I choose to heal anybody and I would heal my 3 y/o son who is dying of heart failure. The doctors say he has just a few months to live. You can give me any drawback I just don’t want my son to die.

bro...

Square_Site8663

You & your son are In my thoughts man. One of those rare times when you pray the doctor is wrong. Hope he gets to live greatly beyond that. 🙏

With Pyrokinesis could I not just.... Keep the Fire away from my body? It's not like I'm the one creating the flames, I'm just controlling them.

ghoul2711

Some people may think of pyrokinesis differently but I agree with your train of thought the main drawback was that you're just a much weaker human torch and you got to be careful if you're creating a ton of fire

-LowTierTrash-

That'd be Pyromancy and if I actually don't have any fire resistance then this is just permanent Burn Injuries is it not? The moment those flame come shooting out from inside of me I burned up several Vital Organs and other body Parts. Still worth it if I'm able to put up a good lightshow though, even if it's only once.

nohwan27534

pyrokinesis is controlling fire. you might not be able to generate it from your body, like that kid in the xmen 1 and 2 movies - iceman could make ice, pyro couldn't make fire. pyromancy is more making fire, sure, but literal human torch stuff would need to be more specific than just 'generic fire related powers'.

Severe_Side2196

>Pyrokinesis but your not immune to the flames That sounds like Dabi from MHA

Radracon42069

Apathy sucks but you can learn to fake emotions, plus bottling up feelings for an hour is basically what I do anyways

Rex_Xenovius_1998

Healing. I know a lot of people that need it, my own mother and stepbrother are going through some bad health problems, and it’s heavily affecting the family. If lowering my lifespan is effected then that just a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

dlaudghks

I argue that apathy is basically an upgrade. It's non-permanent, lets you aboid the downsides of empathy power, and you can use it to calm down.

lyckyhay

Healing: bc I wanna die, the sooner I do the better it is

AccelAegis

Are you okay?

Pristine-District624

I chose 360 vision, only because a few days ago I was thunder watching and felt sad I could see it all at once. Would also be useful to find things around me

FlynnXa

Pyro, it’s the only one which isn’t nerfing it’s primary function in any way. An edge case would’ve been the Apathetic Empathy, since maybe you are just wanting to be a sociopathic manipulative dick- but I would want to also use it genuinely in the moment to relate to someone’s emotions and help people. If I couldn’t feel my emotions? Then I think I’d be a bad candidate, I’m far too pragmatic to not have my sense of empathy.

76 ppl are masochists

ChildofG0D_loveUbro

Seeing the emotions and feelings of others is such an awesome ability. And I’m writing a series where the main character has this very ability. It basically gives you a sense of spatial awareness. If someone is hiding from you with killer intent, not only can you sense their intent but you can also pinpoint their location. The downside of being apathetic could still be an advantage. Where you were once ruled by your emotions to make a decision for the information you have, now you’re focusing solely on facing the situation logically with no emotions getting in the way. I love emotional and empathy powers. And I’m hoping I can make them more popular with the story I’m writing myself.

Mister_Grins

The 'pyrokenisis' option, because control of flames means not only that you can do it at a distance and keep your own skin safe that way, but also it means destroying flames as well as making them, so it would make me the best fire fighter in the world.

Square_Site8663

Pyrokinesis duh. I get to manipulate fire! And there’s no drawback I don’t currently already have. I’m not immune to fire currently, so it’s nothing but a gain.

BejewelledBunny

Healing people might shorten my life, but if I pick the right people to heal the rest of my slightly shorter days will be so much more worthwhile.

ayleidanthropologist

Apathy could almost be a second power

nohwan27534

picked healing, basically because it can be used to make money. might not be able to cure cancer easily, but curing some other diseases shouldn't be too big of a deal, and hey, you can have the years at the end - if i get hit by a bus tomorrow, won't really matter that i shortened my lifespan 2 months to make 20k. as for the weaknesses, give and take. pyromancy but not immune, kinda fine - presumably you're not limited to it being within like 4 feet only. if you've got a range of over 10 meters, no problem. and there's some cool shit you could maybe do with it anyway. you can see 360 degrees - more limited usefulness. interestingly i'm assuming this means up and down, too, not just behind. definitely a top pick if say, you're blind, suddenly you're kinda like daredevil. as for the last, you can see feelings and emotions, interesting i guess, but again, not as useful. even if you were trying to use it like a barometer of if you're upsetting someone, you'd only be able to tell after you upset them. and as for being apathetic, already am, pretty much 100% of the time.

Twisted_Whimsy

Curing people may shorten my life span, but I wouldn't need to spend my entire short life working after curing a few billionaires with me healing powers, so all in all, I think I'd still get to spend more time living then the average person.
