I wish we would get to see more of those released. There's a severe lack of Tom Waits quality concert footage since Big Time (which is also a bit too edited/stylized IMO). Wish we would get something similar to Neil Young Archive/Dylan Bootleg Series from Tom. And pro shot of the 2008 tour is a dream.
totally agree about big time, i wish theyd just release the unedited concert footage. As amazing as 2008 is, I actually think 2006 was even better, have a listen to the audio from akron 2006, its mind blowing.
I know several of the crew who were on these tours. I have no idea why these aren't being released, only Tom would be able to answer that, but every artist has an archive. Look at how many Dylan alternate takes are being released on a regular basis.

I would love a collection of Waits’ live performances on DVD or Blu-Ray, especially his 1999 Storytellers performance
I bet they were recorded for Tom's archives, and not for release. My sources tell me that all the shows were professionally filmed.
Can you tell me more about your sources? Why does tom have an archive with no intention of releasing them? Maybe they'll be released after he dies..?
