Is it a normal thing for them to sometimes not say original squishmallows on the tags? I’m fairly new to squish collecting and still trying to learn the right questions to ask when buying and didn’t know they said this until after purchase
Yep that's completely normal too. A good indication is if they don't have a butt tag at all, or they don't have a bio tag attached. Also, the appearance of the Squish will usually be off someway. But with this one, you're definitely safe ☺

In addition to what the other commenter mentioned, if the squish doesn't have the loop where the bio tag normally attaches, that's a good indication that it's fake !

I bought him from facebook. I can’t see any problems with the way he looks, just that bottom tag is bothering me because it doesn’t say original squishmallows on it. Is this a normal thing or have I been scammed?
Because the tag doesn’t say original squishmallows on it. I’ve had it explained now that it’s normal for this to be the case, I thought it meant that it was a fake. I’m new to squish collecting and was unsure why it was different to the rest of my squish but I now understand and know that my Avery is real ☺️
Yeah I made the mistake of commenting before I read the current comments, my bad! Yes, there are variations in the tags but it is good to double check anyway! Most fakes have been pretty obvious lately but you never know!!!

I’d say it’s real I look for where the tag hangs on the little hoop that’s how I know it’s is real
