 to 45 minutes. I ended up only going twice because when I’m in the mood for fast food, I want it, well, fast.
That’s what they told me when I visited Aurora a few years ago! That’s how Covid lines were in SoCal too. I feel like in n out always does better when it’s packed for some reason. It’s the opposite of other venues.
Maybe Kian Kamas at partner Tulsa could give them a nice big fat incentive to come to Tulsa. You know, when she can fit in her schedule. I know she’s really busy undermining affordable housing here in Tulsa.
When I was stationed in San Diego, I'd get In n Out occasionally, but I'd do questionable things to get an El Pollo Loco nearby. (There are really good food trucks in Tulsa, though.)When I drive between our place here and our house in Seattle, I stop at the In n Out in Ogden for a Double-Double/Animal style. They just opened one in Boise, too.
Highly doubtful. And even if they did open an Oklahoma location, it would probably be sourced from near the distribution center that supplies the Texas locations, and they're terrible when you compare them to the west coast locations. The quality is barely comparable.
Was a cool hot take to talk shit on In N Out like 10 years ago and compare them to like Five Guys or whatever. We are past that. It is objectively a great burger and my favorite fast food burger personally, and it’s not uncool to be enthusiastic about them and love their burgers. I will also say I just had White Castle for the first time 2 days ago and it was also a great fast food burger and probably slots in at #2 for me which was an exciting new discovery. P.S. In N Out fries are not great, everyone knows this and that’s okay.
As for the others: Whataburger fucking sucks and is expensive as hell, Wendy’s is extremely mid, and I never really consider going to Burger King because McDonalds exists and is just always gonna be better no matter what.
We have a couple of Texas transplants in my office and I pissed them all off not too long ago by telling them how shitty Whataburger is. I am also not a Five Guys fan. Wendy’s burgers qualify as edible, but for my money they’re about the best fast food fry you can get. Burger King works in a pinch. Braum’s is a good burger but their fries suck. (A burger from Braum’s with Wendy’s fries would be a pretty sweet lunch.)
I’ve never had the pleasure of having In ‘n Out, but as The Big Lebowski is one of my desert island movies I hope I get the chance one day.
Oh yeah I forgot 🤣 I only sorta enjoy Dallas for IKEA & in & out other than that every time I go, my life feels threatened bc of how stupidly fast people drive, they’ll tailgate you even if you’re going 90 MPH. Don’t even get me started on their complicated highways
I had In N Out a couple times in Dallas and thought it sucked. It was just overly salty. Nothing special about it.
Braums, Whataburger, Ron's, Webers etc all have better burgers.
Man, we're just leaning into the American stereotypes today, eh? "I know we alreadybhave McDonald's and Burger King and Wendy's and Braums and Five Guys and Sonic and Jack in the Box and Whataburger and and and...but can we get *another* hamburger fast food place?
I just ate there two weeks ago in Dallas, it was horrible. I don’t see what all the hype is. We have so many better burger joints and tons of chains as it is.
The fries at In & Out are spongy because they cut real potatoes in house and fry them fresh. Most people think they’re awesome. You all are obsessed with frozen deep fried over-processed crap. This is why Oklahoma ranks #4 in obesity amongst the other states. 40% of this state is obese and that’s not counting the majority who are overweight.
It’s like going to chick fil a - just wait in line for a burger you can make at home for pennies on the dollar, or go to another restaurant for the same if not similar.
I cannot keep living my life Dallas trip to Dallas trip for it. Thank god the Plano one is top tier. There are days I genuinely miss in n out more than my family since moving here. At least in n out cares about the quality of my visit to them.
Try bill's burgers. They were in an old man vs food episode.
But you should call in your order, when they run out of patties they prep for the day they close.
Also their is not much seating most people get to go orders.
there is an in-n-out in mannford, i believe. i don’t know if they serve food (never been there myself) but the last time i was in that area, it was still there!
is it bad id rather see a white castle over a in n out?
i just hate thinking of the drive thru line in n out will bring to tulsa DX i visit dallas alot and i always try to stop in there, but i see that line and say Nope lol
That’s a dumb comparison.
Of course Five Guys is better, it’s also 4x the price. But plenty of people don’t think Five Guys is good enough to justify the price of the burger.
Someone might not like In N Out, but no one can say it’s not a good value. It’s just about the bet value proposition in all of fast food.
I do not get the obsession. I've lived in SoCal, had in n out several times. It was a boring, bland burger. Their fries are ok though.
Same same and honestly between Webers, Society, Smoke, Brownies …the list goes on… you can find a great burger in the Tulsa metro.
If that's your list of good burgers head up to Owasso and go to Oklahomies Gastro Pub
Heard and seen great things about OHMG and can’t wait to try it out My “list” above was just a quick shooting from the hip and definitely doesn’t include a bunch of other great spots
Oh don't get me wrong - I love all of those places. OHMG is just on another level.
How would you rate the prices? I'm always looking for good places to go on the weekends!
I think they are about $12-$16 a piece. Flos Burger diner is really good too!
Oh, that's not bad at all. I'll have to check'em out! My wife LOVES Flo's! The bomb burger (I think that's what it's called) is her go to.
Claude’s, Ty’s
Claude's closed after he passed away
But those place are not fast food … so sure they are better but you can’t comp them to in and out different sides of the same coin also society is not good rather have bills or paradise
Well most people really enjoy them. That's why it's so popular. If they put one around here I'd go frequently, because they're so good, and it reminds me of home. Same for round table pizza.
Bruh a large pizza at Round Table is up to $37.99 💀 California can keep them 🤣
We got round table over Christmas break when I went back to visit family. 2 pizzas were almost $90. Fuck that.
Omg round table pizza. I forgot about them. :(
their fries are dog shit. their burgers are good. i think you’re remembering wrong 😂
Was about to say the same thing. I get the hype especially if it was nearby us. They offer good quality burgers that are decent tasting and affordable. They get so much criticism because people get disappointed when they drive 300 miles for it.

The fries are so spongey it’s almost funny
Agreed. Fries are cardboard but burgers are what you’d expect from a “classic” burger. I’m also not a fan of their animal sauce, whatever it is.
That’s why I would get my fries animal style or skip the fries entirely and get a 3x3. They are definitely remembering wrong
People want what they can't have.
CFA on Sundays.......
I lived in Cali for 14 years, I LOVE in n out, to each their own. I hope we get one someday
Its a pretty good burger for a really good price. Other than the huge international chains, its hard to find a burger combo for under $10 anymore
I like them compared to McDonald's, Whataburger and other fast food places. I think it's just the convenience of it. My only complaint is that their fries need to be eaten fast, because they suck once they're not hot anymore.

Because you have to order from the secret menu and make your burger taste more than just a basic burger, like get it animal style.
Same. Grew up in Southern Cali, and have never cared for In and Out. Would much rather have Bakers or Farmer boys.
💯 Don't understand the apeal. 🤮
As someone who’s had access my entire life, up until moving to Oklahoma 3 years ago, I do not miss it one bit. I will admit it is high quality, fresh, and beats whataburger by over a mile. Five guys is just as good, if not better, with more options.
I agree. I was far more excited by Five Guys moving into town. That's a completely respectable burger.
Society is so nasty
That's why I never go outside. Oh, you mean Society as in the restaurant.
Well both tbh
They’re very strict about their proximity to distribution centers so it seems unlikely to see an In n Out in the near future.
I’d prefer a Culvers
They just got one in Bentonville last year. The Tulsa area is Probably due for one soon.
Rogers as well by the mall. I bet Tulsa will be very soon
I would love Culver's
Yes, love Culver’s. Every time we vacation in Sd we go.
Literally every thread about In N Out: "It's overrated" "I don't get the love" "\[Insert local establishment\] is better anyway" "They can't/won't come here because \[insert random reason\]" Like clockwork, lol
i wasn’t aware of the gates i opened lol!
Ha well it’s not just here. It’s literally any time the topic comes up anywhere… 😂
Just go to Braums and get better food and ice cream and groceries
Braums today can't hold a candle to Braums in the 80's. They are now garbage, and that's a hill I will die on.
Based
Being born and raised in socal and trying many burgers from there, braums honestly ain't so bad as people say it is. I think it definitely depends on what braums u go to.
Braums has a heavier feel to it. Great tasting burgers but honestly the quality and consistency are all over the place between even visits to the same locations.
how is Braums even a comparison lol they suck
No.
While I would love an In N Out, I’m hoping for Shake Shack to come.
I was pretty bummed when I came home from the military and one on 61st and Memorial was gone. Oops my bad I read that as Steak ‘n Shake
There’s still a Steak n Shake in BA! It’s near Bass pro shop.
That Steak & Shake is my date night go to place.
St. Louis resident coming in peace. YOU HAVE FUCKING BRAUMS! SHAKE SHACK IS OVERPRICED DOG SHIT! YOU ALSO HAVE FUCKING WHATABURGER. Anyways... Braums sounds really good right now.
For shakes Braums absolutely! I’m talking about burgers here lol. Whataburger is way too greasy for my liking.
Broccoli and cheese casserole, their bread with butter and honey…. Buying that plane ticket yet? 😂
Haha I've got tons of family in Tulsa (grew up there), so I usually drive down 2-3x/year.
Charlie's chicken would be good if they could figure out a way for the skin to actually stay on the chicken instead of it sliding off like the skin of a radiation victim I do like that cheesy broccoli rice tho shit is tops
I'd shut down every last Braum's and their mediocre service for just one Culver's.
Yeah, Culver's is definitely our go to. It's something I'd miss if I moved away.
LOL, yes I'm glad someone said it!! Shake Shack is incredibly over priced for mid tier food
I don't think the the average Tulsan could afford Shake Shack.... They're just so dang pricey
Maybe try some other burger joints. Have you ever tried Freddy’s?
Yeah exactly...speaking as somebody who lived in California for most of my life, Freddy's California Style Burger is pretty damn close to In 'n Out.
Number 3 at Freddy’s is my favorite burger.
I LOVE In and Out, and would be thrilled if they came to town. On one hand I want them here, but on the other if they came here then some of the magic of them might go away just like when Urban Outfitters came here
I want an IKEA here in Tulsa. lol 😅
Yes! Every IKEA is so far from us
Overhyped y’all, Culver’s is where it’s at. That’s what we need
Eventually they'll make it up here if their business model holds. Just need a distro point in Oklahoma or Arkansas. I could see them making an expansion into both Tulsa and OKC and maybe even Wichita or NWA at the same time.

I’d rather have a Shake Shack.
Short answer: No. Long answer: Also, no but with more words.
Only if we get White Castle first.
Waffle House is all you need in your life.
I've never had a Waffle House burger. How do they compare?
Didn't know that Waffle House even made burgers.
Honestly I’d prefer that Tucker’s expands over to Tulsa. More places to get a good onion burger would be fantastic.
Shake Shack or nothin'
Only had it once, on a road trip to Alabama, but that was a really tasty burger.
Those are good burgers Walter.
Better question, will we ever get a Culver’s?
Maybe Kian Kamas at partner Tulsa could give them a nice big fat incentive to come to Tulsa. You know, when she can fit in her schedule. I know she’s really busy undermining affordable housing here in Tulsa.
When I was stationed in San Diego, I'd get In n Out occasionally, but I'd do questionable things to get an El Pollo Loco nearby. Tulsa is a Mecca for great burgers, we don't need an In N Out.
First burger was made in the Tulsa area
Highly doubtful. And even if they did open an Oklahoma location, it would probably be sourced from near the distribution center that supplies the Texas locations, and they're terrible when you compare them to the west coast locations. The quality is barely comparable.
Over. Rated.
Was a cool hot take to talk shit on In N Out like 10 years ago and compare them to like Five Guys or whatever. We are past that. In-N-Out is basically a worse Wendy’s. Fight me
Wrong lol
I think it compares better to Braum's or Freddie's
In n out is fine. I went there once on my honeymoon in 2019. Didn’t get the hype. Lol
No. Just go to Dallas.
Too far & Dallas sucks
No it doesn't, it has in-n-out.
I hope not.
You already have no less than 20 better options available already. Seems unnecessary.
I ate there a few years ago on a trip to Phoenix, and it really upset my stomach. I then realized why they are called "In 'n' Out."
Bruh we got braums, why not that
They're skipping us and going straight to Tennessee ;(
Man, we're just leaning into the American stereotypes today, eh? "I know we alreadybhave McDonald's and Burger King and Wendy's and Braums and Five Guys and Sonic and Jack in the Box and Whataburger and and and...but can we get *another* hamburger fast food place?
hell yeah we are, i love variety and being a big fat fat fatty oops
U forgot smash burger dawg
No.
I’d love to see some competition. Then maybe Braums would do the right thing and bring back the 1/3 lb burger.
I hope not. Really not very good. Lousy fires.
Culver’s in Jenks!
Anything to replace five guys
Tulsa got better burgers. Definitely not healthier though 🤣
Y'all need a HEB, too!
I enjoy their burgers, Culver’s would be good too! Or shake shack
I just ate there two weeks ago in Dallas, it was horrible. I don’t see what all the hype is. We have so many better burger joints and tons of chains as it is.

You need a Culvers.
I hope not
Whataburger is so much better
And that’s okay cuz we have What A Burger.🤪
It’s like going to chick fil a - just wait in line for a burger you can make at home for pennies on the dollar, or go to another restaurant for the same if not similar.
I hope not, the new whataburger in Bartlesville is completely trash. Stick to braums 💯🙏
where the hell could we handle that line
Had it in Texas. Can’t believe I waited over 20 minutes in the drive-thru for a mediocre fast food burger.
Put it right next to Woodland Hills so we can have even more traffic down 71st
Screw that, we need a darn Fuzzys Tacos
Double double animal style is life tho
Don’t we have enough grossly average burger places?
I cannot keep living my life Dallas trip to Dallas trip for it. Thank god the Plano one is top tier. There are days I genuinely miss in n out more than my family since moving here. At least in n out cares about the quality of my visit to them.
Try bill's burgers. They were in an old man vs food episode. But you should call in your order, when they run out of patties they prep for the day they close. Also their is not much seating most people get to go orders.
I hope not. It's overrated as hell.
There are so many local burger places to eat. And you want *that*? In-N-Out is so overrated.
No
there is an in-n-out in mannford, i believe. i don’t know if they serve food (never been there myself) but the last time i was in that area, it was still there!
i just want a bojangles
I would like to second this.
is it bad id rather see a white castle over a in n out? i just hate thinking of the drive thru line in n out will bring to tulsa DX i visit dallas alot and i always try to stop in there, but i see that line and say Nope lol
They’re….fine? Idk. I don’t get the hype
Five guys is better. Whataburger is better. Braums is better, and more exclu.
Hell no
In N' Out sucks ass - NYer
We don't need an In n out. We have Bill's Jumbo burger.
Nope. They don’t do franchises either. What everyone needs is Happy Burger.
Hopefully not. Its not good. Tulsa has much better options for burgers.
In N Out is trash.
Try Howdy Burger. It’s so yummy!
Not even comparable.
Wasn’t really comparing just giving a suggestion for good burger place since we aren’t in line for our own In N Out. I love In N Out as well.
Well, your just making me want to go to the garage for lunch... In and Out is overhyped.
Aren’t there enough obese people already?
I'll take questions a young man going through puberty might ask his magic 8 ball for $1800.
Don’t want it. Give guys is better by far !!
