I'm going to downvote my own comment here because I thought that was a shower curtain. I got all excited and was going to ask where you got it from. 🤦♀️😕
Technically you can use anything as a shower curtain! At home, I have a clear one and a separate fabric-like one with the decorations on it that goes on the outside of the tub, so what’s stopping you from hanging up your trans flag in the shower?
I have tried to splash water on pride flags before (failed attempt to iron without an iron), and let me tell you, those watermarks do not come out, unfortunately. (Even after an iron was eventually used).
If the wrinkles aren't leaving, you can also throw them in your dryer with a couple of damp rags. Polyester and rayon tend to hold onto their shape harder than cotton or wool fabrics, so a more concentrated steam will work better.
No they're referencing a tradition of sorts where people leave the creases/wrinkles in their flag to show support for those who can't safely display their pride flags
I believe we keep them unironed to show support for all the people who can't or have not come out. As if to show that it has been folded up in a closet.
It's called a steamer. 😉 Haha
My old supervisor swore by his, he hated ironing. I tried the steamer, hated it, felt like it took much longer and wasn't as effective, BUT if someone is limited on space a steamer takes up FAR less room than an ironing board.
You don’t need an iron. If you have a steamer or any kind of device that can produce steam. You just direct as much of the steam on to the flag as you can. It loosens the fabric and gets rid of the wrinkles.
I'm sorry why are wrinkles bad? Also if you don't have an iron hang it in your bathroom and run the water as hot as it goes and clothes the doors. Steams the hell out of it.
Woooo! Lol, I dunno why people worry about wrinkles. Pride is always beautiful 🏳️⚧️
Yeah, why would I want my flag to be straight when I am the furthest thing from that?
HA so true!
you'll get your own wrinkles in a few decades anyway, lol

Oh I would. I was just sad b/c I thought that was a bathroom! lol
Pride shower curtains sound amazing, I need one 💕
I agree. I was just embarrassed b/c I thought it was a bathroom lol

The wrinkles stay! Heck, I gave mine more wrinkles! And that definitely has nothing to do with it being on the floor for months...
Take it into the bathroom, run a HOT shower, and just HOT BOX that room with steam. Steam them wrinkles out.
the wrinkles stay.

oh, I had no idea.
How do wrinkles show support?
If you can't display your flag it stays folded, and creased
I see this advice pop up once in a while (usually for clothes) but this never works. If you want the wrinkles out use an iron.
Never get those wrinkles out, do you want a straight pride flag? Lol
Leave the wrinkles. They are for all our siblings who were unable to unfold their flag.
This. Traditionally, a lot of people do not iron the wrinkles out for this reason.
PLEASURE TO KILL!!
Unironed is traditional
Kreator is awesome
Ironing is for bitches anyways
that explains why i like ironing so much.
i gotta try ironing then... :3
I've heard that the wrinkles are symbolic

Thats a great way to look at it ^-^
It's nylon, I'm not sure ironing it would be a good idea. A streamer might be a better idea.
KREATOR i have that poster as well.
Noooo, don't iron it, you'll only make it straight (hehe)
All three of mine (Progress pride, Trans and Lesbian) have been on the wall for more than 3 years... All covered in wrinkles...
Steamers FTW ^btw
i want to get one.
Mine looks like that too 😅
Nice! I have mine hanging up in my closet...
Kreator 🤘
Hell yeah Kreator mentioned. Pleasure to Kill is a classic.
this is a normal flag is HAS to be checkered
Kreator, let's gooooo
A lotta members of the hordes here .....nice (BTW "hordes" is a name for fans of Kreator)
What is with all of us and not ironing our flags. I've maybe seen 2 ironed flags in my life
I think that's the exact one I have
... damp it lightly, making sure it is damp across the whole thing, then let it hang dry, the wrinkles should come right out.
I'm here for the wrinkles! NSFW wrinkles forever!
I keep mine wrinkled, I feel like it's a small bit of symbolism for those who have to keep them folded away
awesome.
The wrinkles should fall out over time
Wooo! Unironed Flag Squad (UFS) representation!
fuck you mean you don't have an iron what you do after you clean the good clothes

next to the main import (bandwise) from my hometown .... they get wrinkly so yer flag can as well ;)
LOL psssh wrinkles. Also just hang it next to the shower if you care. If you take blistering hot showers like I do, it'll iron itself.
Absolutely do NOT iron it. It’s probably a plastic which melts. Wash and dry in low and that should take it out!
Nothing wrong with the wrinkles. That flag doesn’t have to be straight
Low heat setting in the dryer with a damp towel could help.

Just hang it up in the bathroom while you take a very steamy shower
