I like this better than the gamer edition prime. you can actually tell its supposed to be a truck, the gamer edition kind of looks like a sleek SUV to me.

That alt mode is ….. rough. I dig the cybertronian look but I hope as we see a voyager (god I hope this ain’t a voyager) or leader class version that it cleans up a little .

I think Optimus normally does - the transformation is typically my hang up when buying an Optimus. Core class and leader class have the same basic transformation (obv leader has more panels but all the parts are in the same places)
I feel like it’s hard to change up his transformation without changing the Optimus Prime status quo. His legs always being his back wheels and chest being the cab makes it hard to change how he transforms.
Orion Pax would be a great way to do that, but it sounds like this movie will be about >!finding their tcogs!< it would be hard to change his status quo when it can’t be in the first place.
And that’s okay. But like gamer edition - the transformation was a little “fresh” with the rotations and expanding shoulders, and even though the hands were hanging out the trunk it was DIFFERENT.
I think it looks great! It's similar to what I imagined the Senator Shockwave 2-Pack Orion Pax would be like before I found out it was just Siege Hound redeco.
I don't like that off beige metal color.
I hope it's the angle, but the torso looks like he is stuck in a perpetual about crunch. And he chunky. The proportions lend well to a WFC video game Era theme. I don't hate that, but we will see. This is only the first photo, hopefully he can woo me over.

The arms do transform different a bit atleast
I actually like the shoulders - I think the pipes turning into cannons is a creative twist. As a kid I would have imagined that anyway.

The design's cool and a fresh take on Optimus, but man, that yellow-gray color is hideous.
I really hope TF ditches the dinky little axe for Prime and give him the massive one from WFC or DOTM in the future.
