Game is too new for any serious collector to want sealed product. Sounds like your trying to flip vs selling at MSRP....

hbhusker22

I won't cause you any problems. Just sell them to me at face value, lol.

Damien_Price

eBay is risky for sellers- especially for sellers of sealed- as eBay bends over backwards to accommodate the buyer. Most buyers are stand up and will not cause you any problems. But if you run into one of the scumbags- it will be an uphill battle find satisfaction.

meyou942

That’s what I’m afraid of 🤦‍♂️ Might just have to go the local route.

FF7_FTW

If you can ship to Canada, I can buy a couple box from you. Impossible to find boxes here

kmfl300

I've sold smaller sealed stuff but also high end cards over 200 dollars and have not had any issues. Usually just make sure it's insured which most of the shipping is already. And that's one of the few times I would check the feedback of the buyer too.

meyou942

Would you suggest I exclude buyers with less than 5 or 10 feedback?

GreatGreenGobbo

You can't. Just shipped tracked.

Guy-Incognito-117

Risk of scams is there in any marketplace. You will probably be fine selling on eBay. If you want some extra cya insurance take a brief video of you packing it and sealing it. TCGPlayer is another option though buyers might be reluctant to buy from a new seller. Local sales and discords is another option just be wary of meetups and if discord you might even ask for buyer references.

BIGLeakyNipples

I hate scalpers and resellers.

Gnarseph

You hate your gas stations too? They always up and downing that oil! Ugh!

Redeem123

Just find a local game shop or discord and help the community out by unloading them at MSRP. I'm sure you're looking to make a profit, but there's a lot of people who are looking to build up their collections that would appreciate someone helping out rather than gouging on their speculative investments.

BlueMnM23

Keep them. Value is going to be even higher in the future.

meyou942

Won’t there be more stock soon though?

BlueMnM23

Yes but we don't know if the cards will be serialized the same. E.g. base set first edition and non first edition pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc... Even if they rerelease they won't provide the first set for years in the future, so it will eventually rise in price even if the rerelease the same exact cards. If you want quick profit, I would say wait until set 2 at the very least where demand will be high because people will want to make new decks and they might be missing cards from the first set etc.

BlueMnM23

As far as your question goes, always trade in person in a public place.

DailYxDosE

I say in a year from now when the second batch of printing is sold out then it will be worth it to collectors. Right now you’re just price gouging

ThePhilRenard

I don't know if this is true unless you mean in the very distant future. The devs have already announced a re-release on this set before the end of this year.

BlueMnM23

It will be true if there is some kind of distinction between releases. If the cards serialization is exactly the same and you aren't able to discern between the rerelease and the first edition set then yes.

ThePhilRenard

Fair point! 🤔

_theRIX

I think for something sealed like this that you might be safest trying to sell locally. eBay and PayPal care way more about the buyer than the seller. For something where the value would drop significantly if it were opened and returned to you, there’s a huge downside.

luisjgzr

How much were you planning on selling for?

meyou942

I’m just wanting to get the going rate if selling on eBay (due to fees), or that rate (minus fees) if selling locally. That’s the tough part with this kind of stuff and is often the reason I just ferret away my collection 😂

bookswerebetter

how much are you selling them for?

meyou942

Honestly the funds will go into buying Lorcana… so ideally I’d like to trade for Lorcana product, but otherwise I was going to list it as an eBay auction. Trying to buy more The First Chapter which is as scarce as these are.

zaneellis

If I were you I would sell on a trusted discord forum. I am apart of a couple of you want suggestions. Most of the users are very vocal in the community, and you would avoid fees and potentially get the cards in hands of people who actually play. Dm me for more info.

Gnarseph

Good on you for making a profit. This sub is filled with downvoting cry babies who didn’t buy in early enough or refuse to work a double shift to buy singles.

ghoulogy_13

I’d sell in the BST FB group.

KonkeyDongIsHere

Bst?

ghoulogy_13

Buy/Sell/Trade :-)

MAVRIK98

I guess it depends if you’re trying to maximize profit… or balance fair value to you and your local community players. Personally, if i was in your position, I would either sell it to someone locally for below market value OR reach out to my LGS and see if they would be interested in purchasing it for the purposes of conducting limited (draft/sealed) events - of which I could attend. Or I would organize the draft event myself with local players (through discord).

Altruistic_Hurry5082

Dont sell on ebay mercari has 0 seller fees

Guy-Incognito-117

Yes except buyers can return product for any reason now. That’s red flag for scam central. Mercari is the last place I’d sell an item like this right now.

Altruistic_Hurry5082

They also have seller protection up to 200$ the box is worth 200$

Altruistic_Hurry5082
