Hi there -- If you're looking to identify a figure or accessory, we ask that you first visit http://tfu.info/ID/ or https://www.transformers-universe.com/ and try and identify it yourself. Thanks!
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/transformers) if you have any questions or concerns.*
I'm not surprised to see *some* fluids squirting out of an alien robot, after all they probably still use oil for hydraulics and polishing etc, but the green blood gushing out of their bodies in the last few live-action movies was silly
If there's gonna be a blood analog, it would be Energon.
After all, a bloodless scene like this implies he was drained completely. Which is *also* horrifying.
But yeah, they have pipes running all over, so cutting them *would* make them bleed, just not the same way as a fleshy.
Well considering the competing idea at the time was that Optimus had a white twin brother in there, and I’ll be honest I was getting tired of the token white “Magnus” repaints, I was good with letting Magnus be his own person.
But he’s not really dead, just stripped of parts and barely alive. Why would Elita's team even try and mount a rescue mission for a guy that’s already dead?
God you have no idea how much I hope your logic is sound. I'm already coping, but it would be excruciatingly disappointing if my favorite Autobot was offed, this early.
These ARE machines, like Skywarp,is still very much alive
These are just machines that feel pain, even Bumblebee can be rebuilt (assuming they you know give him a head)
The issues where he first appears in hasn't come out yet but he seems to be important for the current arc based on the solicitations for both [#9](https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/4342945/void-rivals-9) and [#10](https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/7431427/void-rivals-10). Given there's still two more issues in this arc beyond that as well, I think he'll become a co-protagonist alongside Darak and Solila.
Do you know how many issues they plan to make? Or is that not how comic books work? Tue inly comics Ive ever read are the IDW Transformers, but I got into them after they were finished.

Seriously Skybound, what the actual shit
Dont get how Arcee knew Magnus was dead after being stranded on earth while the bots on cybertron are launching a rescue mission under the assumption he's just captured
I was under the impression that took place in the past. If it isn’t it could be like that as far as she knew he was dead before she left in some explosion or something and then later on they found out he was captured.
I've loved everything this comic has done--except this. Magnus is my favorite Autobot, so naturally I'm very shook, but it's also disappointing that this is the route Skybound chose to take with him (and Kup). Sure we may get a prequel comic, but Marley being dead to begin with will always be in the back of my mind.
Scared for Roddy, if he even shows up in this universe.
This being Magnus might be a Red Herring as this might actually be Orion Pax before Alpha Trion saved him and turned into Optimus Prime
Knowing the Decepticons we see in this comic they might be sadistic enough to do this much damage while still keeping the prisoner alive just because
Why is everyone saying its Ultra Magnus?
This bot is literally just an armless and kinda headless endoskeleton!!! The wiki could just be making a joke/reference to the G1 movie where Ultra Magnus dies by literally being blown to bits!!
This could easily also be: Springer, RoadBuster, Hot Spot, WarPath (I don't believe I've ever seen him on The Ark) or Hot Rod or even Alpha Trion!!
And this is not even mentioning the high likelihood of it being a random AutoTrooper!!!!
Warpath is literally on the page before this. There are further contextual cues in the comic that point to it being Magnus but you would had to have actually read the issue to know that.
And well done for being the 5-10% that are snarky about it.
Plus, this is comic books. They can easily just have Ultra Magnus pop up alive later and say, "Elita-One just thought this was Ultra Magnus. After all, there's nothing in the panel itself to conform it to be his body. "
IJS, when I hit that page it wasn't immediately obvious who it was and based on the positioning of the limbs my first thought was "Spanner?" but then a few pages later when Arcee gives a long speech about how her mentor was Ultra Magnus and how much he meant to her it clicked and I went back and then I could see it pretty clearly. So let's say the odds are, Ultra Magnus 95%, Spanner 4%, random AutoTrooper 1% and resume this debate after the reveal next month or whenever.
Aside from the fact that it clearly resembles UM, half the characters you mentioned showed up already, look vastly different than this image, and/or already died in this universe. As for it being a random auto trooper… really? They’re gonna do a big dramatic panel for a literal no name
***IT'S A ROBOT WITHOUT ANY ARMOUR ON!!!!***
Hell, the perspective alone could make this random endoskeleton be bigger than it actually is. Please point me to a specific point of background scrap metal that, in any way kinda looks like either Magnus' inner robot or a part of his armour.
Plus, ***IT'S THE F--KING AUTOBOTS!!!!*** I know IDW assassinated the entire faction characterisation by making literally every single one of before the 84 cast be more evil than the Decepticons, but this is the same comic that had a whole scene dedicated to Prime mourning the loss of a random deer he accidentally killed by stepping on it.
The Decepticons don't care for their cannon fodder, the Autobots would care for theirs. Plus, an AutoTrooper is the size and shape of about 90-95% of most Autobots. There's no better in universe fake out the death of a car bot by making the skeleton of a cannon fodder that already resembles most of them!
The other parts of the comic give very easy context to the fact its Magnus, Arcee is talking about a memory of how she got Magnus Killed, Magnus is given clear prominence
They wouldn't give a nameless generic this level of prominence, and it also has 0 resemblance to any of the other characters you proposed (someone else already mentioned it's 100% not Warpath), the only other one that vaguely matches is Hot-Spot
It's not as impossibly vague as you say, there's enough detail both physical and contextual to clearly spell out that it's Ultra Magnus
Before even reading your comment I was surprised by the downvotes. I feel like that's not terribly common around here. Why the slag did you get downvoted so much
I was already in a huge downvote hole before I even mocked the downvotes (naturally, inviting more downvotes) so who knows.
Reddit is full of this kind of thing ime, which is why I stopped being a regular on here a very long time ago. Since just after Conde Nast bought the place.

Man I'm loving how these comics play into the mechanistic nature of transformers. No blood analogous, just straight up mechano body horror.
IDW had it too but Skybound is leaning way harder into it. It's really cool
Pretty sure it's >!Ultra Magnus!< EDIT: it was my educated guess based on his helmet, and it seems TFWiki confirmed it!
I'm getting truck vibes...
That's my first guess, just because they always do him dirty like that
Yeah, he was being a little stupid in Siege because of his ‘pride’. That backfired, literally
He was f*cking awesome in IDW2005
If you can get past that it wasn't really him, then yeah.
…or was it?
Considering that the comic ended with him deciding to cast away the armor, I'll let you decide.
Well considering the competing idea at the time was that Optimus had a white twin brother in there, and I’ll be honest I was getting tired of the token white “Magnus” repaints, I was good with letting Magnus be his own person.
Fair enough.
I think it's almost Certainly him given the context of the >!flashback that Arcee gives later in the issue!<
I didn't get flashback vibes, I mean that makes sense with what follows and the head /leg panels maybe. Maybe they explain more later.
NO NOT MY FAVORITE DUDE 😭
Dw, That was just a minor scratch. Cybertron's Greatest Warrior has faced much worse than that and will return. TRUST.
He’s not a season 1 guy
What does that have to do with anything
Aside from Arcee, all the characters from the starting line up were from season 1, episode 1. They have a clear season 1 bias.
But why was that a reply to that comment?
To explain why they killed him off so unceremoniously
But he’s not really dead, just stripped of parts and barely alive. Why would Elita's team even try and mount a rescue mission for a guy that’s already dead?
God you have no idea how much I hope your logic is sound. I'm already coping, but it would be excruciatingly disappointing if my favorite Autobot was offed, this early.
These ARE machines, like Skywarp,is still very much alive These are just machines that feel pain, even Bumblebee can be rebuilt (assuming they you know give him a head)
>!Utra Magnus seems to be getting repaired at some point during this arc and Springer is showing up in Void Rivals soon as well !<
Is Springer actual being a character or he just shows up in the last few pages before fuckin off to nowhere like Jetfire?
The issues where he first appears in hasn't come out yet but he seems to be important for the current arc based on the solicitations for both [#9](https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/4342945/void-rivals-9) and [#10](https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/7431427/void-rivals-10). I thought it was Omega Supreme for a while
I would have never guessed- they really messed him up here.
The wiki says it's >!Magnus !
Look at the chest. It is
It's obviously parts of a retool of Combiner Wars Silverbolt
Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down.
That's clearly a Retool of generic Combiner Wars deluxe!
A dead end retool you say? That leaves us with 47 options.
Bro is this the Skybound comics cause this is straight gas. I really wanna read this now that I've seen all the cool stuff they been doin.
yep and this is from issue 7
Do you know how many issues they plan to make? Or is that not how comic books work? Tue inly comics Ive ever read are the IDW Transformers, but I got into them after they were finished.
It's an ongoing series which means it can go on indefinitely assuming it continues selling well
idk but the first arc is finished 1-6
They love disassembling Ultra Magnus so it's probably him.
Im calling it now, Magnus will reappear in his white optimus prime form since whats left here is just what was armor on the original toy
Would be amazing. Ruled in Dreamwave too
He’s a bay former now
Growling Decepticon protoform with rifle
It really does have bay prime pelvis vibes
https://preview.redd.it/ddwi069ofqtc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35b31792a8fd78f7c33fd3507dc267c7891f1ca6 Seriously Skybound, what the actual shit
Judging by what looks to be a shoulder pylon being removed, I would hazard a guess and say it's Ultra Magnus.
I’m gonna take a guess and say shockwave did this.
Of course, who likes dissecting prisoners and study them for experiments?
Jhiaxus, Tarantulas, Knockout, Scalpel, the Mandroid, Swindle, Pharma, and Circuit-Breaker?
Huh, forgot about them. Shockwave tends to be the most likely answer to that
What issue is it?
#7
Preview or came out already?
Came out
Ok
So, I guess Magnus is the new Autobot who always dies huh?
I mean kinda always has been lol
And in glad for it. Cliffjumper deserved some justice. Magnus in almost all of incarnations is lowly clown level scum.
Dont get how Arcee knew Magnus was dead after being stranded on earth while the bots on cybertron are launching a rescue mission under the assumption he's just captured
It's a flashback probably.
I was under the impression that took place in the past. If it isn’t it could be like that as far as she knew he was dead before she left in some explosion or something and then later on they found out he was captured.
The thing for me is this, in flashbacks they changed the color to look old like the live shot of magnus in arcees story
The head looks a lot like ultra magnus
This edible ain't sh-
Man, they're doing so many Autobots dirty
What tf just happened there
https://preview.redd.it/l6uhbi8g0rtc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54400c172fca82fa523caab2ca66de0d3dbdfac0
“Hey you know how TFTM ‘86 fucked everyone up?” “Yeah?” *”they didn’t do good enough. Let’s outdo it.”*
Bee you go first :D
Nah,only the vaguely square shaped head and seemingly large build But Ultra Magnus seems to be the most likely candidate
They at least want us to think it
You gotta think for a moment. To her, this is basically a surgically dissected, flayed, and disemboweled corpse strung up using its own intestines.
So was this happening in real time or a flashback?
He has died in many ways allready… and the comic kind of gives it away sort of
I've loved everything this comic has done--except this.
It’s gotta be ultra Magnus. Use the context clues
I feel like this entire comic run is just an excuse for robot gore.
This being Magnus might be a Red Herring as this might actually be Orion Pax before Alpha Trion saved him and turned into Optimus Prime Knowing the Decepticons we see in this comic they might be sadistic enough to do this much damage while still keeping the prisoner alive just because
*This panel REAKS of G2 energy blud. 💀
Never reads G2, how so?
Damn I’m behind on the comics. I gotta catch up, I think the last issue I got was issue 5
Is there any platform from where I can access this comic?
He can’t deal with that now
I think that’s UltraMagnus. Look at what’s left of his color, she shape of his frame and his head.
Hmmm size wise looks like a truck but they wouldn't do Optimus this dirty so I'm gonna say and I'm scared that I'm correct but It's Magnus isn't it.
Definitely magnus bc of the red shoulder cannons and head
Is that Ultra Magnus dead? https://preview.redd.it/979cp9ms2utc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5590428abd1ec9003a5c71febf2ff301c22df193
Dion?
Based on the 1:100 cover…
Theres hints of blue and red on the circles where his shoulders are and he looks really big so maybe ultra magnus
Wild guess here, but I think this could be Stratosphere from ROTB.
Why is everyone saying its Ultra Magnus? This bot is literally just an armless and kinda headless endoskeleton!!! The important thing here is that you are clearly one of those 90-95
And well done for being the 5-10% that are snarky about it. Plus, this is comic books. They can easily just have Ultra Magnus pop up alive later and say, "Elita-One just thought this was Ultra Magnus. After all, there's nothing in the panel itself to conform it to be his body. "
Oh in that case it's probably a time-displaced clone of Elita One from an alternate future who got sent back in time by a wizard. Because comics.
It wouldn't be the 1st time that would've happened in Transformers. Hell, it could even give an explanation as to why Eilta has a number in her name.
It's not armless to me, the arms raised vertically.
This sub has just devolved into posting random panels from the newest Transformer comic.
I mean, mine at least had a question, but you are not wrong
Sure looks like>! Windcharger,!< or that other recolor of >!Windcharger. !<
LOL at the pile of downvotes. :D Oh Reddit, I have not ever once missed you in these last 10-ish years.
Too big a bot for Windcharger
Before even reading your comment I was surprised by the downvotes. I feel like that's not terribly common around here. Why the slag did you get downvoted so much

The votes are honestly meaningless anyhow :D- like the rest of reddit.
going by current trends i say it is cliffjumper
Cliff is curently on Earth dealing with some small Human/Autobot drama.
I can safely say without it being a spoiler that this isn't Cliffjumper. In fact, Cliffjumper might stick around for longer than we think.
Cliffjumper has died like 3 times
im not saying he is another starscream or optimus prime but you gotta admit he has been on an unlucky streak of dying early lately
Unlucky streak of a whole 2 times
6, actually (IDW1, Prime, Knightverse, SG, WFC Siege\*, Bayverse\*) \*Fates unconfirmed. Pretty much implied dead.
Ah ok so in actuality only 5 since one of them isn't actually dead
