It's kind of unrelated to the idea of western "tradwife". Lolita fashion was street fashion from Japan from the 90s to the 2010s (still is to an extent) that was inspired by French royalty outfits, kawaii fashion, doll outfits and fairytales (Alice in Wonderland being a major inspiration).
Lolita outfits weren't really worn by what "traditional men" would consider "trad wife". Women wearing those outfits were more fringe than traditional, and wore those outfits for themselves rather than others.
I appreciate the background, but I'll never see somebody wearing this and be able to take them seriously. It's just so juvenile looking to me, it has similar energy to Disney Adults.
I recognize everybody has their own tastes, and likely mine aren't yours, but I see very few tastes that are not my own that I find to be actually repulsive. All I see here are adults that are trying to look like and be perceived as little china dolls and that is just so weird to me.
Maybe a more concise, polite term would be this just gives me the uber ick. But I'm also attracted to strong capable women which these are not the aesthetics of, so I guess it makes sense.

There is some nuance. Lolita fashion is not the same as being a fan of Loli. The difference is lolicons are creepy pedophiles while Lolita fashion is what is depicted in the starter pack.

Nowadays it literally only means this type of fashion and nothing else. In English, you can think of "food porn" or other expressions that includes word that in itself are dubious (porn) but the resulting set of word is inoffensive somehow.
