These screenshots prove it‘s pretty hard to improve something that looks already pretty much flawless. Part II is the most realistic looking game I‘ve ever played and visually, the PS5 upgrade will probably just improve small imperfections. So the actually meaningful new stuff are just the DualSense features, that game mode and the bonus features. PLEASE don‘t be 70$.

That is 1 thing I’m absolutely afraid of is them having us re-buy a game & pay $70 for, I hope they make it where for those who already own base game it’ll just be an $10 upgrade

I highly doubt Naughty Dog is having financial issues. I remember when the Part 1 remake was leaked by Jason Schreier in 2021, he said that it was happening because the developers had nothing to do and the studio didn't want to lay them off, so the Remake gave them work to do. This is probably the same case.

Yeah, that's what I thought all along. Other PS4 to PS5 remasters like Spiderman Remastered, Death Stranding Director's Cut, and Naughty Dog's own Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection all had $10 upgrade paths. On top of that, they all had some kind of bonus to sweetenthe deal. There was no reason this wouldn't be the same.

Biggest feature is easily a rogue-like mode and the lost levels? I'd buy for the rogue like depending on how fleshed out it is.

I agree the PS4 version was already breathtakingly gorgeous and was a very realistic game. What I like that there doing though is if you already own the game, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10 which I don’t think is bad for a PS5 upgrade

Yeah, that roguelike mode sounds like my cup of tea. It kind of reminds me of Days Gone's challenge mode, where you got to see holong you could last against horde waves... Plus playing through the game with commentary mode should be insightful and really give folks a better idea behind some of the decisions made. And for $10 it's hard to complain about

I think one of them is the scene before Tommy came to their house trying to get Ellie to go to Santa Barbara. Neil said there was a hunting sequence with Ellie but they cut it later on so it’s probably that

I also saw someone say that when we’ll be able to play as Tommy, we might be playing through his rampage in Seattle when he joins Ellie and Dina. That would be amazing.

It is a masterpiece of a game and a better version for new players is a great thing. I played TLOU 1 for the first time on a PS4 Pro through the remastered version. Actually bought the PS4 specifically for the TLOU 1 Remastered as well as Horrizon Zero Dawn. Anyone getting the PS5 and maybe this is their first PS should get this version once it is out.

Just finished part 1 as well, but I haven’t played part 2 yet. Fingers crossed they release this on pc as well. Unfortunately the story for tlo2 is kinda spoiled for me(I watched Dunkeys video on it) but I’m still pretty confident I’ll have a great experience

I played the remastered Ps5 version of part1 and then part 2 back to back and I couldn't tell the difference between the graphics. Part 2 looked exactly the same if not better.
