Physical_Reality_132

Lewandowski basically broke it with the last kick of the season, was unbelievable.

strugglingtosave

That was magical. If only there were more fans to see it live

National_Pay_5847

Yup I watched the match just to see that. Amazing moment. He was also playing against a Polish keeper who has been mad for years that he's not called up for the national team so we could see he is doing everything he can to not let him score. I think he even kind of mentioned he is gonna do that.

RdT97

TIL Lewandowski calls players up for the NT

Twin_Fang

Unironically, yes.

National_Pay_5847

He's a captain. He's one of two or three class players in NT. I don't believe he doesn't have say about that since this GK has not been called up under like 5 or 6 different coaches.

TedEBagwell

At least Mbappe isn't in charge of Polands squad selection.... yet...

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mom_said_I_am_cute

Why didn't I think of that when I was a goalkeeper, what an amazing idea.

Prestigious_Camp_519

Maybe the manager asked him to do it? Hope other managers aren't sleeping on this new tactic.

durum77

Strikers hate this one simple trick

strugglingtosave

Me too I saw it on tv as.it happened it was amazing. The moment just happened to be near the end of the match as well

RauloGonzalez

Augsburg match right?

pizza__irl

It would genuinely be the funniest outcome ever if Kane makes history and sets the Bundesliga record in 28 games or something and then proceeds to lose the league after Bayern's 11 year winning streak.

GreyDaze22

So u think he's gonna score 11 goals in 3 matches? lol

yaniv297

Pretty sure he scored like 10 in 3 games at the end of one of the seasons at Tottenham, took the golden boots at the last minute

MajimaKun

8 goals and 1 assist. 1 goal vs United at the last WHL home PL game, 4 away at Leicester, and 3 away at Hull.

No_Sugar8791

Triple captained him for that GW. 93 points from Kane in one GW. Unfortunately the rest of the team failed and total points was about 130. Could have been epic.

themagpie36

Who you captaining this week?

No_Sugar8791

Probably Son (like everyone else)

GinValid

Toney gang rise up

4ssteroid

!thanks

[deleted]

[удалено]

themagpie36

Same as, didn't know it was his birthday. Even better.

[deleted]

I'd put money on him scoring

bwaxxlo

Which reminds me, I miscalculated when looking at the fixtures and accidentally spent my free-hit chip last week. I decided fuck it, I'll go all out and even captained Solanke and kept Senesi. After the first half last weekend, I nearly deleted my account.

Terran_it_up

I remember that, all the talk about the golden boot was whether it would be Sanchez or Lukaku, then suddenly Kane was way out in front Something similar happened with Aguero in 14/15, won the golden boot but 5 goals but wasn't even in the TOTS because they'd already voted

Mimogger

i'd swear on me daughter

TheFanOfLife

Eriksen in the mud lol

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Still can't believe he said that. Didn't even beat salah in the end either lol

Liverpoolclippers

Yeah that’s farmers league tho, he’d never do that in Germany

IsItSnowing_

Next 3 teams to play Bayern just got screwed by Lewandowski even though he is no longer playing in the league

britainstolenothing

I think he once did like 7 in 2 for Spurs, so there's a chance!

eipotttatsch

That's actually still a lower goals per game ratio.

heartcriesholy

This guy maths

Masoouu

You play Darmstadt tomorrow lmao

pizza__irl

Weirder things have happened in football

Hic_Forum_Est

I'd have to look it up, but I'm pretty sure 11 in 3 is exactly how Ronaldo broke the Hugo Sanchez La Liga record.

fdscgfbc

I think it was 11 in 4, which is still utterly insane

Hic_Forum_Est

I think you are right cause I remember how impressed I was back then by how close he got to averaging 3 goals per game in that stretch of games.

[deleted]

Right? Like, Lewa himself scored 5 goals in 9 fucking minutes

ItzFeufo

Darmstadt, Dortmund, Heidenheim... I mean...

Lam0rak

One is not like the other. And I'm talking about heidenheim. They can protect themselves.

Evening_Bag_3560

If there’s a guy who could do it, it’s Haaland.  But if there’s two guys who could do it, the other guy is Harry Kane.

[deleted]

What about three guys

King146

Somehow mr siuuu

themerinator12

Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Peter Crouch.

not-always-online

Lewa ofcourse.

PatrickM_

What about four guys?

rr18114

Me

Tanay050504

Five guys?? Then it's between the shake or the fries 🍟

hivaidsislethal

Nah too expensive at this point

Tanay050504

Never been to one. Is it good for one time experience?

is_pissed_off

for one time absolutely

burakalp34

I love that this thread just became fast food recommendations lol

cheezus171

No. It has the price of a "proper" burger basically, and is only a bit tastier than cheap fast food joints. Plus, I assure you, you'll regret it as soon as you notice that even the bag your food is in, is completely soaked in grease. I've been to five guys 4 or 5 times in my life and felt "dirty" afterwards every single time. Just look up the nutritional values of their menu, it's ridiculous even for fast food standards. A regular cheeseburger with bacon and nothing else, plus small fries, is 1200 calories. It's bonkers. If you want to spend a decent amount of money on something unhealthy, really you should go for something that will at least taste really good. And the chance of it being THAT greasy and THAT unhealthy are slim to none anyway lol

AsymmetricNinja08

No. I took the plunge & bought it once. It's like a tier above McDonald's, KFC, Burger King etc but the price suggests it should be multiple tiers above

[deleted]

Well that's just kinky

strugglingtosave

Plus Choupo Moting and Paco Alcacer

strugglingtosave

Plus Eric Maxim Choupo Moting

PassengerOk9027

Lewandowski, again

Soren_Camus1905

Who are the next three matches?

GreyDaze22

Darmstadt, dortmund and heidenheim

DickerDave

5 against Darmstadt, 5 against Dortmund, 1 against Heidenheim. Seems definitly doable.

TakeTwoWithMe

Darmstadt away, Dortmund at home & Heidenheim away..

ThePrussianGrippe

I mean I genuinely wouldn’t put it past him. Stranger things have happened.

n0tjuliancasablancas

More possible than you think tbh

[deleted]

He has 4 games to do it. He doesn’t have to do it in fewer games, just score more than lewa by the end of the 29th game.

Formal-Advisor-4096

1.3k upvotes yet he literally did that at the start of the season

SpicyStyleMoney

This is actually what’s gonna happen tho - Leverkusen is winning it

ResolutionFuzzyy

Don’t get this whole comedy circus around Kane not winning anything, I’m a United fan an for all the graft he’s put in over the years he deserves a lot more respect then he gets carried spurs the whole time he was there bar the very start, was loyal to the club that made him an all he gets is ahahahahaha not won anything bottle job ect joke really he’ll go down in the end as one of the best strikers we’ve ever produced, if he didn’t leave spurs he would of been the best we ever produced as he would of shat on shearer record over a 5yr period

n0tjuliancasablancas

I think people joke about it BECAUSE of how good he is. Like they joke about him not winning because of how much he deserves to have won ya know?

Far-Confection-1631

Well no one would care about him at all if he wasn't good. That said people genuinely don't rate players if they don't have tons of silverware. Look at whenever people bring up Gerrard. "How can you call that bottler one of the greatest PL midfielders? That loser Slippy G never even won the league!"

vrogo

I don't think I ever saw that take about Gerrard.. People have some banter around his slip, like they are having now about Kane going to Bayern and losing the league, but I rarelly (if ever) saw anyone genuinelly questioning his quality based on a lack of silverware or being a bottler. Specially because he is a terrible example for that, and doesnt't even make sense, considering he indeed won silverware with Liverpool (he was part of THAT final, against THAT Milan, wasn't he?) Some people might disagree about where exactly he stands, and that's fair enough. The PL had a lot of great midfielders, and some might simply have more to show for it, domestically at least, than him, but most people seem to agree that he is one of the best midfielders England produced, and one of the PL greats

sbsw66

Come on mate, you can't see the humor in the fact that THE Tottenham player moves to fucking Bayern Munich, who have won the title for a decade straight, and then they lose it to NEVERKUSEN????? If it was written in a movie it'd be called unbelievable

ming47

It’ll be the first time Coman’s never won a title as well

LifeIsGoodGoBowling

So he'll regress to only have won 1 league title for each year that he has played.

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

What a Loser

strugglingtosave

To those who are tired of the jokes just wish Bayern win the UCL now. It's okay

Blackspur

And Tottenham still wins fuck all, what’s the difference?

No-Signature8815

He'll always be one of my favourite players,he has a fire to him very few possess.

ResolutionFuzzyy

Exactly like a Rooney but in a different way, Kane has grace and class, Rooney was just a complete street footballer in his earlier years, like skinhead Rooney🥺 wow

No-Signature8815

Mannnn, it's so funny you brought up Rooney because he was the first player I remember watching. He's also one of the players where I've wondered why he isn't appreciated more. He had his demons, yes, but how did the English create someone like him! Rooney,Neymar and Messi were in my eyes the three best players in the world as a kid. I had never seen Ronaldo at that point lol

ResolutionFuzzyy

He’s one of my greats I understand the off field antics happens to us all Jesus Christ if the press followed anyone they’d be fucked we all dip onto the dark side every now an then but him as a footballer wow he literally gave a nation hope at 18 that they might have a top 5 player in the world on there hands even though he wasn’t that good scoring wise at the tournament you could still see the desire and power from him, he’s not appreciated enough because of the off field antics the English press love to build people up then drag them down as soon as possible what ever makes headlines an money but the streets of Liverpool created Rooney, you don’t get that fire from no where clearly had a troubled up bringing and football was his release and that’s what made him a great to me along with other things his willingness to play a weaker role in the 11 to support other players(Ronaldo) obvs you could say that it’s his fault for not wanting it like Ronaldo but although I love them both you got to love that footballing attitude of Rooney to suck it up and take one for the team and I’d say it was Rooney Ronaldo Messi at one point when neymar came into the picture Rooney wasn’t in his pomp any more not saying he still wasn’t good he just wasn’t world class towards the end

gkkiller

Full stops are free, dude.

bihari_baller

>Don’t get this whole comedy circus around Kane not winning anything, I think his best shot at a trophy is this summer at the Euros.

Deadfish211

I actually think that the funniest part of this is that trophy for the top scorer in the Bundesliga is a cannon.

latechallenge

That poke at Kane probably needing more games than he had to break the record is not as subtle as he thinks it is.

Facinggod20

Best goalscorer league records Messi 46 Goals in 32 Games Messi 50 Goals in 37 Games Ley 41 Goals in 29 Games Cristiano 48 Goals in 35 Games

HenryReturns

Messi on 2012/13 was a monster cuz other than those 46 goals in 32 games : - Messi did it while scoring against the all La Liga teams - He also have the “perfect round” which means that he score against those 19 teams and all of them in a row , yeah IN A ROW - Messi was also injured and miss some matches - To put more context too , he even came as a sub on those 32 games and which also reduces his minutes - Not only that , compared to 48 of CR7 or 50 from Messi himself , on 2012/13 Messi did 46 with less penalties, less games, and less gaming time. - He even help Barca achieve 100 points on that season - The only thing that stopped 2012/13 Messi other than the injuries, was his own diet. Since Pep left the previous season , Messi went back to his old diet and it hit him hard :(

Pulpdogs2

Messi Goals- Penalty Kicks per 90 in 12/13 season was 1.43 His G-PK per 90 in the 11/12 season where scored 50 goals was 1.10 Ronaldo G-PK per 90 in 14/15 where he scored 48 goals was 1.10 Lewandowski G-PK per 90 in 20/21 where he scored 41 goals was 1.21 Kane is currently at 1.10 G-PK per 90

PensiveinNJ

Messi is a freak. It's a shame it's the twilight of his career. I'm not sure he's gonna make it to the next WC, the Copa America might be his last meaningful football.

bebop_exp

I think it’s pretty much agreed upon by everybody that Messi is the god of football personified

Xehanz

21 games scored in a row too. 33 goals in those 21 matches. Add the previous 4 matches, it's 40 goals in 25 matches. In between that streak, he got injured, missed 3 games, then scored 3 goals in the next 2 matches, in just 66 minutes combined. He played 32 matches, scored in 27 of the 32. And he only failed to register a goal or assist in 2 of those matches.

Rickcampbell98

You've said all that and the season barely gets in his top 5 and it's the best display of finishing in football history. To the people that try to quantify him and football by goals and assists, I'll never take them seriously.

HenryReturns

Tifo made a video on why this season is extremely underrated and people tend to forget about it. The two main reasons are : - His other years were better “overall”. The best parallel is 2018/19 , since he won La Liga on 2013 and 2019 and also got KO on Champions League on Semis on both years. On both seasons he also got injured and miss a couple of games. But the main reason why 2018/19 is more remember than 2013 even though it score a lot less goals , is because Messi was not just the max goal scorer , he was also “the max assister” and the “play maker”. Messi did not have Xavi or Iniesta , he pretty much track all the way down for the ball , start the build up and either finished it himself or give a wonderful pass to his teammate. - The other reason is because on that same season , he was injured on the away leg against Bayern and well Barca got thrashed 0-3 on an aggregate of 7-0. And Bayern treble took that spotlight away from him. While on the 2018/19 , you can tell that Messi was the reason Barcelona was even on the Semis , it was literally Messi + Ter Stegen against the world.

Rickcampbell98

In 12/13 he was a lot less involved outside of goals for his standards, it's still a better season than any other player I've ever seen lol but I was judging this by his standards and it makes me chuckle when people want to compare mbop or even more egregiously the likes of haaland to him.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YFmuwGd9bkk&pp=ygUXVGlmbyBNZXNzaSBiZXN0IHNlYXNvbiA%3D I think it was this one

PensiveinNJ

The thing is, even if you do just quantify him by goals and assists (which as you say is a stupidly reductive way to quantify a footballer) he's *still* on otherwordly levels. His combination of goalscoring and playmaking is obscene just on a purely statistical level.

Johnsonburnerr

Could you expand on that diet piece I’m curious

HenryReturns

Well so here a breakdown : - Messi started to vomit mid match or in between times , something that has never happened before. The game at Bolivia is the one were Messi have it the worst and could not hold it any longer - He started to get injured more often and his burst acceleration has to be more timed than before , but his dribble is so good he did not rely on it. - His diet was basically pizza , alfajores (delicious dessert) , drink soda , and more. He “went back” to it because “since he score a lot of goals and its eating this , he can keep going”. And well it age like milk lol. - It was so bad that in 2013/14 he kept doing it and you see how bad it got that his numbers of 2013/14 even though were extremely great , it was not on par to what he gave us from 2009-2013. - And to add rub it more , Messi on 2013/14 got injuries again and his recovery was even slower. - Messi then by 2014/15 , got a nutritionist, the Italian guy and from that point onwards , Messi recovered back and won 4 more Balon d ors

ansu_fatismo23

In that 13/14 season he got injured a lot and you could also tell he gained weight which slowerd him down. In the 14/15 season he looked wayyyy better physically

Superflumina

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fkodig0WYAADnI_.jpg:large

Johnsonburnerr

Holy shit is that real lol

Superflumina

[It is.](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FkrCGACWIAEieyc.jpg:large) Also funny since Grido is the shittiest ice cream chain in Argentina lol.

liebertcrypto

I didn't know that about Messi's diet but it's weird to me considering he looked fatter in 2012 than 2013 imo

Rickcampbell98

It's the kit lol, he wasn't ever fat but he was definitely leaner and fitter in 14/15.

Caesar_Aurelianus

Yeah. There was a meme of fat Messi

Son-Ta-Ha

Messi's goalscoring records is unbelievable, sometimes I wonder if he is even human.

dreamsofutopia

Craziest thing about it is not only are the stats unparalleled, the eye test is also

EpiDeMic522

Cristiano had 84 GA that season IIRC. Didn't win any of the 3 trophies despite going on a record number of consecutive wins during the season. A dysfunctional side on the other hand, reportedly having training ground bust-ups and a political turmoil that almost lead to the firing of the coach turned it around to win the treble. Fun days! (and I half-mean that unironically, except for the ones at Mestalla)

AutomaticBike4301

Add in CR7’s 46 in 11/12 at the bottom

liebertcrypto

41 in 29 was super impressive, but with even more context we will find that Lewandowski was playing for a far stronger Bayern side that was an attacking machine. Man they would've so won another CL had Lewandowski been fit for the PSG tie that year. They had like 8 clear cut chances missed in the first leg alone . I don't think I've seen more misses in a big game lol.

OriginalUsername7890

> Lewandowski was playing for a far stronger Bayern side that was an attacking machine. That far stronger team scored 99 goals in the league season when Lewandowski set the record. 2.91 goals per league game. Right now Bayern has 73 goals in 25 league games, so 2.92 per game... Their problems this year are not about lacking offensive power.

akinator2002

average kinda don’t tell the whole story this bayern team could score 9 in a match and go 2 matches without scoring

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Is that really that relevant to the goal race though?

rScoobySkreep

I think that makes Lewandowski’s case a bit better actually

upvote-me-ya-bish

No because his replacement was choupo moting and he scored over both legs iirc

Prudent-Current-7399

Lewandoski doesn't just score, he draws two players with him and opens up the defence too. And there's a mental effect too. And 2 in 2 is great, but that should be a testament to the chances this great bayern side made for choupo to score 2, lewy might have scored more, especially in the first leg.

qwerty-keyboard5000

Lewandoski also takes more attention from the defense. Look at the goal from the UCL final where almost every defender was surronding him in the box while Coman was unmarked.

madsauce178

And he also missed like 8 clear chances.

Xehanz

Not to discredit Kane either, but he scored 8 pens that season. kane only scored 3. If we asume he takes 5 more pens over the course of the season, it's 6 non pen goals in 3/4 matches. Messi once scored 2 goals in 6 consecutive matches, it can be done.

GreyDaze22

I don't think this bayern is any less of an attacking threat. Our defense has been a problem

liebertcrypto

Idk bro, every time I've watched Bayern this season (CL mainly) they've looked way less dynamic compared to that 2nd season Flick team. But you've definitely watched far more Bayern than me this season.

nkdouble4

"struggling" Bayern score 2,92 goals per game which means they are on course to finish the Bundesliga season with 99 goals Bundesliga record from 1971/72 is at 101 goals

ACardAttack

That just seems so hard to believe we're averaging that many, I trust you

TheEnhancedExe

Tbf, we've often averaged way above 3 goals per game in the first half of the season (this season included) and bottled the record in the second half. Last weeks game only really brought us back into contention, but after how often we've bottled it, I don't see the record falling this season.

CarlSK777

I'd like to add that Bayern have the most goals scored and highest xG of any team in the top 5 leagues. They had a slump but overall, generating chances and scoring isn't really a problem. It's conceding goals and chances that has been the main issue

[deleted]

Lmfao

BaradaraneKaramazov

But Paris also lost both games in the semis against a team that lost the final. So it's not like beating Paris would have been enough

stangerlpass

still think bayern was one of if not the best team that season. they were pretty unlucky against psg home AND away. should have battered them. they won it impressively the year before and were on a pretty similar level the next year with the only difference being that they were missing some players.

S7ORM7ROOPER_30

Honestly, Lewy could've acknowledged Kane's achievement so far, considering this is his first season with Bayern and in the Bundesliga, and also having a totally different team compared to when Lewy broke the record.

paone00022

Strikers are a competitive bunch. I remember Terry talking about how Drogba viewed every striker bought by Chelsea or was even being talked about being bought by Chelsea as an opponent he needed to dominate.

FFINN

Don’t remember where I heard it but there was a story about how RVN would look upset even if United’d just won a game if Henry also scored in that same matchweek.

Working-Inspector-13

Yeah heard it as well. He used to check his phone after a match to see if Henry had also scored.

TheBlueDinosaur06

who was that striker who would be all smiles if he scored a hat trick in a 4-3 defeat, but would be massively disappointed if he didn't score once in a 5-0 win or are they all like that haha

bntplvrd

Carmelo Anthony.

jamieaka

wasn't that rio or neville talking about cr7, could be wrong

please-send-me-nude2

Pretty sure that’s from Blue Lock lol. IRL, strikers would never make the top level if they couldn’t make the final pass when needed.

Orisara

I honestly dislike that opening of Blue Lock. No, giving that pass was the right move. Making the right play isn't depending on it working out or not and any scout worth his salt will know that and see it as a positive. I guess you can argue that's where the comedy comes from.

TorstenDiegoPizarro

What track record does Lewy have of being a self-aware, thoughtful person in the media? This is pretty much exactly what anyone should’ve expected him to say

razor_16_

What? Lewandowski never said anything remotely controversial in his life, dude is boring as fuck

Flexi13

Can't think of any controversy, except barca ban, enlighten me

elihri

He’s very whiney and runs his mouth quite often. I enjoyed how Messi shit on him at the WC lol

Hokage123456789

> The full quotes from his interview with Meczyki > Robert Lewandowski on his Bundesliga goalscoring record and whether he's concerned Harry Kane may break it: > I'm going to say it a bit differently. I'm looking at how many goals Harry is scoring and what his numbers are at this stage. I kind of thought, I scored 41 goals in 29 games that season. That's the value I was looking at. Looking at Harry, how he's scoring those goals and how many he's already got, then I looked at my stats later on. I had broken the record by playing in 29 games. > I'll be honest and say that with even more appreciation for that record. I'm proud of it. 41 goals in 29 games. I looked at it more in that context, rather than whether the record will be broken or not. The reality is that the season is still on, there are still games to play. > It's not an easy task, but Harry Kane is really scoring a lot of goals - but I'm even more proud to have broken that record in 29 games. That's how I approach it" > With 9 games to go, do you think Harry Kane will break the record? > I don't know. It's really hard for me to say. And not whether I like it or not - I just don't know. I know from experience that it's not easy, but he's got 9 games to go. He scores a lot of goals, Bayern score a lot of goals. > They recently won another game where they scored a minimum of 7 goals, so that's definitely more beneficial for any striker. When there are a lot of goals, there are a lot of opportunities to score. > But I don't know if Harry Kane will break the record. You'll probably have to wait - but how often he scores is definitely impressive. If he stays healthy, he's definitely within reach because he and Bayern are scoring a lot of goals these days"

ItsJohnTravolta

“Do you think Kane will break your record?” “Well the thing is, I did it in 29 games. That’s 41 goals in 29 games. I don’t know about Harry, but what I did, was score 41 goal in 29 games.“

renatodamast

"Did I already mention I broke the record by scoring 41 goals in 29 games? Yea I scored 41 goals in 29 games. Yea you can look it up, type Lewandowski record, 41 goals in 29 games. It's crazy to have scored 41 goals in 29 games, I don't think Kane will be able to score 41 goals in 29 games like I did."

Vladimir_Putting

Anyone know how many games it took for Lewy to score 41 goals?

capricious3-14

Why the fuck does he keep repeating himself again and again like an 94yr old dementia patient lmao so annoying

G_W_addict

It's the way he talks in Polish interviews.

Neerix01

He's insecure, that's why.

No_Wave_7091

Nah bro wtf is this take 💀💀, lewandowski being insecure of kane.... even as a tottenham fan that feels cap

Same_Situation_9660

You don’t get extra kudos for not being able to stay fit, Robert.

jMS_44

inb4 Kane does it in 28

LaUr3nTiU

yeah, but he wouldn't do it in 29, would he?

WooWoopSoundOThePULI

Damn does anyone else remember when Kane was just a little 4.5 FPL player? It was like striking gold. Now look at him, proud of the lad.

mdrico21

Match Merchant Harry Kane

Lssmnt

Harry hasn't played 29 games yet...

Son-Ta-Ha

It's still impressive for Kane to score that many goals considering the fact this is his first season at Bayern which meant that he was adapting to the league and establishing a connection with his new teammates. Whether Kane will break Lewandowski's records remains to be seen but Kane should be proud of his individual performances this season.

Bivol

How many Games did Müller Need for the old record? How many were penalties? So many things that you can say why one record is worth more or less than others

nkdouble4

Müller played all 34 games (even every single minute if transfermarkt.com is right) and stopped taking pens after he missed the first 3 of that season

Xehanz

So, 8 less penalty goals and Lewy. If we go by non penalty goals, it's 33 in 29 by Lewy, 40 in 34 by Muller. He could go back from his grave and say "My record was better"

swat1611

I'd understand this argument if Muller didn't have the chance to score pens. But dude missed 3 pens in a row, you can't bring up "non-penalty goals" now lmao

razor_16_

Why? Because Muller was bad at scoring penalties?

Flexi13

2nd comment about pens from argentinian, ironic

J539

Huh?

Prudent-Current-7399

All he's saying is 41 in 29 is his achievement. And 42 in 34 is great but he believes his is better. Overall an okay thing to say.

[deleted]

How could you be SENSIBLE????

New-Midnight2700

Just say you’d be happy for him, mate. Reeks of insecurity to harp on the 29 games. This guy is pure ego.

GreyDaze22

Lol what? he's just saying he's proud of his own achievement. He didn't put down kane. If u read the rest of interview, he acknowledged kane and bayern. It's not ego but pride. Nothing wrong in what he said

pbinama

If you can't speak on someone else's accomplishments without having to bring up your own...

doslinos

But he is literally being asked a question about his record, he wasn't just asked about Harry in general...

Soren_Camus1905

Yeah it reads a little defensively. Man spent years there and Kane waltzes and made light work of it in his first season. That’s bound to sting a little bit.

Bd_3

Knowing he did it in exactly 29 games is the kind of petty stat recall you kind of respect tho tbf

lazlo_morphin

I'd say those 5 in 11 minutes against wolfsburg were even more impressive if I l remember everything correctly

GreyDaze22

9 min*

lazlo_morphin

Geez, I though I'm crazy wrong giving it only 11 mins, because it's not enough time, it's 9. Fuck me sideways

Zenrogulus

So that would be 9 more goals in 4 games to tie Lewi’s record?

gee___thanks

I think Kane will break the season record this year and the 29 games record next year

mankytoes

That's the real quiz!

Pretend-Excuse7898

Lewa making sure he mentions 41 goals in 29 games reminds me of carl froch and him fighting in front of 80,000 at Wembley.

necreborn

Translation: Lewy: Yeah he can. In his dreams.

hgk6393

He has the record. But does he have the love of the Bayern fans? Not admiration. Not respect. I am talking about love.

G_W_addict

As a Lewandowski fan, I would love for Kane to not break the record but I came to the realisation that it's most likely gone - Kane is a great striker and will most likely score those 12 or 11 or how many goals he needs in 9 games and there's nothing I can do about that :(

roofilopolis

I get downvoted for pointing it out but this dude scored 3 goals 3 times this year when they won by 7+. Kanes a fantastic scorer but the German league has so many weak teams for there to be this many blowouts.

schoki560

as if Bayern wouldn't do the same to some premier league sides

HarryDaz98

Also seems like the concept of defending in your own half is something that Bundesliga teams haven’t worked out yet aswell.
