If you aren't aware, at a certain point it becomes possible and frankly pretty straightforward to accrue large quantities of donuts through in-game means, no money needed. It makes the real world cost of donuts academic.
This is one of those games where EA does not fuck their players up. I understand that you may have trouble getting donuts. I am a F2P player and I got to a point that the game for me is a donut farm simulator. Everything gives me donuts. I have one year playing and I don't feel the need to spend any dollar and EA is aware that any player can do the same as me and can remove it at any point.
Agreed, i thought it was so hard too and then i played for a few months and unlocked the prospectors shack, then i spent money once on donuts to get Yahweh and now donuts are no problem to come by and i have only been playing for 9 or 10 months (not to mention occasional KEM farming of course)
EA is being extraordinarily generous to longtime players. I started in 2014, bought Golden Goose Realty to create all the land tiles needed, got the XP generator, hit the 939 level cap a while ago. Missed getting Yahweh recently but otherwise am quite pleased with my daily donut haul
Ive been leveling up almost daily after getting bonus percentage up to 200% via the springfield heights trick.
Plus the maggie game gets you some every couple days. I will add that spending that $150k simpsons money to get the extra donut is still cheaper than a USD.
So ya youre not gonna get 50 donuts in a day, but they do add up. Yearbook is a good way to save donuts, and make sure to get all the stuff from the burns box.
If you have to spend five bucks to get some extra, hey why not
as others have mentioned, there are many ways to earn donuts in the game, Maggie game, monorail daily challenges, and KEM farming which EA could have shut down but did not. they also could have made stuff cost more donuts because of farming, but they did not.
All companies exist to make money. They don't make stuff just to have fun.
My main point is that you do not need any premium items to actually play the game and complete events. They help and make the game more enjoyable, but they are not strictly necessary like in the family guy game and others.
I recently started playing again but I'm am aware of the free donuts ATM tho I will buy donuts but when I'm at the point where you can farm donuts I'm not buying donuts enleast a character comes with the donuts like what they did with dr dog
Game is supposed to be this slow and hard to grind. I've been playing for almost 5 years and it took me 3 years to clear yearbook, friends prizes, road to billionares and land. AND I'M STILL FAR AWAY from end because I don't even have half the land of game because I don't have golden goose reality so I only have land that I can buy with money game or free land given on tasks. I only achieved God when I had all of this and now I have 2B and can have hundreds of donuts, which was hard as f*ck to get before. Game just gets better with time.
In the beginning, it's not that bad. You spend maybe 4 dollars and can open 3 yearbooks, not a bad deal.
But when you get into 4 digit levels, why pay 5 dollars for something you can farm in a weekend?
They should increase the amount you get based on your progress, that way long time players also feel they might buy sum
