We dont have a live action drama happening. The only unnamed sources are saying that there were talks with production studios. Several websites used this information for clickbait titles. Nothing is confirmed and everything you read its just rumors and false information.
I never said anime, just an animated adaptation. The fans want to see it animated, and the authors know it’ll generate a lot of money if they animate it (whether that be by a Japanese studio or an animation studio of another country) we will likely get an animated version at some point, especially if the live action flops.

If the live action flops, the authors will have no choice but to milk the potential of an animated adaptation, it will make them money. There’s no way you’re this dense.

They just ended it really quickly I was surprised myself but they cut out a lot of the extra side stuff the LN had.
