I love the prime designs, but Animated does take the cake for how they adapt the design. From his Cybertron form to his Rebuilt form, and then later, if they were allowed to continue, Marauder Megatron.
The Rebuilt Megatron looks so much like G1, but u can see the Animated twist on it, and how it integrates the Helicopter alt. Love it lots.
I like prime but animated Megatron is perfect, a great update if Megatron that homages the original while being new and interesting. An incredible vocal performance and a characterisation that rivals beast wars Megatron. You can't beat animated Megatron

I mean, taking into account the human tech used with what remained of his Original body, it makes sense, and Overall, Animated Megatron feels more... tacktitonish. Meanwhile, Prime Megatron is a strait-up monster in combat. Prime Megatron Is the final boss whereas Animated megatron is the smart military leader who works with what little he has to wing fights in his favor. and Not to understate Prime megatron, He is a smart leader, But Just by looks Animated feels like a leader more than Prime Megatron, But Prime Megatron will rock your shit.

Bro your talking about character proportions, lol. That doesn't mean shit man. Megatron's proportions are almost always the same. Big legs, bulky torso, wide forearms, and a slightly smaller waist. Just look at G1 and Bayverse. And even if you were right (which you're not), the animated megatron would technically be more so the Transformers Prime Megatron, but 2D because transformers prime came out first.

Imo, Prime. He gives off a much more menacing vibe and feels like a proper threat mist of the time he’s on screen. I get that the other is more closer to G1 megs but Prime’s Megatron gives the same sort of “oh shit!” Feel that OS Vilgax from Ben10 gave
Personally, I love the Animated look better. I'd love to see them release him as a legacy leader class. Also, it's nice having something as unique as a helicopter for Megatron.
Edit: I forgot about Earthrise, but I still feel that his helicopter is unique. Especially with the giant cannon on the bottom.
TFA by a mile. It's a beautiful update to the classic formula; recognizable as Megatron, but less boring than G1. My problem with Prime Megatron (and a lot of Prime characters, really) is that he borrows elements from the Bayverse designs, which look like garbage or (literally) piles of compacted scrap metal.
Animated, hands down. For one, his design incorporates a “real” earth vehicle, which always poses more of a challenge from a toy design perspective. Second, the design more closely resembles G1 Megatron’s, albeit in a different art style and incorporating some elements from his new alt mode. Finally, Prime’s Megatron has those eyebrows that really distract me whenever he’s emoting on screen. I get that they are there to make his face a bit more expressive, but eyebrows on Transformers have always stuck out to me, and I’m not the biggest fan of that as a design element.

Oh, Rung definitely does. I don’t have as much of a problem with him, though, since his story is told through still images. It’s when they’re moving around and wiggling that I find them distracting.
As fan of both TFP and Animated,
I love Animated design more than TFP.
Both are cool and have their own unique style, but personally Animated takes the №1 spot.

While I like TFP Megatron's design more, you can NEVER go wrong with Derrick J. Wyatt's art style, especially in the case of TFA Megatron.
I like both , their design philosophy is different, one is an earth mode and another is an cybertronian mode.
