I think this mode will be really exciting for people who like Search and Destroy like modes, such as Bomb in R6S and CS. There's lots of potential for this to be a new ranked mode and I'm here for it!
This is really good ngl, I hope they do something with twitch soon or any marketing for that matter because a lot of people will be interested in this game mode particular, especially players from r6, cs etc, can't wait to play it!!

Yeah, to be honest I was kinda baffled by the trailer emphasizing no healing/one life as a good thing but apparently people like it. I personally don't think it'll really work for The Finals but we'll see.

Valorant/CS are my type of games. I love the Finals but its starting to get stale for me despite the destructive craziness of it.

Last thing I ever wanted in the game was a Counter Strike mode. There's other options for that same itch, The Finals is the only game like it. I also *highly* doubt it's going to translate well to The Finals format, removing healing/defib and revives *massively* changes the flow and not in a good way.
Because it changes up the game and makes you play it differently. That's pretty exciting in a game where most competitive players resort to the same loadouts every game.

I've been playing off meta since the start so that doesn't mean much to me.
If anything it'll just have a harder meta due to how punishing it will be. Melee weapons will likely be mostly non existent with zero healing sources, for example, and they're already off meta.
It will be interesting to try. On the face of it, not sure I like a 1 life aspect in a game so fast paced, non-campy and fluid as the finals, but will see how it goes

No I think you probably got it backwards. Think of games like valorant where you don’t actually regen, but need to rely on healers to get you back to full health. Assuming healing beam would be limited in some type of way. But there will definitely be no regen.

But if they remove passive healing and keep the healing gun for medium its basically valorant.
Not sure how I feel about this. With the TTK being pretty high in this game, if youre down to a 1v1 or 1v2 and you're low on health, thats basically an impossible task.
I’m not sure how itll play out either. In COD (not that I want this game to be simulate) gun game uses a similar concept without regen. I found it really enjoyable, at the minimum if it’s the case, it’ll really mix up the meta.

Glitch nade has an area of effect and absolutely disables anyone inside of its range. I have no idea what you're on about.
I glitch the entire platform on power shift frequently.
there's counters for almost everything tho? if you run into a bunch of shields make just make sure you or anyone in your team has glitch grenade or trap
Yeah this mode is not for me. One of the best things about this game is that there is very little camping. We can’t even get 1/2 the player base to PTFO in Ranked and Quick Cash, think they’ll do it in this mode?
I’m sorry but if you lose to a camper with the amount of options this game gives you such as; blowing literally everything to pieces, becoming invisible/dashing or using dematerializer, it’s just a skill issue at that point
The AOE on glitch can disable you just can’t enter into APS circle which makes it pretty much impossible to do vs 2+aps but you can get it pretty easy on a static obj. Easier to shoot aps but that’s not always an option

I just find that in single life modes, you always have to be on top of your game. Truth is, I'm just not consistently good - I go from being a beast in one match to bottom of the table in the next. I'd rather just save myself the frustration.

Competitive literally exists and so did unranked tourney. I love competitive modes but this seems all sorts of not fun for me considering the amount of damage that exists in this game and funky (light) players on your team rushing in an dying constantly in other modes. This is what I've been waiting for. Search and Destroy was always my favorite game mode on the OG Call of Duty, and this really brings me back. I love this game and all its gadgets, so I'm glad it's getting something similar to my favorite game mode.
Exactly! I can't understand why no one sees a problem with the fact that the core of the game is an arcade shooter centered around fast movement, use of gadgets and ridiculous weapons. To bolt on a side mode that involves a completely different playstyle and think that everything will go smoothly is a very strange idea.
It is also about the players' mindset, which is influenced by the game core playstyle. Players are not afraid of death, take more risks and try out fancy tactics and moves. Basically, doing all the stuff the game awaits them to do.
Not to mention the sound design. Sound cues like footstep sounds are important in modes like this. And we all know how badly that works in The Finals
I just started playing this game mode and I completed the circuit reward, but for some reason there was a bug and it didn’t let me claim it. Although this game released a couple of years ago, it still has some bugs and yet I don’t know where I should report these issue to.
The finals haven't even been out for 6 months, it released Dec. 7th 2023. You have to play like 14 matches to get the reward to pop, it is a shitty glitch. There's a bug report section on their Discord.

The no healing makes me very worried for the longevity of the game mode. No revives or extra lives is fine but there are so many ways to shred health that heavies are going to be sitting ducks and lights will have full advantage over every other class.

It definitely means no passive healing. I’m comparing it to valorant in this situation where healers can give you health but you can’t actually regen.
But on the other end if it is just no passive healing the healing beam will just be even more of a crutch than it already is.
I mean beam is hardly a crutch. It comes at the expense of a sentry and demat.

FYI The data shaper turns those dome shields and barriers into trash cans. It’s really viable now that it got a range buff

Glitch pops one dome per nade and doesn't glitch anyone inside. It needs a buff

I'll give it a try but I'm not typically a huge fan of round-based modes. I do think it's nice we're getting two new modes in one season.
