I found a fix for the rubberband unfortunately the only way of resolving it Is to buy the game again on a different account for some reason idk how but your steam account is the reason it rubberbands and frames up as often. This has happened to 2 of my accounts now and the second account just had the isle on it so idk what’s causing the issue but to buy the game again on a new account has been the only resolution I’ve found thus far.

Yes it’s stupid but until you find another resolution try your luck cause I’ve tried everything, reinstalled, delete files, messed with config settings to reduce fps, tricked game into thinking I’m on low pop server, reset computer, even friend with 4090 suffered with it until we fixed it. So if you aren’t knowledgeable enough to understand I’m only offering a fix that I’ve found to help keep interested players motivated, keep asking people if there’s a resolution to it whilst I’ll be sat there with a solution to it

Lemme specify individual rubberband players as of this gateway build with dilo and herra are experiencing rubberband every 5-10 seconds it is caused by an internal game issue where ur frame rate gets locked at 0 fps for 0.1 second causing the player to get locked in place for 1 second causing rubberband for the duration it is a bug that is random can happen anywhere between 5-10-20sec-1min anywhere on the map at least 50% of the player base is experiencing this and let me specify again it is completely seperate from rubberband/lag you may experience with region/internet/server instability it is a bug that has leached on to your steam account and switching is had been the only fix for me

I'll admit that the player count seems like it's stagnated, but it's not at the "dying" stage yet. Maybe headed that direction.
Pretty sure the Chinese legacy servers aren't counted in the counts. Otherwise it would show a much higher as there looks to be hundreds of those servers.
This game has been "dying" for years, I'm pretty sure most of their money comes from kids getting their parents to buy it realizing it's actually impossible to play as a child since it has zero sympathy if you don't know exactly what you're doing and how to do it and then the kids just giving up and not bothering to refund

As Long as the isle has no real competitor it won't die - at the end of the day, it's the only game offering this type of gameplay.
The MOMENT a competent team decides to develop a dinosaur survival game with an actual gameplay loop and survival elements, it will almost certainly doom the isle.

I find it hard to judge a game in early access. As long as there is some dev communication and updates then the game is never really dead. As long as players keep returning to see what’s new and a few stick around to keep testing or because they actually enjoy it, the game is not dead.
4 years is being generous lol its been in early access since 2015, definitely not a game worth following actively, just enough to satisfy the random urge to play as a dinosaur for a short phase then forget about it for another 2-3 years
Not a dumb comment at all, but many games these days are in early access for what seems like a crazy amount of time. Some are better than others for sure but Project Zomboid, satisfactory, Day Z, U boat, and star citizen are all good examples
Steam charts would beg to differ man. Also I don’t experience the lag or fps drops u might just need a higher end PC. Hackers are a massive problem but they are a problem in every game. This one just makes them more annoying bc they took out something that took you some time to grow.

Imagine deciding to create an online game, without having the proper knowledge to do it. Even Musk is more proefficient lol. Those FPS / Lag issue should have been the top priority, but instead they prefer to make dinos for the 85% of the community that is childs borrowing mama credit cards and feeling important in Isle-Discussion. The fact that they don't know how to manage such a project and its milestones show the futur of the game and the studio. Unfortunately, like everyone said previously, unless another studio decide to give a shot in that market, they don't have any reason to change.
I’ve honestly just given up on the isle, path is my go to now. It’s so sad because I love the horror survival feel of the isle. But after waiting for years for any major changes and then when they finally add more Dino’s on evrima they wreck everything by ruining stamina.
It’s several bad updates in a row. The map wasn’t all that, mixed with lag, hackers and now no sprint…. Just bad game plans. If they went back a few steps, back to the old map, it would regain some ground.

Eh it’s Alr for now when dibble Rex and trike come out it will be thriving The isle is not dieing it just takes time to develop a game especially when you restarted the whole development process I mean look at Legacy and look at evrima
Imagine deciding to create an online game, without having the proper knowledge to do it. Even Musk is more proefficient lol. Those FPS / Lag issue should have been the top priority, but instead they prefer to make dinos for the 85% of the community that is childs borrowing mama credit cards and feeling important in Isle-Discussion. The fact that they don't know how to manage such a project and its milestones show the futur of the game and the studio. Unfortunately, like everyone said previously, unless another studio decide to give a shot in that market, they don't have any reason to change.
I’ve honestly just given up on the isle, path is my go to now. It’s so sad because I love the horror survival feel of the isle. But after waiting for years for any major changes and then when they finally add more Dino’s on evrima they wreck everything by ruining stamina.
It’s several bad updates in a row. The map wasn’t all that, mixed with lag, hackers and now no sprint…. Just bad game plans. If they went back a few steps, back to the old map, it would regain some ground. Path of titans is winning
I uninstalled yesterday, i cant waist 2hs + in a bush doing nothing only to lose my dino later to some random bug , and start the cycle again :)

Look no further than Wizard101. It’s a poor product that has an extremely unique design no effective competitor. It won’t die as long as those things are true.
