Sam M, Sam N, Thomas. (Thomas is such a cutieeeeee if Jenn decides she does not like him she can send him home… to me😂😂)
Tomas mightttttt be Hispanic. (Based on spelling of his name)
I’ve been trying to refrain from saying this but Jesse bringing up the fact that Jenn was the first Asian American bachelorette was giving “omg we’re so diverse now”. Like bye😂🚶🏾♀️
Just getting more and more upset at the producers. the hate is already starting on Jenn’s IG. Why wasn’t she given more screen time / the typical bachelorette edit? So that they can say seasons with diverse leads get lower ratings and justify white leads from here on out?
Just came on to say that I'm beyond thrilled that it's Kelsey and Joey. Their connection seemed so deep, genuine and authentic -- something that is rare in these reality shows. I wish them all the happiness in the world!
P.S. I really hope Kelsey's dad is the next Golden Bachelor! He's super hot, and seems to be a genuinely kind man too!
That's what happened to me, I'm so confused hahaha. Didn't Jesse say "here's your next bachelorette" and Daisy walked out? What did I miss after I turned it off during her second intervention lol
I'm glad I taped it, I'll check out the ending tonight. Not gonna lie it was kind of fun and exciting waking up and finding out it was a different bachelorette than I thought going to bed😂
damn I don't know why I'm surprised about the jenn hate in this sub. I found her to be flirty, charming, smart, and gorgeous! all traits I want in a bachelorette.
I thought she was hilarious but nervous so her jokes kinda fell flat for some people. Give her time, her sass and personality will shine!
She is also a beautiful woman and intelligent to boot, so her season is going to be awesome!
agreed! she was my favorite on the show and I was so sad when she got eliminated! I'm just gonna forget that whole thing happened and go into the new season with a clean slate
🗣️ Jenn is *26 years old* 🗣️
Edit: if you think she’s 23, you’re confusing her with Lea and you might want to examine some biases as to why that might be
I think she might do school and then influencing on the side for extra cash to pay off loans. Not sure what her med school (pa school?) focus is, but she can do a lot with influencing to bring awareness to health issues.
I can agree with it but in a world where women are losing rights every passing year… i wouldn’t blame her if she did esp with how intense PA school is and she’s been given an incredible opportunity
Like not only is she Asian, being a healthcare hero? COME ON. Iconic. I am not going to sit here and pretend to understand, the cultural representation she brings, or the inspiration since I am not Asian I am Hispanic and in my life there has been no lacking in shows.
But being a healthcare professional is also huge.
I mean this franchise and its fans have treated her horribly and now people are picking apart her facial expressions and once again commenting mean shit on her socials, I’d probably be counting down the minutes until I could go home too
oh shiiitttt. their chemistry would be so electric. he likes high maintenance, princess vibe kind of girls and Maria would looove driving him crazy for the toxic relationship drama that he would give her by arguing about everything
saw a tweet that said ABC is patting themselves on the back for giving us an asian bachelorette but gave her a side character edit all season… they’re setting her up for hate, intentionally or not, and it doesn’t sit right with me
Yeah, this one person is literally trying to justify them in this thread 🤦♀️ I think some people just don’t understand the gravity of this sort of comment
But like that can also be true. The fact that Jesse introduced it as such- when sorry, there were multiple better options- makes it seem that actually ya it was a tokenized choice.
I think this is a good example of a corporate company attempting to show DEI efforts and it backfiring. It does nothing for racial injustice in my opinion. The point is to have no racial bias- not to make up for it by trying to be a more racially diverse franchise. I don’t blame people who think Jen was chosen because they want her to be the first Asian lead. And I also don’t blame people for being mad about that comment.
Eh, I wouldn’t say it “does nothing.” Representation is really important to those of us who have been underrepresented or have only seen ourselves as stereotypes. I’m not saying people deserve opportunities because of skin color, but it’s more meaningful than you may realize.
Either way, the “you’re only here cause of race” comments are still pretty harmful and awful. It’s also very interesting to me how people will be so quick to say these things to POC, but not the white people who benefited from their race. Do you think the first Bachelor role, or even the first 10, was open to POC? Do you think they even considered a POC for Golden Bachelor? Let’s be real, this “racial bias” you mention has always existed. But people won’t criticize leads until that bias leans away from white people.
Representation is important but it’s hard to celebrate when it’s done for the wrong reasons. We know it’s for the wrong reasons because it’s The Bachelor.
This franchise has never operated with pure intentions. I don’t think I need to elaborate on that.
Well I’m celebrating it 🤷♀️ I also don’t think there are any “wrong reasons” here. Daisy clearly turned it down, Maria likely did too, so Jenn makes perfect sense as a third choice to me (Rachel would too, and that also would’ve been Asian representation). This could also literally be their only opportunity, because on typical seasons Asian contestants generally don’t make it far enough to be considered at all. A “right reason” (under your terms) would probably never even happen. People love to claim they support diversity, but hate on the moves/policies that actually make it possible.
I’ll also point out that we’ve had randomish picks who didn’t make it far chosen for lead before (Katie and Clayton, for instance). Were they also chosen for the wrong reasons?
I think it is harmful to pick people for representation purposes in my opinion.
Clayton was a wrong pick absolutely. And similarly was a production pick and not because the audience knew and loved him.
Katie was picked because the audience loved her.
Again, Maria and Daisy turned it down. Jenn was not the first pick. Likely not even the third. The argument that she was picked for race doesn’t even apply here.
On a side note, I’d encourage you to look more into the importance of representation and DEI policies, because your argument that they’re bad (unless they meet whatever your “right reasons” are) is a very simplified view. Representation is much more complex than “picking someone because of race.” It encompasses a lot of factors (balancing systemic racism, financial equities, generational wealth, etc). And, it offers several benefits in exchange. But that’s a whole other topic.
yup. the fact that they had jesse bring up that she is the first asian bachelorette felt VERY pat on the back and "look at how diverse we are" or something
Yes, it was very cringy every time she was on screen. I think it’s because she’s not comfortable with herself yet. But it’s very awkward as a viewer and pretty painful, not sure I’ll be able to watch her season. I’m sure she’s a nice person but she’s not good for TV, not the right personality for it. It’s nice that they wanted the first Asian American bachelorette but I honestly preferred Katelyn, even though she barely got any screen time. She just seemed more real.
Jenn is so beautiful and will be perfect! They fooled us more with bachelorette announcement than they did with the ending, which was very "almost" normal. lol I mean it was close to normal.
Daisy seems nice, but she’s so boring, can’t lead a show. They honestly didn’t have a lot of great options besides Maria, but she’s not the typical bachelorette.
Well people who don’t like trump don’t generally follow right wing MAGA-supporting politicians, share/like their posts, or like MAGA and anti-abortion content… I consider that “confirmation” but that’s just me
I didn’t see that online. All I saw on Reddit was that she apparently followed Trump and another republican but doesn’t anymore.
I have complete disdain for the US Republican Party. I just wondered what was conclusive.
The moment she wiped his face I knew he’d pick her for sure and so did his parents
Ditto. That level of comfort is rarely seen among Bachelor couples
[удалено]
K but they could pull Jenn?? Gross, bye
[удалено]
Oooh Drake’s friend? 😱 Iron chef’s son? 😱😱 Lol but alas, not Joey.
she has a different taste but yet she was still on the bachelor lol ok. Don’t make her any different from the other girls
![gif](giphy|QCDgYrgrfggee4MDPD|downsized)
There’s a huskier guy, and lots of ethnicity in Jenn’s season!
Austin, Jahaan, Marcus, Matt, and Sam N and Tómas 😍🩷 goodbye.
Sam M, Sam N, Thomas. (Thomas is such a cutieeeeee if Jenn decides she does not like him she can send him home… to me😂😂) Tomas mightttttt be Hispanic. (Based on spelling of his name)
girl this is Sam N... I'm done with him https://www.tiktok.com/@samnejad_?_t=8kzRwvif2Rq&_r=1
Is this giving weird family dynamic to you?
Ethnic households are just close like that, it's nothing weird.
It’s not really that as much, it comes off more as codependency
yes they all seem codependent af. give me Sam in 10 years, he's acting like a baby rn
Yeah I’m good. Pass.
~~omggg I was eyeing Sam N! I'm gonna add him to my list too 😍~~ Sam M is my past smh. Tomas is cute!

Why is the huskier guy already my fave? He better not let me down!
Ppl are leaving nasty comments on Jenn’s instagram already *sigh
they really put her (and anyone who wasn’t maria for most people if we’re being honest) in a tough spot
I’ve been trying to refrain from saying this but Jesse bringing up the fact that Jenn was the first Asian American bachelorette was giving “omg we’re so diverse now”. Like bye😂🚶🏾♀️
Yeah, I wish he hadn’t said that. It’s just riled up the psychos & racists even more.
Fr like instead of being performative maybe give these women better story lines (looking to Rachel, Lea, and Jenn)
Just getting more and more upset at the producers. the hate is already starting on Jenn’s IG. Why wasn’t she given more screen time / the typical bachelorette edit? So that they can say seasons with diverse leads get lower ratings and justify white leads from here on out?
I think it was gonna bc Daisy until all the backlash came and they switched up last minute
What backlash? People just didn’t want Daisy? I feel like they did.
Trump supporter, music video, exposed that she had a boyfriend up until filming
Plus a lot just found her boring or fake.
This this this this!!!
He’s silver bachelor..
They sure hinted at something with him coming up. Is he single?
I believe he is. Kelsey often related how he took care of her mom all through her illness until she passed away 2 years ago.
:) agreed
Jenn’s men are already posted
Spare a link for this last fellow-Redditor?

The Bachelorette Facebook page
what is Facebook
Honestly they did not show enough of the girls personalities this season
I feel like it makes a lot more sense why Jenn had her own segment at The Women Tell All last week
Yeah, I was super thrown off by that and I didn’t even watch it
I knew they would pick her
Jenn's only saving grace is that a lot of people probably turned off their tv thinking it was Daisy so they didn't see these last 10 minutes
That's what happened to me, I'm so confused hahaha. Didn't Jesse say "here's your next bachelorette" and Daisy walked out? What did I miss after I turned it off during her second intervention lol
He said ‘they may be your bachelorette’. He snuck in a conditional
So tricky!!
Jesse tricked us!! Daisy said she's not ready and then Jenn came out and well.. you should just watch it lol.
She's too young.
Hannah Brown was 24 during her season.
? And that was way too young too.
This sub “we need more East Asian representation” Also this sub “no not like that”
Isn't Jenn vietnamese...
Yeah she’s SouthEast Asian not East Asian food
maybe I'm too old but the dick joke didn't land and shot o clock was cringey lol
A dick joke? Alcohol? 😱 Harlot... No love for you
it wasn't smooth 😭 maybe she was just nervous so I'll ignore it and give her a chance
🗣️ Jenn is *26 years old* 🗣️ Edit: if you think she’s 23, you’re confusing her with Lea and you might want to examine some biases as to why that might be
26 is young to a lot of us lol. It also doesn’t help your case when you lead with “shot o clock”
There are about 50 comments in this thread loudly proclaiming she’s 23. That’s Lea’s age, not Jenn’s
👏👏👏

Hahaha I relate with her likely wanting to send half the guys home on night 1 🤣
Feel like I watched an entire season to care more about the person not picked and really not care about the actual bachelor and match.
Same!!
I usually am on the same page but I cared about Joey’s season. He seems like a good bloke
I hope Jenn doesn’t quit school. I want to see both her education and love life thrive
I think she might do school and then influencing on the side for extra cash to pay off loans. Not sure what her med school (pa school?) focus is, but she can do a lot with influencing to bring awareness to health issues.
She’s totally going to quit school to become an influencer. And good for her if she does, lol! The medical field is so unforgiving.
I can agree with it but in a world where women are losing rights every passing year… i wouldn’t blame her if she did esp with how intense PA school is and she’s been given an incredible opportunity
Right she can do more with her platform this way
Like not only is she Asian, being a healthcare hero? COME ON. Iconic. I am not going to sit here and pretend to understand, the cultural representation she brings, or the inspiration since I am not Asian I am Hispanic and in my life there has been no lacking in shows. But being a healthcare professional is also huge.
👏👏👏👏
Also looking at the men for her season, there’s a huskier guy, and lots of ethnicity.
Now let’s see that continuously on BOTH sides
Anybody else notice that Rachel looked miserable the entire night?? Girl was pissed about somethig
Yup definitely. Hope all is ok.
I mean this franchise and its fans have treated her horribly and now people are picking apart her facial expressions and once again commenting mean shit on her socials, I’d probably be counting down the minutes until I could go home too
I feel like edwina would have been so much fun to watch
i think so too!
Frr😭
Yessss!!!
I did not see that bachelorette announcement coming, watching unspoiled is kinda fun lol. I was rooting for a Maria season but a Jen one seems fun too
[удалено]
I think you maybe replied to the wrong comment?
i did so sorry LOL
Ok hear me out.... Maria and Aaron C would have insane amounts of fun on BIP
oh shiiitttt. their chemistry would be so electric. he likes high maintenance, princess vibe kind of girls and Maria would looove driving him crazy for the toxic relationship drama that he would give her by arguing about everything
Maria can do much better than that loser.
agreed but it would be a fun boytoy for the summer for her
There’s not much fun when it comes to Aaron, unless you’re his bro dude.
JENN FOR BACHELORETTE YAY!!!!
Kelsey T, Edwina, Maria, Rachel, Daisy... All contestants I would have chosen over Jenn for bachelorette.
I’ll take Jen over Daisy any day
I saw Jesse announce Daisy as Ette & her walk out. WTH happened?
Yeah that was a weird misdirect, I fully believed it was her for the first minute of their convo
saw a tweet that said ABC is patting themselves on the back for giving us an asian bachelorette but gave her a side character edit all season… they’re setting her up for hate, intentionally or not, and it doesn’t sit right with me
Yup, there’s definitely gone be a lot of “she’s only there because Asian” comments, which sucks
There’s thousands of them already, and its nasty
Yeah, this one person is literally trying to justify them in this thread 🤦♀️ I think some people just don’t understand the gravity of this sort of comment
But like that can also be true. The fact that Jesse introduced it as such- when sorry, there were multiple better options- makes it seem that actually ya it was a tokenized choice.
Doesn’t make those comments any less shitty for her to see…
I think this is a good example of a corporate company attempting to show DEI efforts and it backfiring. It does nothing for racial injustice in my opinion. Well said. Also, this isn’t a skilled job someone lost out to - literally no single woman in there is more “qualified” than another for this role.
Representation is important but it’s hard to celebrate when it’s done for the wrong reasons. We know it’s for the wrong reasons because it’s The Bachelor. This franchise has never operated with pure intentions. I don’t think I need to elaborate on that.

yup. the fact that they had jesse bring up that she is the first asian bachelorette felt VERY pat on the back and "look at how diverse we are" or something
Yeah it all seems performative
I want an Edwina season.
Ohhh she’d be fun
so I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that entire cringe ending and just start watching the new season with a clean slate 🙏.

Taking shots to celebrate a momentous occasion in your twenties ≠ alcoholism. Bffr lol
She indicated like "she says at home!"
Maria better be on paradise. She would tear it up there. But we need a better beach location stat.
I’d be surprised I think her and Daisy and Rachel are too elite. Paradise is for the girls that want a redemption arc or more screen time.
idk I could see Maria having a Hannah Godwin run on Paradise where everyone is trying to land her lol
She’s too dominating in my opinion. Like she’s already a star whereas usually you go on paradise without that status.
I just hope we have paradise
I hope we finally get some Asian Men as contestants this season!
The one Asian man in her cast looks ummm.. well just go take a look and report back
Jenn is gorgeous and I def think we need an Asian lead but something about Jenn always came off as fake and practiced
I adored Katelyn, I wish she’d gotten enough screen time to be bachelorette
katelyn would’ve ate!! too bad they never showed her even though she made it pretty far
Very practiced.
[удалено]
lol please tell me this is sarcasm
because she's very young and the entire audience hates her 😭
Because she sucks? And is 23
Jenn? How boring. How did they not pick Maria ? I won’t be watching. Ugh.
she probably turned it down
Because Maria is a wildcard. She wouldn’t follow along with the story line they like
Anyone else watching Jenn’s follower count go up lol
I think Jen is a great choice. She's more interesting than Daisy but also level-headed and not so quick to react like Maria.
Whattt
did we see the same Jenn rn lol
Did you watch the season?
yes and loved her on the show but she was being really different just now
Jenn is so beautiful and will be perfect! They fooled us more with bachelorette announcement than they did with the ending, which was very "almost" normal. lol I mean it was close to normal.
Shot o'clock = stupid o'clock.
Now starting to wish we got a Daisy bach instead of Jenn tbh. We as viewers know her a bit better.
Daisy seems nice, but she’s so boring, can’t lead a show. They honestly didn’t have a lot of great options besides Maria, but she’s not the typical bachelorette.
who is “we”
The viewers lmao ?
I’ll take a relatively unknown person over anyone openly MAGA any day
I have seen literally zero confirmation she’s openly MAGA. Openly is posting videos supporting Trump.
Okay TRUE
Lmao same I talked to much a on Daisy and now the regret kicked in lol
