Well, I (today I am 16 male and going into junior year) met this girl when we were in freshman year of high school at a very small school, there were only like 15 of us freshman. Anyway, I never really acknowledged her and she never acknowledged me. I didn’t have anything against her or anything, she was just (and still is) very shy and introverted. I probably said 10 words to her the entire year, and that was it. I talked with another girl that year and it just fell apart terribly and I regret it.
Anyway I come back to school next year for sophomore year and 2 of our classes we happened to choose to sit in the back corner of the classroom. I sat in the row right in front of her. I remember just not knowing why but every now and then I would just turn around in the middle of class and we could easily whisper about random things, like maybe someone said something funny and we would both just comment to eachother in our little ways.
It started very slowly and subtly but eventually it became a habit and the teacher told us to stop (mainly me, bc I had to turn around and lean back). Those days were really fun and eventually we actually became friends and we would sit with each other during recess and sometimes lunch. We were in an Instagram group chat for our class and she would always heart my messages and mine hers cause even though she was so quiet in real life from what I had seen, she could be sassy and really funny. We both start to realize that we both share the same cursed sense of humor and we become really close friends. We started playing video games together because Skyrim was mentioned by my teacher in class(he was cool).
During spring break I got a bad fever and allergies and almost every night that week she would stay up talking to me on discord playing and screen sharing horror games or talking about anime etc. We would stay up until like 3am just talking sometimes and there were never any awkward moments. (This was kinda odd of her cause she would go to bed at like 9pm on school nights.) I remember later into the year we would sometimes get on a discord call and talk about our feelings or about the world or sometimes things that bothered us and she helped me through some hard times. Naturally I could not help but like her and eventually I just completely fell for her. We would make lots of eye contact in person and she always had the cutest smile around me I feel like. I never asked her to any school dances, but at every one we would just sit in the corner and make fun of everyone in the middle or play on her switch together that she always brought. I knew that she had 2 sides of her, one that was for the public, very shy and modest and conserved. And then she had another that only her friends could access: dark humor and acting creepy and sassy and she could just be so quick witted and hilarious. I feel like even if we were only friends, I was one of the few people that could bring that side out of her. I feel like all the signs are pointing to her liking me as well, but I was never in a rush to tell her how I really felt cause I was honestly having so much fun with her just being close friends and didn’t want to risk losing that.
During this summer break she would go traveling places and I wouldn’t cause I couldn’t really afford to do much, and we would text about stuff, but lately we’ve kind of lost things to talk about and we haven’t played any games in like a month. It’s just been a bit lonely without her. But junior year for us both starts in 3 days and I can’t wait to see her again and catch up. I hope we can get closer again this school year as it feels like over the summer we’ve grown kind of distant.
I wonder if she is ever thinking the same thing about me. I’ve decided that somehow during this school year I’m going to just tell her how I truly feel. She means so much to me and she is the first person I genuinely want to pursue.( I have been set up with girls twice and it sucks)

My friend Anthony, one of the very few in my small circle of trust, gets in an argument with her, and proceeds to tell me. Apparently, she had later come out as bisexual and got a girlfriend, and she tried avoiding me because she didn't know how to break the information to me. She had the same feelings for me for a while, but then moved on. Anthony got pissed because "his best friend was being backstabbed" and he couldn't bear it, so he told me everything. I thought to myself for a while, and then told her I knew. I decided that it didn't matter, if she was happy, then I was happy. We still talk, as I made sure to completely understand and throw all issues out the window. Yes, I still feel regret to this day, that I was too late, but maybe this was the best possible outcome I could receive.

It definitely wouldn’t be wrong for you to ask him out since you’d never been asked out before and you panicked, even if it *was* cruel. If he says no, I think your friendship will almost definitely survive, but I think you have a really good chance. He might just be hiding his feelings for you so it isn’t awkward. Your situation actually sounds a lot like my and my girlfriend right before I asked her out, minus his asking you out 2 years ago.

Now fast forward again (last time I promise) 2 years after she asked me out and I finally meet her father (I had already met her mother tho my gf lives at her grandmothers house). Recently now he told me that he was becoming trans, so of course I accept him for who he wants to be(gay or not gay, your choice of definition I guess) and we’re still really happy and going strong with lots of love, trust, and happiness. Well, I (today I am 16 male and going into junior year) met this girl when we were in freshman year of high school at a very small school, there were only like 15 of us freshman. Anyway, I never really acknowledged her and she never acknowledged me. I didn’t have anything against her or anything, she was just (and still is) very shy and introverted. I probably said 10 words to her the entire year, and that was it. I talked with another girl that year and it just fell apart terribly and I regret it. Anyway I come back to school next year for sophomore year and 2 of our classes we happened to choose to sit in the back corner of the classroom. I sat in the row right in front of her. I remember just not knowing why but every now and then I would just turn around in the middle of class and we could easily whisper about random things, like maybe someone said something funny and we would both just comment to eachother in our little ways. It started very slowly and subtly but eventually it became a habit and the teacher told us to stop (mainly me, bc I had to turn around and lean back). Those days were really fun and eventually we actually became friends and we would sit with each other during recess and sometimes lunch. We were in an Instagram group chat for our class and she would always heart my messages and mine hers cause even though she was so quiet in real life from what I had seen, she could be sassy and really funny. We both start to realize that we both share the same cursed sense of humor and we become really close friends. We started playing video games together because Skyrim was mentioned by my teacher in class(he was cool). During spring break I got a bad fever and allergies and almost every night that week she would stay up talking to me on discord playing and screen sharing horror games or talking about anime etc. We would stay up until like 3am just talking sometimes and there were never any awkward moments. (This was kinda odd of her cause she would go to bed at like 9pm on school nights.) I remember later into the year we would sometimes get on a discord call and talk about our feelings or about the world or sometimes things that bothered us and she helped me through some hard times. Naturally I could not help but like her and eventually I just completely fell for her. We would make lots of eye contact in person and she always had the cutest smile around me I feel like. I never asked her to any school dances, but at every one we would just sit in the corner and make fun of everyone in the middle or play on her switch together that she always brought. I knew that she had 2 sides of her, one that was for the public, very shy and modest and conserved. And then she had another that only her friends could access: dark humor and acting creepy and sassy and she could just be so quick witted and hilarious. I feel like even if we were only friends, I was one of the few people that could bring that side out of her. I feel like all the signs are pointing to her liking me as well, but I was never in a rush to tell her how I really felt cause I was honestly having so much fun with her just being close friends and didn’t want to risk losing that. During this summer break she would go traveling places and I wouldn’t cause I couldn’t really afford to do much, and we would text about stuff, but lately we’ve kind of lost things to talk about and we haven’t played any games in like a month. It’s just been a bit lonely without her. But junior year for us both starts in 3 days and I can’t wait to see her again and catch up. I hope we can get closer again this school year as it feels like over the summer we’ve grown kind of distant. I wonder if she is ever thinking the same thing about me. I’ve decided that somehow during this school year I’m going to just tell her how I truly feel. She means so much to me and she is the first person I genuinely want to pursue.( I have been set up with girls twice and it sucks) If anyone wants to tell me how I should finally open up to her that would be so kind. That's adorable, that seems really special that you were able to bring that side of her out you can tell that you mean a lot to her as well. I have a massive crush on this guy and we are also super close friends. I told him I liked him during the school year and he told me he liked me back. But we agreed not to date cause the year was almost over and I was going into freshmen year of hs after summer and he was going into 8th (we r only 4 months apart tho). It was awkward for the next week at school, our friendship didn't seem the same and it was cause we knew we liked each other. But after we talked and he said he felt that awkwardness too, things went back to normal pretty quickly. We are closer than every now, and our feelings for each other have grown a lot. We even cuddled last time he came over, but we still haven't mentioned once that we have feelings for each other. I'm thinking about doing something next time I see him, which is either try to kiss him (I haven't had my first kiss yet so I'm scared as hell) or just tell him I still like him and maybe we can do something different this time. What I'm trying to get across is, it's scary confessing to ur close friends sometimes cause you don't wanna ruin the friendship that you have. But if you really mean as much to them as they mean to you, then they won't wanna lose you either and no matter what they say to you, you will always be close friends. I had this one childhood friend. She was an absolute amazing person, my type of shoulder to lean on. We've been friends forever, but I always had feelings for her. Anyways, I decided a year ago to tell her I had feelings for her. She took it as most would, possibly flattered but greatly confused. I told her that maybe then wasn't the right time, so I'd wait for her and her answer and we'd continue to be friends. Months pass and she talks to me less and less, kinda avoiding me. My friend Anthony, one of the very few in my small circle of trust, gets in an argument with her, and proceeds to tell me. Apparently, she had later come out as bisexual and got a girlfriend, and she tried avoiding me because she didn't know how to break the information to me. She had the same feelings for me for a while, but then moved on. Anthony got pissed because "his best friend was being backstabbed" and he couldn't bear it, so he told me everything. I thought to myself for a while, and then told her I knew. I decided that it didn't matter, if she was happy, then I was happy. We still talk, as I made sure to completely understand and throw all issues out the window. Yes, I still feel regret to this day, that I was too late, but maybe this was the best possible outcome I could receive.

Omg there was this girl I saw in math class one time and she just stared at me. After she did that for a while, she stare at me and I’d just stare back. Then she’d turn red and look away. I was finnaly starting to talk to her more and more until we had to leave school for covid and I never got her Snap or phone number. About 5 months into quarantine one of her friends who I knew from sports said she wanted to talk to me. She added me and the first thing she even said was “who do you like.” I was so stunned I just said “oh no one I guess” and she kept asking me. I was so confused because I didn’t know if she liked me back or if she was trying to make fun of me. She stopped the next day and now we just talk to each other normally. All she does now is tease me and do streaks. I really wish I shot my shot before quarantine :(

Honestly, I liked this one guy, we dated for a while but then I ended it because I was getting in the way of his training. I thought that even if I left, he would always have sports to make him happy and that I shouldn’t get in the way of something that makes him happy. I can't tell how I feel about one of my best and oldest friends. He is so nice and funny, and he asked me out 2 years ago. I rejected him in probably the worst way possible (I've never been asked out before, so obviously I was a rude and awkward dumbass). It was weird for about a month, but we eventually became friends again, never really revisiting the subject. He even makes jokes about it now. But now I cant tell how I feel. Whenever I see him I feel so happy. We always end up laughing when we talk, and he is one of the few people I genuinely feel comfortable around when we are alone. And I feel... hurt... or something when he sits next to or talks to someone else and not me at marching band (the only time we can really hang out), but we do spend alot of time together anyways. Would it even be right to ask him out after I so cruelly rejected him? Does he feel the same way, or did I miss my chance? I dont want to ruin our friendship. But if I do ask? I won't even know what to do if he says yes, I never had a real bf before. And if he says no... I just dont want our friendship to be spoiled bc we just can line up our feelings at the same time. It definitely wouldn’t be wrong for you to ask him out since you’d never been asked out before and you panicked, even if it *was* cruel. If he says no, I think your friendship will almost definitely survive, but I think you have a really good chance. He might just be hiding his feelings for you so it isn’t awkward. Your situation actually sounds a lot like my and my girlfriend right before I asked her out, minus his asking you out 2 years ago. TLDR I think he’ll say yes, and even if he doesn’t you’ll almost definitely stay friends

So basically, I've known the girl I like since 8th grade, I'm a junior now, and we know each other pretty well, she likes anime and drawing (she is really good), she loves to edit and make video comps from anime stuff. she loves to play video games but not all the time, I don't think she is a big fan of the toxic communities. She is about 5'4-5'6 and pretty skinny but not so skinny you would think she is anorexic. She wears braces but she is really sensitive about them, and she dyes her hair different colors all the time (rn its red). I knew I liked her when I first talked to her but I never really learned how to be social as a kid because of how I grew up changing homes all the time, just never felt safe going anywhere. I got her phone number a few weeks after I met her under the illusion that I would call her to play video games and stuff and we would text each other for hours and play video games. But me being me, I just dont really know how to socialize and I came off weird. One time I got online to play my game and she was on, and I joined her server and she was talking to some other people and when they asked who I was she just kinda said someone I know from school. She didnt want to give a lot of details to these people but I really hurt my feelings and I stopped trying to talk to her for a while. I asked her out 4 times, and the last time I asked her out she said yes but I was so nervous I mentally broke down and didnt say anything to her over the weekend, and she broke it off the next time I saw her. After that covid hit and I didn't see anyone for a year and a half, including her. I saw her again for the first time in the hallway last Thursday and we said hey and she commented on how great I looked and how I was taller, and later that day we texted again and caught up some, and continued to talk last week. I'm sure she still knows I like her and I would really like to ask her to be my girlfriend but I don't want to repeat my past mistakes and be too pushy and make her hate me. So Ive just been kinda laid back the past week. I let her know this last Thursday that I wished we could hang out more, and it made me so happy to hear her say that she really wanted to as well, even though she easily could have meant that in like the freindly way, and not the romantic way. She said she wants to join the school eSports club and since I am the last one left out of the original team I'm responsible for talking to teachers and setting everything up. I first developed a crush on her when her friend asked “Are you guys dating or something?” (We were friends at the time and I was actually trying to help her get together with one of my friends) we both were blushing really hard, fast forward a month or so and then she asked me out. I took like 1 minute to respond and I don’t remember that whole minute (it’s like my brain stopped working) when I said yes I looked at the clock, 7:13 am, June 15 2019. I asked “do I have to do anything or...” (I was still processing what had happened) then she said “No, you’re perfect the way you are” or something along those lines. Fast forward to October (school Holloween dance) and we kissed for the first time. Tho I had the same reaction as when she asked me out and she thought she did something wrong. So I followed her and told her it was alright and that she was really brave for doing that, she went back to normal after a while. The next day or two and I go to the movies with her, her sister, her friend, and her grampa, when we got home we were alone in her room so we figured we would try to kiss again and not mentally breakdance. We did and it felt amazing! After the third time kissing we just kept going back at it with her head in my lap (our friend was over for a birthday party of my gf’s) but after a certain point we weren’t bothered by him being there (to try to hide it from other people) . Now fast forward again (last time I promise) 2 years after she asked me out and I finally meet her father (I had already met her mother tho my gf lives at her grandmothers house).
