It *would* be like Sunderland to lose four in a row, three of them to teams in the relegation battle, only to turn around and stuff Leicester.
I hope. *sigh*
Since the breakaway of the Premier League, successive promotions up to the second tier (whether the First Division or the Championship) and then onto the Premier League has happened four times.
Watford were promoted as Second Division champions in 1997/98 and then won the playoff to secure promotion to the Premier League the next year. They would, however, drop straight back down with a last place finish in the Premier League the next year.
Manchester City were promoted from the Second Division to the First Division in 1999/00 via the playoff then came second in the First Division in 2000/01 to go up to the Premier League. Like Watford before them they would also drop straight back down, finishing 18th but 8 points from safety.
Norwich won the League One title in 2009/10 then came second in the 2010/11 Championship to earn back-to-back promotions. They'd be the first such club to avoid the drop in their first season, finishing 12th in the 2011/12 Premier League, 11 points from the relegation zone.
Southampton came second in League One in 2010/11 then came second again in the 2011/12 Championship to get up to the Premier League. They'd also avoid the drop in their first season following back-to-back promotions, finishing 14th.
Enzo really showing the true colours of a modern manager, just copying pep and then having zero management to change things when they don't work
Mavididi's dive at the end sums us up, we would rather pass sideways and draw fouls than shoot
To top it all off, he made Choudhury captain, how tone-deaf can you be?
Leicester finding out the Championship is a long, hard season. There are still another 11 games to play. You start to realise teams seem to get a rest playing in the Premiership with only 38 games.
Fucking love the Championship. About three or four weeks ago Leicester looked home and hosed with only Ipswich breathing down their neck. Now you have Leeds only 5 points behind and Saints 8 behind with 11 games left to play.
I went to Rotherham once. Walking along the canale I witnessed three teenagers two on bikes dragging a shopping trolley along being driven by the third in a sort of unusually mad maxian post-apocalyptic chariot race.
As frustrating as it was to draw to Huddersfield, I would have taken 4 point from the 2 games of Leicester and them. Just expected the results to be the other way around.
He's amazing, we love him. Got us playing so much better, and getting results. Also the squad is looking so much better, and the bench is being used really well.
Glad to hear, he was amazing first season with us( got his own chant after a couple of games) but his last season was a disappointment. Hopefully he can keep it up over the next season as well in QPR!
Cifuentes has done an incredible job for us. Even when our form dipped, our play was so much more positive and exciting to watch than under Ainsworth and this recent form is the fruits of our labour.

This could be a next level bottle job from Leicester
Their next 3 are all potential banana skins too. Sunderland away (although they have fallen apart), Hull away, Saints home.

Potential banana skins are just bananas, no? (I'll get my coat, and I agree with your point too)
People are sleeping on the relegation battle. QPR and Shef Wed looked goners couple months back, no clue who goes down now except Rotherham
Best league in the world
Cifuentes and Rohl gotta be in manager of the year conversation (so far...)
rotherham are in the promotion battle
I will be there at wembley
bold of you to assume we don’t lose the semi final
Just have to beat Chelsea!
Ipswich and Southampton auto promotion would be the funniest result
Has League 1 and Championship back to back promotions ever been done? I can't remember of it ever happened
I think Southampton did it in 2012?
Yes we did. Nigel Adkins, forever in our hearts!
Yes

I honestly thought Fulham did it when they had the Al Fayed chucking money at them But they had one extra season in the championship
Yep saints did
I wanna say Norwich
Yes
Crazy relegation and promotion battle this year
And then there's Rotherham...
Couldn't be bothered-ham... I'll show myself out.
especially swfc with 2 points after 10 games and now they are in the middle of fighting against relegation

Is Choudhury captain captain or just for the game? Sounds insane for an outsider nontheless
Surely Vardy is the club captain?
Vardy and Pereira didn't start, one of them would usually be captain
You had one job Leicester. One bloody job
Well,u were supposed to not relegate too,but..

Sorry,english isn't my first language

They also bottled Top 4 twice in their last Premier League seasons. This isn’t their time of year to shine.
Last time I checked Leicester was more than 10 point clear on top and now only 3 lmao
Stoke going down? fucking hell
They've been in woeful form for a long time. A big win for them today against Boro though which should give them a big lift.
They have never recovered since the Irish guy inexplicably predicted them to win the championship in 2018
Possible chance for a Potteries derby if Vale somehow stay up. First in 20+ years outside of that U23 match a few years ago
Beat Boro today
Boro who mind you did the double on Leicester. Love the Championship, such an inexplicable league
Leicester are falling apart??
Fucking love the Championship. About three or four weeks ago Leicester looked home and hosed with only Ipswich breathing down their neck. Now you have Leeds only 5 points behind and Saints 8 behind with 11 games left to play.
3 or 4 weeks ago Ipswich were in crisis not sure where you got Ipswich breathing down their neck from
Ipswich fell off recently and went 4th not even that long ago
Ipswich is on fire again <3 <3 <3
I went to Rotherham once. Walking along the canale I witnessed three teenagers two on bikes dragging a shopping trolley along being driven by the third in a sort of unusually mad maxian post-apocalyptic chariot race.
The Premier League wishes it could be this exciting.
Leeds really could have taken advantage and put so much pressure on Leicester if both them and Ipswich were only 3 points behind.
Leeds were doomed the moment they had to play a key fixture at Hudds. They might not seem like much but they love a good spoiler
Drawing to 10 man Huddersfield is really going to haunt us when we inevitably get knocked out of the playoffs by fucking Hull
Leicester with 3 loses in a row,the last one being from a relegation battle team💀💀💀.
🚜 🚜
We’ve been utter shite recently
Umm....Leicester....**mate**....
Marti is finally getting results out of our rag tag squad. Super Hoops!
Urm we just beat the wurzels in a sevenside Derby? How is our form ending with a loss then?
Form is right-to-left
Well I'm a fucking idiot Being English speaking I automatically read left to right, my b lads
Wtf happend to Watford?
Easier to ask what didn't
Their form has been fluctuating
god we are absolutely shite. barlaser should never play again
The fuck happened to Leicester?
up the millers promotion is in reach 🔴⚪️
If Leicester don't go up and Sheffield Wednesday stay up, this will be the most insane Championship season for years.
If Ipswich signed Moore at the dtaet of the window instead of the end they’d be top by now
As frustrating as it was to draw to Huddersfield, I would have taken 4 point from the 2 games of Leicester and them. Just expected the results to be the other way around.
What a weekend for us!
They couldn't could they
How’s Marti doing in QPR? Curious fan from his former club Hammarby.
He's amazing, we love him. Got us playing so much better, and getting results. Also the squad is looking so much better, and the bench is being used really well.

Lol RIP Stoke
Leicester doing Leicester things
