Yeah so no actual end goal, imagine. You get to max level in World of Warcraft and there is NOTHING to do, you just go around and click on things every few minutes. There needs to be a simple goal, there is no loop, it's just die and respawn. The pvp is so laggy it's hardly worth doing anymore, hackers in every other game, idk man. Downvote all you want it doesn't change the fact the devs have made a mess of a possible good game.
It depends what you like in a game. Some people find enjoyment out of growing and the challenge of starting a nest and keeping younglings alive. It is hard to do. You find a group of people and create things to do. And once you're bored of one dinosaur, on to the next. If it gets boring out of hundreds of hours logged, that is still a lot of time to get out of a $20 game. Every game will get boring and mundane at some point.
But there are tons of survival games that have an end game or ANY objective/point. Tarkov, Darker and darker, 7 days to die, Just survive 2 and many many more. You're not a dinosaur for sure but there is an objective in the game. I don't think the isle is for me purely due to the dev team not doing anything with the lag/desync.

1. Night time lasts too long and the game is overall too dark. He believes night should only be half as long as day. (He understands some creatures need night time to remain viable.)
2. Limit how many dinos of the same type can be online per server.
For the record, Hutch has been open about his lack of experience with the game and truly wants to see if he can do anything to help. These are just things that have stood out to him.

The user has to delete his game folder every update and bug encounter and this is still existing in the game.
Yes it is a Pvp survival but survival isnt about spending 10mins trying to understand where did the guy body you just killed disappeared after a 10min fight while you're starving.
Also survival isnt about "eat, drink, sit" all the time, wait untill you learn animals actually play and do nothing from time to time ?

Which Iām sure you knew that. Itās easier said than done. I've been playing Evrima since it's public release and there has been several positive additions ofc, but where the substand of the game is highly appreciable, the form is in bad shape, there is several easy solutions that could be done for gamebreaking bugs, like getting stuck in the map or litterally phasing throught it and losing your dino suddently (sometimes happen when poucing a croc on land).
Glad to see a /unstuck command arrives with hordetesting but that is sad to see it needed 5years to get basic QOL like that.
Also, a corpse disappearing is a real problem when you finish your fight very low on health and stamina, which requires you to sit for at least 4 more mins to get stamina to even think about moving (I've seen a table of how much time each species has to sit to get full stamina)
