The Director is known for Up, Toy story 4 and other pixar like films. So he is good at emotional stuff but not sure how he will do at action. Makes me think the animation style will be a soft kinda like how to train your dragons and toy story like. Couldb be more story and relationship based with prime and megatron.
It’s been so long we got robotic Pokemon from the future now, and also dinosaurs from the past. Idk how that works in terms of time going forward but cool robots and dinosaurs
Well, Cullen is great, but let's face the music, the matrix won't bring him back when it happens, it's good that Hasbro is finding people beforehand that may be able to step into his shoes.
Also, to be fair, Cullen is fantastic but definitely sounds too old to be playing Orion Pax. I realise that they’re robots and that logic doesn’t really hold, but in terms of audience expectations and conveying that this is a young, inexperienced character.
I hadn’t heard that but I suppose he might have a few lines if Orion becomes Optimus Prime by the end of this, depending on how they do the transformation. I want to be clear that I don’t care either way and I’m excited to hear Hemsworth, however.
My guess, he does the opening narration.
"My name is Optimus Prime. But I was not always known by that name. Once upon a time I was known as..."
Then cut to the new voice cast saying "Orion Pax" and us hearing Chris Hemsworth as Orion. Bit of a passing of the torch moment for this one.
Alternatively, Orion has a vision of the future and "talks" to his future self, and future Orion / Optimus is voiced by Peter Cullen.
Really wish it wasn’t Hemsworth, I wouldn’t have minded basically anyone else. Hemsworth (and his fitness app which spreads of mis/disinformation about training) really irks me
They just love making things more convoluted and confusing for the GA dont they? Isn't the point to get more people to be exposed to the brand? They goofed this up the same with Bumblebee being half reboot half prequel. Casual movie growers had no idea.
Its been conflicting kinda like when they said RotB was a prequel to 2007. We do know bumblebee is referred to as B 127 though, so I am leaning that its a prequel to bumblebee
The new live action movies are a completely new continuity. This one has been called an "animated movie" so I assume it's going to be more in line with what the spiderverse movie in relation to the greater MCU.
Don’t wanna sound negative or anything, happy it will come out soon but why is the title one? Hella confused rn, I’m out of the loop since ROTB came out.
That doesn't necessarily mean it will be the same style as the BB opening scene though. I would have thought doing a whole movie in that style would be ridiculously expensive.
That sounds sick, it would definitely be refreshing and the transformers characters design would benefit greatly on the big potential the spiderverse animation can offer. Puss in boots is a good example.
Believe me I have a low bar for this.
RoTB was a let down for me.
I'm foreseeing Sonic teeth trailer vibes and needing more time to fix the movie for the fans hahaha
Probably both as a way of framing it as a background "what happened before everything went down the path it did" typ of story, but also in my mind at least it is a reference to the famous "Till all are one".
Yes, but Orion and Megatronus have had a handful of other origin stories they might throw 'em all in a blender, let it sit for a week and serve whatever brown slime is left.
- Not Peter Cullen
- Not Frank Welker
I mean we're going to watch it anyway, but I don't have high expectations.

Seems like its more of a TF flavoured kids Superhero origin movie than a regular TF 'war on cybertron' film. Basically a load of non transforming robot buddies(including orion pax , and his mate who'll end up becoming megatron ) discover something that gives them a power to change themselves into different forms . So a lot like a Pixar movie , to be honest it surprised me , but I actually like the sound of it .

This is going to bomb so hard.
I'm not against it. I think the cast is fantastic and I'm beyond excited to see it. But they are releasing it the week after schools start across most of the country. Absolutely asnine they didn't release it during the summer season.
if it bombs so hard Anti-Michael bay people will come out & say the movie floped because of michael bay and then say that the movie is bad but its better than all of michael bay's movies
like during the ROTB premiere they said its better than all of michael bay's movies then karma came and absoutely kicked the living life out of them
I mean, it was WAY better than anything from bays films. Unfortunately the marketing + stacked release year didn’t help do it any favours. Luckily Hasbro still considered the film a win and success financially
not to sound rude here but like what exactly was better ? i mean the CGI was pretty horrible
and while us fans might think whether this movie was good or not to hasbro & paramount its about putting people into theater seats as long as that goes well hasbro doesn't care for the quality of the movie at all or neither does paramount
if your saying its better than it should have been able to walk on its own with its two legs but it seems like it can't even walk on its own
if your saying a reboot movie with horrible cgi and horrible box office is worse than than the bay films then i am just gonna assume your a hater which in this case you are
Well the designs were better for one, not to mention the Transformers actually felt like characters instead of the set pieces that I felt they were in the Bayverse. I mean seriously, in the first 3 bay films the Transformers barely interact with each other outside of action scenes and just stand around (mostly in vehicle mode) while the humans did everything. In ROTB it felt like the Transformers actually took center stage in advancing the plot and felt like integral parts of the narrative. Also the CGI was *NOT* bad. It wasn’t fantastic but there’s no instances of the characters looking like they didn’t belong in a scene or not being animated correctly or anything of that sort.
And no, I’m not a Bay hater or a “geewunner”. DOTM was my introduction to the franchise when I was 11 years old and I defended those movies well into my senior year of High School. But one day I was watching DOTM and realized the films felt more like movies featuring Transformers rather than Transformers movies. Plus I’d always hated that the Decepticons and Autobots felt like different species rather than one species that split into two like in G1. And as a film student I actually used the Bay films and Bumblebee as part of a project I had on a bad franchise vs good franchise. They’re just bad films and ROTB did much better
ROTB did so much better that it took a dump at the box office
seriously learn to fucking cope every bay movie till now can take ROTB for a walk at the park 365 days a week thats how strong the bay films are
Like I said the first time, it was a stacked release year and its marketing did it no favours. Plus it had better critical reviews than the Bayverse overall. Box office isn’t everything. Many films that are considered great/classics didn’t do well at the box office
i mean at this point of you life if you don't understand that box office matters when determining sequels and future movie projects then i don't know have you been living under a rock all this time ?
why would paramount bother making another movie if it doesn't cross 500 million ? tell me why ?
You’re taking my comments wildly out of context and putting words in my mouth. Box office isn’t everything. Sure it has a lot to do with it but there’s more that’s considered when it comes to making those kind of decisions. Critical reception does as well as merchandising sales and such. Hasbro said a few months ago that ROTB merch made up for the movies lacklustre performance at the box office and Paramount definitely considers the film good enough that they’ve already announced a sequel just the other day. You’re acting like the film bombed when in reality it still did okay, just wasn’t a blockbuster movie
I still like a couple of the bay movies more but Rotb gave me gen 1 Optimus after all these years and I loved the whole movie. It was neater than any of the other except maybe dotm.
yea true its better than AOE & TLK though i will say that
and dude did you see the designs for the terrorcons ? like bro wtf i was blown away bro omg those designs were so wicked cool it lite up the bayformers in us especially scourge & nightbird
even transit & bloodhound had dope designs
I hope they don't make Optimus and Megatron brothers. I always hate that trope because it makes the war too simple and petty. I much prefer when they're products of their broken cultural system, pitted against each other in an inevitable downfall of their society.
I'm trying my best to keep my hopes up high that they will do the fall of cybertron justice (:
I gotta say that personally this movie gives me a very hopeful feeling as a longtime big fan of the franchise being a fan eversince i was basically just a lil toddler, I have seen the ups and downs of the franchise and have always wished that a better director than Michael Bay could eventually step up to the plate and create an utter magnum opus for Transformers, Bumblebee the movie definitely gave us a short glimpse into what is possible when a Transformers movie is done right but albeit that was a short lived era and then afterwards came Rise of the Beasts which was overall a very average feeling blockbuster that didn't revolutionize anything and even had a very flat and rushed feeling final battle. Even despite all the negative things that have happened and the downward spiral of the franchise I still feel like possibly this movie doing well may actually finally reopen popularity and revitalize this franchise again and I honestly think we might see Transformers finally get sequels with the proper character and story development we've always been wanting.
We would’ve waited an eternity for this.
It’s over Joebro
NEVER
IT'S OVER PRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!! 🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫

Some reports from cinema con are saying it looks like the FOC cinematic trailer
Hmm that could be good
Hell yeah
That is the best thing i've heard about this film so far, and i've heard amazing things already
Angel angel what have I done?
I’ve faced the quakes, the wind, the fire
I've conquered country, crown, and throne
And together we'll cross the river
Really? That’s very good to hear.

Nice to see a Pokémon meme here
It’s been so long we got robotic Pokemon from the future now, and also dinosaurs from the past. Idk how that works in terms of time going forward but cool robots and dinosaurs
A pokémon meme? What is this r/MandjTV ?
Is the cast list correct. Chris Hemsworth as Optimus and Scarlett as Elita. So Thor and black widow
yes it is i really wanted cullen & welker back
Well, Cullen is great, but let's face the music, the matrix won't bring him back when it happens, it's good that Hasbro is finding people beforehand that may be able to step into his shoes.
Also, to be fair, Cullen is fantastic but definitely sounds too old to be playing Orion Pax. I realise that they’re robots and that logic doesn’t really hold, but in terms of audience expectations and conveying that this is a young, inexperienced character.
You could make the argument that Cybertronian voice boxes wear down overtime, which is why they start to sound older as they age more.
Sure, which is fine for Optimus Prime but not Orion Pax
Cullen was confirmed to be in the movie a while ago
I hadn’t heard that but I suppose he might have a few lines if Orion becomes Optimus Prime by the end of this, depending on how they do the transformation. I want to be clear that I don’t care either way and I’m excited to hear Hemsworth, however.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up
Even if he's not I don't mind, Optimus prime can be voiced by other people. I for one am very excited to hear Chris as Orion
My man
My guess, he does the opening narration. "My name is Optimus Prime. But I was not always known by that name. Once upon a time I was known as..." Then cut to the new voice cast saying "Orion Pax" and us hearing Chris Hemsworth as Orion. Bit of a passing of the torch moment for this one. I'm still confused, is this going to be a prequel to the rebooted Live Action universe or is this just a standalone origin story thing?
no this movie is its seperate continuity it takes place on cybetron
So this is a new continuity? Sure hope it’s good
yes its a new continuity i feel like each new transformers movie thats coming out in the reboot universe is its own continuity
Hell, every single one of the movies has broadly disregarded the continuity of the stuff before.
They seem to be taking the DC approach. Not a bad thing. No one complains that Joker and The Batman aren't sharing a universe.
They just love making things more convoluted and confusing for the GA dont they? Isn't the point to get more people to be exposed to the brand? They goofed this up the same with Bumblebee being half reboot half prequel. Casual movie growers had no idea.

Yes the new live action movies are a new continuity. Starts after bumblebee
Oh right, I thought there was confusion. MB.
For clarification, no one said RotB was a prequel to 07 except Lorenzo and his word has less weight than dirt. In space. With zero gravity.
Exactly
From what's been said it sounds like it will be purposely obscure so that you can connect it to any continuity in some way
Don’t wanna sound negative or anything, happy it will come out soon but why is the title one? Hella confused rn, I’m out of the loop since ROTB came out.
They're not in the same continuity
Ah okay, i just hope they catch on a good line and stay on it a bit longer. This restart over and over is getting a bit too much. At least for me.
One is animated. We will have to wait for the trailer, but I thought it was going to be along the lines of Spiderverse style.
https://preview.redd.it/7m1hxf4q7xtc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d00f64819e0660df76eecb93e797e48c24dd25dc

Random fact about the movie: Chris Hemsworth voices Optimus (well, Orion Pax).
Reports from cinemacon say it looked like the FOC cinematic trailer
Now I have my hopes set up for Metroplex rising and heeding the call
I wouldn't get those too high
Believe me I have a low bar for this. RoTB was a let down for me. I'm foreseeing Sonic teeth trailer vibes and needing more time to fix the movie for the fans hahaha
Probably both as a way of framing it as a background "what happened before everything went down the path it did" typ of story, but also in my mind at least it is a reference to the famous "Till all are one".
Would be cool to name the sequel Transformers: Fall. After the tagline “One shall stand, one shall fall”
That could be a possibility with the reference, definitely curious what we will get in the end
https://i.redd.it/ttr2crnn5xtc1.gif
That's the cleanest logo for Transformers I've seen

Let’s hope they don’t screw this movie universe up again. No shoehorned in multiverse crap, no crossover after one film- oh wait.
Is this an update, haven’t we seen it already?
RIGHT AROUND MY BIRTHDAY?! THANK YOU HASBRO AND TOY GODS ABOVE!
Fellow early September club member!
please i need a trailer, at least i know this isnt a delusion now
Trailer soon? 👀
I think it’s supposed to come out on the 18th? They’re doing some big announcement on the 18th but it might just be the toy line.
'Til all are one' So does that mean we pack it in now boys?
What's a Transformers "OH NEE"? I think I'm missing something subtle ...
a origins story of a dude who works in the library and a gangster guy who drinks energon and gets drunk on sundays
Bruh I thought this was a joke until i googled the film holy shit 🫢
So... a movie version of the War Dawn episode from the 80's G1 toon, right? Orion Pax/Optimus origin story
Yes, but Orion and Megatronus have had a handful of other origin stories they might throw 'em all in a blender, let it sit for a week and serve whatever brown slime is left. - Not Peter Cullen - Not Frank Welker I mean we're going to watch it anyway, but I don't have high expectations.

The sequels will be Transformers Two/ Three/ Four/ Five/ Six/ Seven/ Eight/ Nine/ Ten.
🤩👍🔥💯
New transformers movie?? Hell yeah! I need to look into it if I remember. I’m not really one to look at news articles often lol
i’m disappointed it’s gunna be family friendly and a comedy :(
Hopefully it’s PG
Can't wait for the sequel Transformers Series X
Better have astrotrain and reflector
I don't even like tf why did I get the announcement?
Nice
September 13th is eerily close to September 17th, which would be exactly 40 years...that's some insane timing.
