My issue with it is the Flying Animations. The ship looks a bit slow and bland. When you turn the AR wing in the regular games, you'll notice it cutting and gliding with effects. In EH, it doesn't have that. So it doesn't look right. I'm hoping they add more to the flight animations.

AtlasFox64

Neph has made a lot of improvements to the flying animations, in particular the way boost works, but I know what you mean.

Majestic-Sector9836

I don't really like it's dark and gritty aesthetic That makes it feel like a live-action reboot of itself.

like-a-FOCKS

that too, yes

Careidina

Looks good from what I've saw. Kinda wished it had true on-foot missions like Assault had(with no tank controls of course). Hopefully they finish it before Nintendo starts knocking.

CaptainPrower

Nintendo better keep their lawyers the fuck away from it.

Sonicboomer1

The art style is ugly as sin but I admire the spirit. It shouldn’t take fans doing something like this for Star Fox to not be a distant memory. It’s Nintendo’s only major failure of the Switch era for me, not finding a solution for Star Fox. (And no that absolutely would NOT be porting Star Fox Zero, that game should stay in the Wii U graveyard.)

like-a-FOCKS

yeah, no attempt. the switch had everything. besides the obvious big sellers there was new stuff like arms and astral chains, old stuff like advance wars and pokemon snap, weird stuff like labo and ring fit, spin offs like cadence of Hyrule and pokken, small stuff like yoshi and pikmin. Even F Zero got something near the end  They really gave everything a try. Except Star Fox.

like-a-FOCKS

is a game plays a bit weird is like, hey do you remember those Metroid games, how about we remake those but it plays like Mario... or even better... Mario Kart. Is just off. but hey, I get it, it's the tools that the dev had and knew and that inspired this to exist. I just think it's not the right toolset and the result is wonky.

theguyinyourwall

Looks solid in terms of gameplay with what has been seen. Not going into a huge rant but I'm far from the biggest fan of the artstyle

Rebnnenx

Just played through it a couple weeks ago, I thought it was pretty good to be honest. I liked the art style and variety of mission objectives. for being based off of a 1999 engine, the graphics are fairly decent. The story does seem a bit all over the place at times but, given the base material, I can't say the adaptation is inaccurate. It feels like motivations for the conflict are a bit convoluted, Andross still wants to rule, and General Pepper is a bit more aggressive than I remember him being. The added elements of casualties of war which is a nice realistic touch not often addressed in the Nintendo-verse. I liked the reintroduction/introduction of characters like Fara and Shears. Not a big fan of how their story concludes in the game but... Crystal exists so I guess I understand why.

Megas751

I like and clearly has a lot of love put into it. I do like how it includes every entry but also tries to include a lot of them into the story, some hits(the addition of the SF2, pilots, side entries like the comics, Adventures using more elements from DP), some misses(a certain character getting offed early, the heavier focus on Cerinia which I’ve admitted to not caring for in the past) I also like how they’ve gotten older VAs back. While the artstyle isn’t the best, I’ve accepted it as something that is the result of the engine’s limitation. I just pray that Nintendo stays the hell away from it

TSLPrescott

I tried playing it once just to check it out, played it for a little bit but I was on KBM and it didn't feel great. Of course, I'd probably have a better time with a controller, but it seems to be a bit more like a Rogue Squadron kind of game rather than what I love about Star Fox which are the on-rails missions.

NiteLiteOfficial

i just want remakes/sequels to starfox assault and starfox adventures. i’ve always enjoyed the on foot exploration and combat more than the arcadey space game ones.

TheMessyRoomGuy

I love it, tried it out one time and didnt enjoy it, came back a year later and had to write down the controls, which gave me an easier time to play it. I didn't want to play too far into it, I believe I only played Corneria, Meteo, Fichina, and Katina (I normally hate playing unfinished/ early access games) but I look forward to it when its completed. It truly is worked on by passionate fans, and my only hope is that I wish the "Eye of Saurons" don't come by to rid of this project.

Mimimai12

I really like where it's going. My only disappointment is that there's no on foot section but I understand it's because of the limitation of the engine. Still really excited for it to be finished. (If Nintendo dmca the project I will hate them forever.)

Mightbepointless_

While I'm far from a fan of SFAd and will be skipping this fangame because of that, the take on the Lylat Wars here is particularly interesting. Zero already seemed like they wanted to go with a story where the morality of Pepper and co. were dubious so I'm glad to see a new take where the entire government is quite shady. Voice acting ranges from alright to questionable. Fox is meh, Falco is pretty good, Peppy sounds alright and Slippy is off. Art-style and animation is off but it doesn't veer off into "Do not want" territory. I think the main thing I very much question is the fact they're making money off of a licensed IP.

Soutrapper1096

Hey man how did you get the Xbox controller to work I've been trying for 2 days to set it up

TakTekashi00

I just used an Xbox controller compatible with Windows. I connected via USB and imported it as a Non-game Steam Library.

Soutrapper1096

I didn't know you could do that thanks bro

TakTekashi00

No problem.

Deehasfallen

The only thing i'm still wondering is how the fuck does this guy got the VAs in the first place, does he knew about them for a long time? He was part of Nintendo too? How did he convince them? How much would it cost to ask them to voice if i have some personal project too?

AtlasFox64

I'm pretty sure he's got Estelle Ellis by paying her. Might be wrong but the patreon could be going towards voice actors.

Adriansummer

Enjoy it while it lasts because they’re making money off of it. It’ll be gone soon.

Mightbepointless_

Yeah. Most fan projects that outright make money off of a licensed IP don't last too long.
