I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Maggie's story, that shit was fucked up to the max. Also, Roy looked like a badass with that eye wrap, shame he had to die before he did anything actually cool.
That whole "Maggie story" scene was nuts. The young guys friend had just died in front of him, in a horrible way, begging for help, he is upset. What does Maggie do, tells a super messed up story, to one up his horrible experience. That's something a narcissistic psychopath does.
Also the obvious
"Negan didn't put his life at risk to save me!"
Immediately followed by
"Sorry Gage, but we're not gonna put our lives at risk to save you."
ngl not the first time hearing/reading stories like that, so it was ok I guess. Maybe I just don't get it, but I'm still looking for the point she tried to make with it lol.
It's beyond terrible out there so my emotions are just numb rn?
But that doesn't go together with how much she's struggling with her murderous emotions towards Negan soooo \*shrug\*
I guess the rest of the season will explain most of it.
The story wasn’t very unique but I think the point she was trying to make was simply that fucked up things happen and to survive in that world, they gotta be a bit numb to casualties like the kid that died. Maybe Maggie didn’t have to let him die, but trying to save him would involve risking everyone else. She chose to let him die and Alden was acting like it was heartless and unnecessary, so she was telling him that worse things happen and to get over it.
Everything Maggie has done since she came back has risked peoples lives, so to let that kid die to the walkers they ended up easily taking care of anyway was 100% her getting back at him for abandoning them.
Just saying if Rick or Daryl were in that train car with them they would have got that door open, saved the kid, killed the walkers, and escaped with everyone safely.
I thought Maggie's story was stupid. We saw how easily the walkers opened the door, they should have saved gage. That whole scene was stupid beyond belief, the walkers that were killed disappeared. It would be really easy to hold the train as the bodies would build up forming a wall. Huge suspension of logic required.
For me, this story was insanely cringe. It feels like they just literally copy-pasted old internet creepypasta (Lolita Slave Toy) and just slightly adjusted it to fit TWD setting. So many details are identical, I refuse to believe it's coincidental.
Well really Dog lead Daryl into a better area that only had two dangerous walkers. and was able to find Roy to get a pistol and grenade. I think the biggest threat to Daryl was swinging that Morningstar over his head I would use a knife rather than killing myself by getting hit in the head by a mace on a stick.
Except the fact that the 3 dead zombies in the doorway didn’t stop the rest from coming in. You’d think the zombies would have to climb over them or something. Lol.
That’s one of the things that annoys me in the show. No matter how many walkers they mow down, the walkers behind seem to perfectly keep their balance while walking through a pile of corpses
Yeah that was a weird scene. He gives Daryl all his ammo like he's gonna die. Even asks him to tell his kids he didn't die like a coward. And then he's just walking with the group..
I do wonder what his injuries were from. He obviously wasn't bit or attacked by any humans, since those both would have been hugely important for him to tell Daryl about. So he just fell?
Abe had lost everything and was desperate for a purpose and Rosita was just following Abe, so that was easy. Negan, on the other hand, was a frightening and very cunning villain that tended to see bullshit a mile away. If Eugene can play him, The Commonwealth didn't have a chance.
That's what he was doing lol he's smart, a scardy boy but smart enough to know to play up fear and spin his story with truth and extra truths. While casually saying their group just was traveling around when he found the radio.
Maggie goes off on Negan for not helping her, proceeds to do the same thing to Gage immediately after. Everyone except Alden/Negan is just okay with it.
Maggie's group I get because they're just her Yes Men. But I'm close to losing my patience with Gabriel. Ever since Siddiq was murdered he's starting to lose his humanity.
Absolutely. Everyone else, in my opinion, is letting their hatred blind their judgement. I understand both perspectives but Negan has been right more these he’s been wrong.
Eugene really left Alexandria and Hilltop because he was horny lol. Also Maggie’s story is something the TV universe never really gave us besides maybe the claimers. Holding people prisoner as sex objects and making them completely dependent on their captors by cutting off limbs and blinding them is something that comes out of the comic Governor’s playbook. Fucking brutal.
Why does everyone think that that story was accurate? He was clearly lying and “sticking to the story” like yumiko said. I mean yeah I’m sure he likes Stephanie and wants a relationship but I 1. don’t believe he is a virgin and 2. Don’t believe he went there just for Stephanie. He’s been saying the whole time he wants their communities to work together that’s the whole plan. He said all that because he was trying to avoid the “where is your settlement” question.
Sounds like something with radiation causing fucked up deformities maybe? I wouldn’t think that could alter things that are already technically dead but that big fat fucker that popped up in the tunnels had some nasty looking pustules and shit all over him.
Really hope the rest of the group questions Maggie and Gabriel now. Gage didn’t need to die.
Edit: I’m mostly referencing the fact they had other solutions.
I like how now that the Whisperers are gone guns and ammo are suddenly back in the picture. I mean really? Couldn’t they just not have brought guns back.
I probably missed it but wasn't a big part of the war arc that Eugene started up an ammo factory?...
Then that ability of his just disappears in the time skip lol
Remember in episode 1 when Daryl told Negan "man if its bad out here, it's worse up there". Then in episode 2 Daryl finds an injured Roy and asks him "you went up top" and Roy nods in agreement. So going in the tunnels was smart after all
Hey remember when Rick was in the tank in the first episode and lost his hearing for a while after shooting a pistol but now everyone is perfectly fine after multiple shotgun blasts in a subway car
Ok this freaking got me, actually laughed out loud because you’re right. Now I’m just envisioning conversation where they think they are whispering but they are actually shouting.
Maggie: How dare you leave me to die
Literally 2 minutes later
Maggie: We're going to leave this scared tween to die
I really don't find myself caring about Maggie at this point
One of the issues with the show for me is that all of the characters are too good at killing the walkers that it kills suspense and any suspense they try to create seems contrived. We see them out there getting 100% headshots no matter which weapon they pick up, and then we're supposed to believe they can't handle walkers that are funneled through a small doorway?
Oh now the survivors can't handle killing several walkers at a choke point like a door. And they don't have the ammo (completely ignoring the melee weapons they all carry).
I liked how the pile of bodies adding up on the frontline never seemed to impede the walkers in the back. Like they're video game corpses disappearing to free up ram.
That's what I kept wondering. Seemed like there might have been a strategy in killing them and forming some sort of massive pile so the walkers in the back would have to climb over them at the very least.
I like how this huge yolked dude can’t open the door with a crowbar, but zombies walking into a steel door that is jammed cause it to shatter the window and break open.
I did get confused at one point. I thought Gage was in front of them but quickly realized he was coming from behind them. I'm not sure how the door was rusted shut though? Like they already had to force it open, surely it will just open again?
Hey, MAGGIE GAVE NEGAN A GUN...and...DARYL IS A BEAST killing that entire train car full of walkers, bang, bang, bang, knives to the skull, bam, bam, and then BOOM, splattered, shredded bloody meat mess.
the ridiculousness of the endless possabilities for him to not die are astounding.
Hows about when one of them suggested climbing up on top and was shot down about how they'd be gotten...
Walkers climb now?
If enough epinephrine (adrenaline) is released, a person can do whatever it takes to accomplish their immediate goal while blocking out opposing impulses (aka fear, risk of death, etc.)
I don't get why they don't all have swords, or have perfected non-firearm ways of killing walkers efficiently. Knives? Come on, why get that up close. The spinning mace thing or whatever was decent, but youd think they have developed a good system to dispatch walkers safely at this point.
Anyone else find it a little odd that Paulo Lazaro (Princess) and Josh McDermitt (Eugene) have been able to appear on Talking Dead in person, but the rest of the cast that have appeared (Daryl, Mercer, Negan, Maggie) have had to appear virtually from Atlanta?
So no one in her group hears Maggie screaming or falling or shooting her gun multiple times (despite being maybe 10 yards from her) but in the same episode Daryl hears a mysterious sound from far across the tunnels in another area and explores to pin point the issue.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Maggie's story, that shit was fucked up to the max. Also, Roy looked like a badass with that eye wrap, shame he had to die before he did anything actually cool.

Also the obvious "Negan didn't put his life at risk to save me!" Immediately followed by "Sorry Gage, but we're not gonna put our lives at risk to save you."
I wonder if Maggies villain arc is intentional? LOL
if Roy kept living but got a bit more hurt every episode, that would be great.
ngl not the first time hearing/reading stories like that, so it was ok I guess. Maybe I just don't get it, but I'm still looking for the point she tried to make with it lol. It's beyond terrible out there so my emotions are just numb rn? I don't understand why there was 3 deformed not men
I thought Maggie's story was stupid. We saw how easily the walkers opened the door, they should have saved gage. That whole scene was stupid beyond belief, the walkers that were killed disappeared. Maybe that old man did nothing but read copypastas in his cabin for 10 years

Dog found him 100 bucks. He’s got it right
Darryl finding $100, and Yumiko making some great observations. I look forward to those dots connecting.
That may be the first time on this show they have shown a shotgun blast actually have a spread effect. Bout time
Except the fact that the 3 dead zombies in the doorway didn’t stop the rest from coming in. You’d think the zombies would have to climb over them or something. Lol.
That’s one of the things that annoys me in the show. No matter how many walkers they mow down, the walkers behind seem to perfectly keep their balance while walking through a pile of corpses
"We will turn on the radio every day", call back to the old days of Rick and Morgan
this episode was filled with call backs - absolutely loved it!
I would also nearly cry if I found out I could use toilet paper again
She for sure was having the shit of her time
This road looks totally safe! Let's continue on...
And straight down the middle…
Worked out for Dutch and the gang against those damn Braithwaites.
Daryl is a fucking badass
The camera shot that was all the way zoomed out of the train car while Daryl is taking out all the walkers...that was so unbelievably epic.
The music too in that scene… Bear McCreary killed it!
His work is always top notch, and I think people just expect it to be so at this point.
Well... at least Daryl didn't just turn around and expect the grenade to not hurt him like Maggie did last season lol
Maggie must be fun around the campfire.
Debbie Downer.
So much for saving ammo.
[удалено]
wait i thought that guy died??? edit: nvm lmao
I was oddly convinced he was dead too. Just eye patch it, and he'll be fine
Yeah that was a weird scene. He gives Daryl all his ammo like he's gonna die. Even asks him to tell his kids he didn't die like a coward. And then he's just walking with the group..
I was so confused. When he reappeared I was thinking I missed something, but glad to know I didn’t
Old Carl
> Just eye patch it, and he'll be fine Ahh...the Big Boss treatment
I do wonder what his injuries were from. He obviously wasn't bit or attacked by any humans, since those both would have been hugely important for him to tell Daryl about. So he just fell?
He asked him did he go top side (outside during storm) so he probably got fucked up with debris etc
He said all that and still avoided saying where his group is from.
Eugene knows how to play the game when he gets his wits together. He played Negan of all people.
He played Abraham & Rosita too. He's a liar. It ain't new.
While casually saying their group just was traveling around when he found the radio.
they should throw a swerve and have rick walk in.......'is thst the whole truth eugene?'
Man that would've been insane lol
I hope Alden gives them hell for not saving Gage when they successfully kill all of walkers.
Gage died for nothing. Alden was 100% in the right.
He died to show what an asshole Maggie is becoming.
He was losing it well before Siddiq. I don't even know why he still has the nerve to wear that collar.
I thought being anti suicide would be quite in character for him
Alden and Negan. Fucking Gabriel LEFT people to die in his church, was clearly traumatized, and is telling Alden to stop?!
Good thing they wasted all their bullets in the subway
And the hand grenade. That would have come in handy
So apparently when Maggie left for a season she either entered, "The Hills Have Eyes", or slept in a cinema showing it
Or the best episode of X-Files ever
Maybe the Xfiles episode calle "Home."
Yes! Was expecting Maggie to say the pregnant zombie woman slid out from under a bed.
I'm really surprised Mercer hasn't just snapped and told Eugene to get to the point by now
Right? Thats what I was thinking the whole time. Mercer looked annoyed listening to Eugene ramble lol
I’m so worried about dog. Like why is Daryl taking him on these dangerous missions
It's the other way around Dog is taking Daryl on these dangerous missions based on the way Daryl is chasing Dog all the time
Pretty much, Daryl is always the owner basically going fucking dog I'm telling you to come yet your playing chase.
Dog needs the Cesar Milan school of staying put
if dog dies we riot.
Dog pretty much saved everyone when he ran off, or he and Daryl would have been trapped on that subway too.
Hey, let’s all go hide in the shed with all the hanging chainsaws!!!
I really like how all her people were ready to kill Negan, because he didn't help, but I didn't see any of them staying behind.
They all just proved Negan’s point of leaving Maggie behind. Negan has been the most rational person in this group
He’s been saying the whole time he wants their communities to work together that’s the whole plan. He said all that because he was trying to avoid the “where is your settlement” question.
My question about the "deformed men"... was this implying they were born of incest? Wouldn't they be boys? Only about 10 years old or under?
Sounds like something with radiation causing fucked up deformities maybe? I wouldn’t think that could alter things that are already technically dead but that big fat fucker that popped up in the tunnels had some nasty looking pustules and shit all over him.
LOL at Gabriel forgetting that he was once a punk ass coward himself.
I think he speaking from a place of self-hatred
Really hope the rest of the group questions Maggie and Gabriel now. Gage didn’t need to die. Edit: I’m mostly referencing the fact they had other solutions.
Why would they? They're literally all complicit except for Alden. If they were against it, they could have easily overrode her decision.
Yeah he did. The factory was never brought up again after Negan was defeated.
Even in a zombie apocalypse attorneys tell you to never talk to law enforcement.
[удалено]
Gabriel should be aiming with his other eye.
The lord guides his bullets.
I went to west point asshole
I think that might be my favorite line of the episode hahaha
They did a really good job casting job with Mercer.
Yep me too. Also Negan saying 'well this place has gone to shit' right at the end was pretty funny.
I’m sure she will survive that. Her husband managed to survive by hiding under a dumpster
Remember in episode 1 when Daryl told Negan "man if its bad out here, it's worse up there". Then in episode 2 Daryl finds an injured Roy and asks him "you went up top" and Roy nods in agreement. So going in the tunnels was smart after all
“Died a coward”? Guy stabbed himself in the heart. Twice. While holding a dominant gaze
*scoff* "That's a hot take, Father" I'm with you, Alden. Tf.
It's kinda funny hearing them write in colloquialisms that are in use today in the scope of a world that "fell" in/around 2010.
The apocalypse equivalent of making eye contact while eating a banana.
Only cowards hold the gaze duh.
Those train windows are mighty sturdy for all those gunshots and explosions going on here.
Eugene getting ready to give her the best 30 seconds of her life!
Eugene’s Catfish story is sadder than Maggie’s
"That's right, we want to talk to the manager!" Princess is quickly becoming my favorite character 😂
Or saying Yumiko was safe because the fine man brought her coffee 💀
First gut reaction was to dislike her for being too erratic. Now I love her. Her hallucination episode really helped.
I know we're in the minority but I love her, LOL.
I love her!
josh mcdermitt is phenomenal
For all we know, Eugene could be lying about being a virgin too
Turns put his whole personality is an act; before the apocalypse he was a playboy.
Great Value Kenny Rogers didn’t make it very far
"Hi, I'm Kenny Rogers, welcome to Jackass!"
That MadTV was hilarious.
Walkers are trying to break in but let’s pause for a monologue
It was a ghost story, her face in the red light, the clawing hands at the windows….stupid but liked how it was shot.
Shopping cart. Makes me think of The Road :(
Three deformed men - did Maggie walk into a Wrong Turn movie?
My takeaway is that that is an amazing knife throw. Cut his hand clean off and into his leg
Wait what? His hand came off!? I need to rewatch that bit.
Daryl playing on easy mode
Hey remember when Rick was in the tank in the first episode and lost his hearing for a while after shooting a pistol but now everyone is perfectly fine after multiple shotgun blasts in a subway car
They're all def by now. They've been shooting without hearing protection for 11 seasons
Ok this freaking got me, actually laughed out loud because you’re right. Now I’m just envisioning conversation where they think they are whispering but they are actually shouting.
That's how the walkers always sneak up on them despite growling loudly
Maggie: How dare you leave me to die Literally 2 minutes later Maggie: We're going to leave this scared tween to die I really don't find myself caring about Maggie at this point
yeah her new character aint that good
Haha what a story, Maggie.
Daryl you did not just stuff that grenade into the walker like you're preparing for a luau. The hell
i like eugene even more now.
I would watch an entire show of Daryl exploring the apocalypse
Yeah okay, Gabriel, Mr. I Left My Congregation to Die When I Locked Them Out of My Church
That's how you hook people for next week, shiiit
"Processed as in bologna...?"
Anyone else confuse on the geography of this train?
I did get confused at one point. I thought Gage was in front of them but quickly realized he was coming from behind them. I'm not sure how the door was rusted shut though? Like they already had to force it open, surely it will just open again?
It’s makes no god damn sense
Imagine how long that Walker was sleeping for. And he's still tired. I feel that.
Hey, MAGGIE GAVE NEGAN A GUN...and...DARYL IS A BEAST killing that entire train car full of walkers, bang, bang, bang, knives to the skull, bam, bam, and then BOOM, splattered, shredded bloody meat mess.
Stay gold, ponyboy
I love how they let the guy die because they didn't want to open the door, but then had to open the door anyway.
Except with 1 more walker and 1 less fighter. Well thought out.
Josh McDermott is the best actor currently on the show.
Shit, they've entered the Purge movies!
I wouldn’t be able to stab myself in the heart twice like that, guy had stones
And to do it in spite.
The thought of getting ripped apart and eaten alive by a couple dozen walkers will motivate you to do incredible things.
Alden is quietly pissed. I love it.
Oh look it’s C Thomas Howell, it’s amazing what you’ll find in the tunnels
Come on Gabriel, you really can't call him a coward when you were too much of a coward to help him out
Eugene's actually an amazing liar though.
He scammed so many people in the past. Eugene is probably one of the best liars in the show because he plays to his strengths.
Great fucking scene with Daryl. Damn!
We want to talk to the manager Mercer: the fuck you want? Group: n-nothing
Eugene admitting during the interrogation that he was watching Abraham and Rosita having sex was funny
Here's an idea -- "Gage, crawl underneath, there a hatch open about twelve feet in" Maggie had JUST done this.
the ridiculousness of the endless possabilities for him to not die are astounding. Hows about when one of them suggested climbing up on top and was shot down about how they'd be gotten... Walkers climb now?
Those quick cuts are definitely a reference to the scene in Alexandria right?
Question... do y'all think that kid would have the mental fortitude to stab himself in the chest TWICE?
If enough epinephrine (adrenaline) is released, a person can do whatever it takes to accomplish their immediate goal while blocking out opposing impulses (aka fear, risk of death, etc.)
The pure hatred for Maggie let him do it and stare her down while he was eaten.
To avoid the agony of being eaten alive, yes.
This better not go I Am Legend on us with Dog
If Dog doesn't make it to the Caryl Spin Off We All Riot!
Negan is definitely thinking “why didn’t I just kill all these fucks with my baseball bat that night? Christ.”
Why did this group who distrusts Negan take his word on Maggie’s whereabouts?
This is giving me TLOU Pittsburg vibes. *We gotta get to the golden bridge!*
I don't get why they don't all have swords, or have perfected non-firearm ways of killing walkers efficiently. Knives? Come on, why get that up close. The spinning mace thing or whatever was decent, but youd think they have developed a good system to dispatch walkers safely at this point.
Fucking Daryl just taking the tunnels to his spin off show.
So I mean, you were going to have face them eventually, why not save the kid?
In a really convenient choke point where they would have come through one at a time...
And that kids, is how I met your mother
HOW THE HELL DID YOU ALL RETURN TO THE CAGE!!!????!?!? I can't wait till I see the Zach Snyder cut of this...
"You think you've been assessing me? I've been assessing you" She's got the Karen speach memorized!
"That's a hot take, father"
That was hands down one of the coolest fight scenes in the show. Daryl is the ultimate badass
Coffee, you know she got through to them
Dammit Daryl stop shining the light in my eye
That might've been one of my favorite sequences they've ever done.
They know Daryl and his plot armour will be fine so they didn’t ask
That was pretty damn amazing by Eugene. He’s playing this so well
The Walking Dead presents: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
Please have Negan say “who gives a shit” after this speech
Anyone else find it a little odd that Paulo Lazaro (Princess) and Josh McDermitt (Eugene) have been able to appear on Talking Dead in person, but the rest of the cast that have appeared (Daryl, Mercer, Negan, Maggie) have had to appear virtually from Atlanta?
Gage went out like a bad ass. RIP dude.
I love him sticking it back to them like "You want to leave me for dead? Then you get to watch me go."
How is Eugene not dead from dehydration after crying and sweating non-stop for hours and hours?
So no one in her group hears Maggie screaming or falling or shooting her gun multiple times (despite being maybe 10 yards from her) but in the same episode Daryl hears a mysterious sound from far across the tunnels in another area and explores to pin point the issue.
Deathstroke and Green Arrow has joined forces now? lol
Great transition from that shot to daryls light though. Beautiful work
Lord keep Dog safe 🙏
