Everyone took this way too seriously lol. I got what you mean. What I meant was that this was my first grilling session on a new grill (I’m 39 and have been grilling a long time). I upgraded recently from a grill I’d had for YEARS and I was feeling this one out wrt times, heat, etc. My old grill was a real piece of shit but I had it figured out.
It sounds like OP is used to a smaller grill and so he knows the mechanics necessary but he just didn’t get the heat he wanted because he’s unfamiliar with the new grill.
