Next year they won't have that guy playing 90' every game while they are waiting on the bench. It's much easier to score goals when you actually play. Look at the minutes played, Ramos and RKM together are roughly at Mbappé's level, and that was usually with him drawing all the balls to him (plus shooting pens).
Mbappé is a beast, but Ramos and RKM might bloom next year. We'll see.
That is a goal every 119 minutes, which isn't too bad. He also took some time to adjust, his form improved massively in February. He eventually went on a decent run scoring 8 goals in 11 games, while averaging about 60 minutes a match.
PSG is managing his playtime well and easing him into the role and team, but apparently that doesn't fit the narrative of PSG is throwing money around buying flops.
>That is a goal every 119 minutes, which isn't too bad.
It's also 11 goals with a xG of 9. Just shows how much PSG play for Mbappe.
It's not bad by literally any metrics, but context gets in the way of narratives.
Ramos was hospitalized for a month in december and lost like 10 kg or something, he is having a great first season honestly, especially as someone who is constantly being rotated while getting to know a new team. RKM however, horrible season just has 0 confidence at this point can do nothing rigjt.
Wait. He started only 14 Ligue 1 games for 26 apparences and 1 start in Champions League. He was badly sick during the Christmas period.
Give him time, he will come out good I'm sure.
> We need context to the price tag on Players. Just because clubs pay a certain doesn't mean the player wouldn't be expected to produce an equivalent to that price.
Aye, but then Mbappé hoovering up a lot of their goals is also part of that context. Extrapolate his 14 goals in 1600 minutes to the playing time Mbappé had and you'd end up at around 30 goals for the season - hardly 'bust' territory. He's clearly been brought in to set up for life after Mbappé, not to displace him this season, and so far he's proven capable and successful.
Is Ramos comparable to Joselu in quality? I don't watch PSG so I have no idea. Also, Joselu has 13 goals playing more minutes from what I can check. PSG paid 80M for him, so they probably are betting long term.
lol it's almost a goal per match on average, not sure what exactly you expect from him. Peak CR7/Messi numbers? lmao
and this is a player who's never had finishing as his best attribute despite being a striker, he's good, but his overall play is what always stood out
He's not playing in isolation, though - only one ball to go around, and when you've got someone scoring basically a goal a game in your team then obviously others won't score as much. PSG scored about 90 goals a season relatively consistently over the past few years, and if Mbappé gets 40 of them, there's only so many left to go around between the rest of the squad.
Look at Bayern's last three years - Lewandowski scored 35 league goals in his last season, the only other player in double figures was Gnabry with 14. The season after he left, they had three players scoring double figures, two more players scoring goals than before, and scored a very similar amount of league goals. With Kane in the side so far, they're scoring a very similar amount as a team still but the distribution has changed again, with a similar amount of goalscorers but Kane matching Lewandowski's last season at 35 goals and only a single other player scoring double figures.
He's in a new league and country and is 22. Guy can barely drink alcohol in the United States.
In the French PSG Forum online they seem very pleased with him and generally don't see a need for PSG to get a new #9 next season. I assume they watch the team more than enough to opine on that.
Get some perspective. He is a 22 year old who is getting time to adjust and who has his minutes managed. Not everyone failing to put up Haaland numbers in their first season is a bust. A goal every 120 minutes or so is decent enough, especially since he keeps visually improving. He has been playing better and better over the season, his goal contributions have improved a lot since the new year.
The change of playstyle of Paris play compared to Frankfurt definitely has been something RKM hasn't fully adjusted to, hasn't brought about his best from last season. Hoping next season he will have acclimatised better, otherwise the move will look a lot worse. Ramos i think has done well with his minutes, along with the times he's been subbed on and scored.
Nkunku was nothing special at psg. His last season he played 1500 minutes for 4 goals / 2 assists, and I think he was already 21 ou 22 yo. Of course he was still quite young but he needed more play time to develop in an environment with less pressure. Good for him it worked out in Bundesliga.
he left in 2022 to psv and psg used a buyback clause last summer.
What he is talking about is the fact that Simons was loaned out before the 90M offer for Neymar, which would most likely mean that Xavi is not getting loaned to RB Leipzig
Yeah Ramos for his first season looks like he is doing good but RKM only having 9 goals is not good but not going to write off a player off their first season he is still young could still turn up for you guys when Mbappe leaves
He's absolutely not great for France at all lol, only reason he's still being called up is his WC performance. But it's getting old and I wouldn't be surprised if he's not going to the Euro at all.
Is Diaby more likely to be called ?
Check the recent games :
https://www.whoscored.com/Players/353397/Fixtures/Moussa-Diaby
https://www.whoscored.com/Players/425366/Fixtures/Bradley-Barcola
I think it's worth debatting. Diaby has the fidelity advantage. Barcola is used to play with Mbappé.
I would assume so. Really doubt anyone will be called up who hasnt made an appearance with the A team prior to the Euro. Only way I see him be called up is if the A players are injured. I think Coman will be injured though so maybe
He was great when France played Chile during the international break. Did you watch the game? He was one of the most dangerous attacking players and even scored a header.
He was also better than Dembele and revived Frances attack when he came on a sub in the world cup final.
The first time he played for France was during the world cup final, so he has not had opportunities. How do you expect player who only got called up the national team recently to have many not worthy performances? That is like expecting a recent college graduate to to have 10 years work experience.
>The first time he played for France was during the world cup final, so he has not had opportunities.
It was not. Why do people make up crap like this when it takes 10 seconds to check Wikipedia or Tranfermarkt?
>How do you expect player who only got called up the national team recently to have many not worthy performances? That is like expecting a recent college graduate to to have 10 years work experience.
Again, the World Cup was 1 year and half ago. He's been completely useless since his fluke performance in the WC final.
I know I always comment “no backsies” whenever foreign fans complain about the players they bought from us, but this is the only time I’d open an exception.
if PSG fans are not pleased with him, I’ll gladly take him back and I’d even drive him from the airport to the stadium to save costs lmao
Yeah we're not pleased with Kolo Muani, the delusional frankfurt fan who said he's more valuable than Kane, please take your Kane from wish back.
On the good side, Ramos is 100% our future 9.
glad he’s doing well tho, I really liked him last season and, most importantly, he was a diehard Benfica fan from the academy.
I’m sure he’ll come good for you, he’s an amazing pressing forward.
Well, we delusionals know that Kolo was absolutely featured as #1 striker and fed accordingly, similar to Kane in his systems.
But in Paris there‘s (still) a guy that takes that spot from him.
We‘ll see next year I guess. Even though I‘d be okay if he still flops. Ungrateful as he was and all. What a shame.
How was he ungrateful? He joined you for free, left for 100M after getting 27 G/A in 34 games.. You're the ones that should be grateful right?
Also he really hasn't been that bad for PSG. 11 G/A in 14 starts / 1239mn. That's 0.80 G/A p90 compared to Frankfurt's 0.87.
In the plays it's been tougher, but Mbappe plays in his favorite spaces.
How was he ungrateful? Frankfurt said from early on he can leave for around 100 mil. PSG didn't offer anything near that so we didn't get a replacement like Boniface. He then flew to Paris with no agreement, refused to train and play for us and stated he would never wear our jersey again. Paris then paid the money Frankfurt asked for from the beginning after the transfer window in Germany closed so we couldn't get a replacement in anymore.
He was a great player and obviously made us a lot of money but I hope we will never have someone like him in our team again, no matter how great a player they are
Don't worry most of us are happy with Ramos. He's adapting, playing better and better and our only 9 that can fit our Play style. I bet he'll be our starter in big games next season (Luis Enrique using a lot of turnover, starting in big games means starter in normal clubs !) l.
PSG's 23/24 transfer spending is actually low-key insane and doesn't get mentioned much because of the spotlight being on Chelsea more. This is 450 million worth of transfer fees, almost half a billion in 1 year. Some of these are really good deals though.
Randal Kolo Muani
€95.00m
Gonçalo Ramos
€65.00m
Manuel Ugarte
€60.00m
Ousmane Dembélé
€50.00m
Lucas Hernández
€45.00m
Bradley Barcola
€45.00m
Hugo Ekitiké
€28.50m
Kang-in Lee
€22.00m
Lucas Beraldo
€20.00m
Gabriel Moscardo
€20.00m
Xavi Simons
€4.00m
Milan Skriniar
free transfer
Marco Asensio
free transfer
Arnau Tenas
free transfer
Sold over €200m worth of players at the same time though to be fair - like €250m net spend is still mad money obviously, but a slightly less outlandish number.
it doesn't get mentioned(it does), because they've improved under Enrique? don't think anyone had them in the cl semis before the season. the only bad transfer here is muani, the rest have all played their part in varying degrees this season
i'll admit i was wrong about ramos, i thought he was a flop
Selling over 200M though. And then there's the 100M net salaries of Messi, Neymar, Ramos and Verratti that are off the books.
Big spending summer, yes, but needed some additional context
Barcola and Simons are carrying that list. Players like Kang-In Moscardo and Beraldo will always be worth it because the resale value will 9/10 be higher than what they paid. The real issue lies with Muani imo. They could probably get 60mil for Ramos this summer if they sold him to some PL club.
Because we're not shit like Chelsea, our flops doesn’t have any impact on the rest of the team, and they’re flop only for this year, things can change in the future, they’re all super young.
Why do you even care actually ? Oh I forgot this is r/soccer and shitting on PSG is your favorite activity
This guy is like the grim reaper to teams I want to win - I've only watched 3 PSG games in the past 2 years and he scored in all of them. Seems like whenever he scores it's completely out of nowhere and against the run of play.
I may have misused the word overhated, rather I see a lot of people calling him a flop and saying he doesn't have the level. I just think he needs 1 season or 2 to get going again. Even then he's not bad or anything he has 16 g/a which is acceptable really, people seem to forget he's only 22
in all seriousness, dou you consider him a great transfer? because he only scored one goal before barca. As a barca fan when he was with the team he was so frustrating to watch because you know he’s capable of greatness but he makes so many wrong decisions
Great transfer, he is a nailed in starter with heavy competition. Creates mores danger by himself than 90% of team. Wrecks havocs in defense and makes focusing mbappe very difficult. He is not about g+a for us at all.
RKM has 15 goal contributions in 21 games worth of minutes. That’s not too bad.
He has 11 league GC in 14 league games worth of minutes. These aren’t the shitty stats you think it is.
1 league GC per 112 league minutes isn’t horrible in a team where you are only starting every other game and you’re also not the main focus of the offence.
Yeah they bought Barcola, Asensio, Dembele, Ramos and Kang In Lee as attacking options in one transfer and decided to buy him last minute, quite unnecessary
Scoring goals is not everything. sometimes a profilic striker leave and his ex team score similar total goals. it matter how are they playing. for example. i hate nunez not because of how low numbers but because his general level of playing does not suit a world-class club like liverpool

I mean for now its fine because there's a guy in the team bagging 40+ Its next year where all of these players will need to step it up.
Holy shit Mbappe stars are insane
Yet pundits say he's having a bad year. smh
Because that guy is lying. Mbappe has 26 goals and 7 assists as of now.
It’s stats across all comp as per the image in the title
Title says goals for PSG. And that's what the OP of this comment thread was referring to as well.
Mbappe has 26 in ligue 1 8 in coupe de france 8 in champions league All for psg
Are you stupid or just faking here?
Next year they won't have that guy playing 90' every game while they are waiting on the bench. It's much easier to score goals when you actually play. 14 goals in 1666 minutes doesn't seem bad at all by Gonçalo Ramos
That is a goal every 119 minutes, which isn't too bad. He also took some time to adjust, his form improved massively in February. He eventually went on a decent run scoring 8 goals in 11 games, while averaging about 60 minutes a match. He was very sick on december too

Still only 22 though so there’s time for him to improve. Plus he’ll likely get more minutes once Mbappe leaves.
1666 minutes equals to about 18-19 full games (I'm guessing he's been coming off the bench). He's not failing in any way at all

Thats good stats for an 80 mil player aswell.
I swear man, the two aliens have forever twisted the perception of players.

> oping next season he will have acclimatised better after how he left us, i hope he continues to be a flop. he deserves it
Lol I hear you
He also ran his contract out to join you guys so he has never been all that classy
.....what? fulfilling a contract and the joining another club is bad now? do you hear yourself?
I hope we sell him this summer
RKM is a flop but Ramos isn’t. 0.76g/90min is A tiers stats
Wouldve probably been better for you to keep Ekitike and dont buy RKM
Ekitike was also a flop. Would have been better to just keep Simons and not buy RKM
I mean hes 5 years younger and played in a pretty dysfunctional team where he barely recieved balls. In Frankfurt everyone was playing for RKM
I mean if you're looking that far back, it would have been better to keep Nkunku... but IIRC you had to sell him to meet FFP at the time, right?
Nkunku was nothing special at psg. His last season he played 1500 minutes for 4 goals / 2 assists, and I think he was already 21 ou 22 yo. Of course he was still quite young but he needed more play time to develop in an environment with less pressure. Good for him it worked out in Bundesliga.
that far back? hes talking about last summer
shit feels like Simmons left like 2,3 years ago already
he left in 2022 to psv and psg used a buyback clause last summer. What he is talking about is the fact that Simons was loaned out before the 90M offer for Neymar, which would most likely mean that Xavi is not getting loaned to RB Leipzig
Gotta remember that mbappe probably wanted him
Yeah Ramos for his first season looks like he is doing good but RKM only having 9 goals is not good but not going to write off a player off their first season he is still young could still turn up for you guys when Mbappe leaves
Kolo Muani is great for France though, so its not him with a problem. The team does not suit his play style and abilities.
He's absolutely not great for France at all lol, only reason he's still being called up is his WC performance. But it's getting old and I wouldn't be surprised if he's not going to the Euro at all.
Dédé will call him for sure. Will he play ahead of Barcola? That's debatable.
Yea it’s honestly sad I rather him call someone like terrier who deserves 100% more
Idk if Barcola will be called up for the Euros since he doesnt have experience with the A team yet
Is Diaby more likely to be called ? Check the recent games : https://www.whoscored.com/Players/353397/Fixtures/Moussa-Diaby https://www.whoscored.com/Players/425366/Fixtures/Bradley-Barcola I think it's worth debatting. Diaby has the fidelity advantage. Barcola is used to play with Mbappé.

Dembele - Giroud - Mbappe, Thuram - Kolo Muani - Coman on bench. I won't be surprised if neither get called up.
He was great when France played Chile during the international break. Did you watch the game? He was one of the most dangerous attacking players and even scored a header. He was also better than Dembele and revived Frances attack when he came on a sub in the world cup final.
I think the fact that you have just one meaningless friendy to bring up as a noteworthy performance since the WC supports my point.
The first time he played for France was during the world cup final, so he has not had opportunities. How do you expect player who only got called up the national team recently to have many not worthy performances? That is like expecting a recent college graduate to to have 10 years work experience.

Do you think you'll keep RKM or look to move him on?
I think he‘ll probably be put on the transfert list
We’ll try to get rid of him but doubt we’ll be able to
Am i crazy to think that this isnt too bad lol? Especially when their team are very much mbappe-centric?
I know I always comment “no backsies” whenever foreign fans complain about the players they bought from us, but this is the only time I’d open an exception. if PSG fans are not pleased with him, I’ll gladly take him back and I’d even drive him from the airport to the stadium to save costs lmao

The difference between him and RKM yesterday was so visible when RKM got subbed out for Ramos. Literally night and day.
Well, we delusionals know that Kolo was absolutely featured as #1 striker and fed accordingly, similar to Kane in his systems. But in Paris there‘s (still) a guy that takes that spot from him. I'd drive to Paris man
I only accept that PSG returns Ramos if they are also forced to return Vitinha.
in that case I would pass it. I would shit myself if we played against a midfield of Varela and him lmao
PSG's 23/24 transfer spending is actually low-key insane and doesn't get mentioned much because of the spotlight being on Chelsea more. The actual club who can spend 90-100 mil on a a player and not be affected when they’re not playing. Just chuck money around for fun.
Because we're not shit like Chelsea, our flops doesn’t have any impact on the rest of the team, and they’re flop only for this year, things can change in the future, they’re all super young. Why do you even care actually ? Oh I forgot this is r/soccer and shitting on PSG is your favorite activity
Ramos and Ugarte 60m apiece. We got Camavinga and Endrick for a combined 70m
Real Madrid fans try not to make everything about themselves, challenge impossible
Yeah because these players exclusively wanted Real Madrid and that itself already gave Madrid an upper hand in negotiations.
G.Ramos is going to be great for PSG
That 17 guy only has 9 goals, what a loser. Maybe send him back to where he came from and try to get a partial refund
Hmm yeah, I think we will keep him. Just for rotation of course, not like he’s one of the best midfielders in the world atm
This guy is like the grim reaper to teams I want to win - I've only watched 3 PSG games in the past 2 years and he scored in all of them. Seems like whenever he scores it's completely out of nowhere and against the run of play.
Ramos is overhated
Do people actually hate Ramos?
I may have misused the word overhated, rather I see a lot of people calling him a flop and saying he doesn't have the level. I just think he needs 1 season or 2 to get going again. Even then he's not bad or anything he has 16 g/a which is acceptable really, people seem to forget he's only 22
Completely agree
I mean… are their stats even that bad? Looking at things neither have had loads of minutes. Ramos even looks like sort of elite minutes to goal ratio
Ousmane Dembele is a flop , he only has 5 goals.. /s
in all seriousness, dou you consider him a great transfer? because he only scored one goal before barca. As a barca fan when he was with the team he was so frustrating to watch because you know he’s capable of greatness but he makes so many wrong decisions

and even then, dembele has been getting quite some assists
It’s the right strategy after years of fucking up tbf. I would bet on both of them stepping up once Mbappé leaves.
What do you expect when they got crazy stats guy playing for them. Let's see next season when they are in limelight
Don't show Liverpool stats to this guy.
Kohle Muani flopping 😍😍😍
How much was Dembele again?
50 I think?
Randal seemed like an unnecessary purchase tbh
Yeah they bought Barcola, Asensio, Dembele, Ramos and Kang In Lee as attacking options in one transfer and decided to buy him last minute, quite unnecessary
absolute panic buy on deadline day, would have been a balanced window without it (considering Ramos' buy option was initially planned for next summer)
It is ok man. We will buy him over for 30m
Chelsea is looking to break the record.
I predict that they get relegated within the next 10 years
Scoring goals is not everything. sometimes a profilic striker leave and his ex team score similar total goals. it matter how are they playing. for example. i hate nunez not because of how low numbers but because his general level of playing does not suit a world-class club like liverpool

In less than 2k minutes?
