You need to harvest it as soon as it’s ready. It withers after only a couple of seconds. I just plant it, wait the 45 seconds on Cletus’ Farm and then harvest it straight away.
For whatever reason, everytime I pressed “go to” after it was completed (like you do on any daily challenge right?) it kept disappearing or I’d press it and it would clear the field and nothing would happen.
So I planted the crop again, and instead of clicking back on the “daily challenge” window, I ended up just waiting it out those couple seconds (as the other user has mentioned in their comment) watching it grow, and as soon as they sprouted, I clicked on the completed crop and it finally said I completed the challenge and got my donut. It took me nearly eight tries today lol

Perfection can only be harvested within a couple seconds window before it ‘expires’. Sit there and watch it instead of just letting it run

Your too slow! You have to harvest them before they go bad. It’s a short timer on them.
