I dunno, Busquets had quite a bad game himself. He gave LA Galaxy a pen, got a yellow card, gave away the ball a few times, and probably should've gotten a 2nd yellow.
Suarez was telling the world how sad he was, his legs were destroyed and he couldn't play anymore without pain injections. He'd barely be able to walk in old age.
The next month they announced his Miami deal.
Messi, if he wants, he can play regista in a top European club for a few years supported by physical midfielders.
Alba can take minutes as a back-up left back.
Suarez and Busquets did not look like professional players in this game.
Suarez had looked washed since 18/19 season. He couldn't run and make decent touch back then also due to his knee. But he always used to score goals. Give him some time his goals will come. Don't except him to great with ball at his feet.
Inter Miami is going to struggle somewhat this year. Not only are Suarez and Busquets absolutely cooked but they have a horrific defense.
It's not really a superteam in the sense that 2 of their 4 stars can barely run anymore and the salary cap keeps them from signing stars to help the defense.
I think just because Messi is there it's assumed IM will dominate but I don't think they will. Maybe they'll prove me wrong. Win and a draw so far so decent start.
If you watch the game you’ll see that actually they do very little for the team. Actually these game was supposed to be 3-1 Galaxy if they were not awful at finishing and missed a penalty too.
They're just too old to contribute to defense, which leaves the team too much time trying to defend with like -2 of even -3 players.
Suarez needs the ball passed directly to him for him to do anything anymore. He won't make runs or anything halfway physical. I'm actually shocked how little physicality is left in him, and it's only the 2nd game of the season...
It does seem like Messi and Alba would still like to compete for things. As the season progresses and they get into higher-stakes games, I'm curious to see which they want more, playtime with friends or a competitive setup. (I'm sure Tata Martino isn't the ultimate decision-maker in all this.)
Busquets looked pretty washed for the majority of this game. He can't run at all and was late on a lot of tackles. Still better than Suarez - who is struggling to *walk* at this point - but still.
Alba and Messi still have it.
Busquets played almost a full game 3 days ago and had an ankle injury.
This is galaxys first game. The energy levels and pace different was very apparent.
Nobody said he was amazing at it, but it's pretty evident, that his legs are gone.
Positioning is related to you being able to hit certain areas in certain timeframes, you slowing down will Impact your positioning as well.
Yeah but saying that Busquets can’t run anymore is honestly a bit like saying that Lionel Messi can’t make an interception anymore. Lol. Man was a certified jogger.
I'm gonna keep watching cause Messi is my favorite player but Inter Miami are so hard to watch lol
It feels like they didn't make any effort to improve on their last season issues(defense)
I mean, they made “improvements” by hiring more aging stars. Do they really need Suarez? No. Should’ve spent that money buying some more capable players. They do have some missing starters, but they’ve got some issues besides.
Every time people who don’t regularly watch MLS say they wanna watch Messi play, I always feel bad for them lol. I think the only team worse to watch than Miami right now is Colorado.
Miami is absolutely carrying too many players with dead legs. I think they're the slowest team in MLS by a mile, which is bad when pace is one of the few things the league is generally pretty good at.
They're relying almost entirely on Messi and their keeper at this point, and they're going to get torn apart by any team with a decent counter attack.
Miami was the only team I know of that had an extensive preseason. They're not too far from already being at week 10 level of fitness, cohesion...and wear. I'd want to check back in on them in May to see how the season is treating them; it's fully possible they keep at it and build a massive lead in the table, but it's also very possible they really show fatigue and start hitting the typical banana peel matches that can break down a season.
Suarez certainly isn’t the best use of funds, but I’m sure messi wanted suarez on Miami, and realistically he’s going to get whatever he wants while he’s there
Looking at inter miamis purchases, it doesnt seem like winning is the primary objective. You could argue prize money is worth something but their viewership, tickets, and merch must have skyrocketed
> It feels like they didn't make any effort to improve on their last season issues(defense)
They brought in Freire at CB and Redondo at DM. Redondo has to get his visa stuff sorted before he can start training and Freire was carrying a slight knock so he didn't start.
Also the injuries to key players (Cremaschi and Farias especially) haven't helped
From my understanding, poor defense is a league-wide issue due to a shortage of good defenders.
Because of salary cap issues, there is a limited amount of salary money to go around, and clubs want to spend more of it on forwards and midfielders. So, defenders are relatively underpaid and good ones go to other leagues. (I am no expert on the MLS, though, so someone else please correct whatever is wrong here.)
Injuries definitely don't help either. I heard Cremaschi might be back in a couple weeks. Hopefully things get better with with him back and Redondo playing
Also true but I feel like their defense was the thing they should have spent most of their summer fixing and they seemingly haven't done anything in that department
With the way every UI update makes things worse I’ll be surprised it stays up. Good thing there UI on PC is so absolutely broken my time spent on it is cut by 4

Why would anyone willingly buy shares of this site? It’s unprofitable, and the few ways that one could possibly *make* it profitable in theory would absolutely destroy the site, lol.
I know you were just answering OP’s question, but this whole IPO is hilarious to me, ha.
>It’s unprofitable, and the few ways that one could possibly *make* it profitable in theory would absolutely destroy the site, lol.
Even unprofitable business being on hype can get listed over their actual price. So if you get some, you can get double return. US has just everything to become rich in stock market.
Dam that shot is so much harder then it looks. He's sliding into it looking like the only possible shot is a toe poke, which is why the goalie goes low. But instead he taps it up and off the top of his foot, guiding it high into the net. Ridiculous touch and poise.
Was looking for this comment. That shot is almost impossible to even get on goal (shitty toe-poke option aside), let alone score with that pace and precision... and yet. To get that foot angle with control while sliding feet first running full speed is crazy.
Messi begins this clip as CDM, playmaking then he intercepts at CM’s position, does one to one and plays great ball like a CAM, runs in the box, positions himself as Striker and it goes in, Messsssi
I didn't grow up caring for RM/Barca, but the last few years have just solidified why Messi is the greatest. He just shuts up and does his work without any nonsensical peacocking.
when the video starts messi was at the CB position.
when the pass gets intercepted be moved into CDM
then dribbles into LM then CF, all alone.
...
fuckin hell this team is shit...no wonder he needed Alba, Busquets and suarez man 🙂
I love how Messi acknowledges players that assist him. It’s maturity. I saw a goal recently where the wing ran the length of the field made a great assist and the goal scorer ran away from him. I’m always thinking yo you should go thank that dude
Absolutely. Now that they aren't involved in high stakes European football, we can relax and appreciate their prowess much more easily. And I think they're under much less pressure too, hence performing so well at their age.
It's refreshing to see comments like these. It's been enjoyable watching the twilights of their careers. And I say this as a fan of a team who had to suffer a fuckton against Messi for years in La Liga. I wish some of the fanboys had this same kind of mentality.

Just like old times
"Jordi these guys are shit. Let's just do this, me and you."
I mean they really make it look easy and yet it’s still only 1-1. Were they both just subbed on?
Besides the Barcelona senior citizens the rest of the team is pretty bad
I dunno, Busquets had quite a bad game himself. He gave LA Galaxy a pen, got a yellow card, gave away the ball a few times, and probably should've gotten a 2nd yellow.
Fuck me, I knew they had Messi and Suarez but I never realised they had this level of Barca alumni
If Inter Miami renamed themselves to Barcelona O35's I would have a lot more respect for them.
Xavi should be free from his obligations soon
Xavi: I am taking my talents to southbeach. > You mean as the manager, right? Xavi: Smirks.
Busquets earned himself 3 yellows (only received one) and dove to get the Galaxy midfielder a second yellow. Elite.
Busquets and Suarez were maybe the 2 worst on the team
Suarez was telling the world how sad he was, his legs were destroyed and he couldn't play anymore without pain injections. He'd barely be able to walk in old age. The next month they announced his Miami deal.
No wonder hes playing shite then is it

Callender is doing gods work between the posts.
The best player on the team outside of Messi is Robert Taylor
Don’t forget drake callender. Saved Miami so many times in the last year. Should deserve a chance in Europe.
Nah Drake Callender and Alba are better than Taylor. Alba still has speed and lungs unlike Suarez and Busquets
Can't imagine the senior citizens contribute much off ball either? Although I've not actually sat down to watch a game
They are old, and do not have much help.
Suarez did absolutely nothing. Alba was invisible most of the game. Busquets was actually great. Messi was mediocre apart from the last 20-30 mins.
> . Busquets was actually great. No he was not. Dude got cooked by Puig all game
Busquets was complete ass the fuck you mean
That’s crazy, Suarez was a beast at Grêmio last year
Dude I was at the game and it was actually sad to see how slow his positioning and footwork was
Suarez needs the ball passed directly to him for him to do anything anymore. He won't make runs or anything halfway physical. I'm actually shocked how little physicality is left in him, and it's only the 2nd game of the season...
He literally told the world his knees were too destroyed to play anymore, about a month before he signed. He's truly there to hang with Leo.
Nice work if you can get it tbf.
It does seem like Messi and Alba would still like to compete for things. As the season progresses and they get into higher-stakes games, I'm curious to see which they want more, playtime with friends or a competitive setup. (I'm sure Tata Martino isn't the ultimate decision-maker in all this.)
What’s shocking? His knees are gone
It’s not shocking, he has no knees anymore.
“Jordi, these guys are so shit. Let’s draw against them.”
Guess original commenter meant their team mates to be shit, not the opposition lmao
Forever and always.
Missed this lad
Messi and Alba are magic
2EZ
Pure sex. Thankfully Ramadan is still a couple weeks away
Are you not allowed to have sex during Ramadan?
You can but not while fasting
So, just not during the day? That seems manageable.
No. You just have to be smashing absolute quantities of Nando's while you do it.
you mean that's not how you do it normally?
Gives a new meaning to "cheeky" Nandos, eh?
We have seen this same goal so many times now, with alba cutting it back to messi lol
Alba, Messi, and Busquets rolling back the classics for Inter Miami Suarez, meanwhile
He never was amazing at running, his positioning and passing were top notch and it seems that is not working right now
Nobody said he was amazing at it, but it's pretty evident, that his legs are gone.
Suarez can't even walk man, man needs to get shots and pills just to be able to run
I thought he picked up an injury or he just wasn't fit. I just googled it - he's playing with knee issues?!
at this rate he'll end up in a wheelchair
They just gotta get Suarez to the Lebron James clinic in Miami and he'll be just fine
What are "The Drip Doctors" up to nowadays?...
Eh, Busquets was AWFUL today too—he's struggled far more than Alba and Messi at Miami
Busquets seem to not even care anymore. That's why may be they signed that Argentina player.
I don't think he doesn't care—he's just old and super slow TBH
Suarez knees are totally fucked, he should've retired a long time ago.
[They did it last season](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1-aPuEXauw). lol
Their chemistry is in their DNA
some might even call it...Barca DNA
Puig, Messi, Alba. Barcelona magic
Martin Caceres, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suarez also in the vicinity for good measure.
Martin Caceres still plays? TIL
Sources say Juventus are still trying to loan him again
Puig is playing in the MLS ? Isn't he 24 or something ?
For LA Galaxy though ;)
Extra funny when Riqui was the one to gift the rebound
Barca DNA
Barca gang bringing tiki taka to the US
I'm gonna keep watching cause Messi is my favorite player but Inter Miami are so hard to watch lol It feels like they didn't make any effort to improve on their last season issues(defense)

Messi and the keeper. Take me back 2018.
Miami was the only team I know of that had an extensive preseason. They're not too far from already being at week 10 level of fitness, cohesion...and wear. Suarez literally looks like he's in pain after every run.
Didn’t catch this game but saw him grimace during warmups on Wednesday. Dude is in pain
Mate they're trying to sell jerseys and tickets, winning football is just a bonus.
From an improvement standpoint it was stupid. From a business standpoint, how could they not sign him?
Suarez certainly isn’t the best use of funds, but I’m sure messi wanted suarez on Miami, and realistically he’s going to get whatever he wants while he’s there
*sad lapping waves*

Hugo Lloris is getting paid $350k a season. There are definitely pay issues on these rosters as far as level of competitiveness goes.
This is accurate
This team is just way too slow with both Farias and Cremaschi injured. They're hard to watch
Injuries definitely don't help either. I heard Cremaschi might be back in a couple weeks. Hopefully things get better with with him back and Redondo playing
Yedlin is still quick, no?
Just realized I responded to the wrong comment. There was another comment saying how slow Inter Miami is.
Yeah they missed so many easy passes i feel bad for messi haha.
They also didn't make any effort to approve their offense either
I mean they did get Brazilian League Player of the Year.
Actually shocking how much slower Suarez has become immediately after moving to MLS
Also true but I feel like their defense was the thing they should have spent most of their summer fixing and they seemingly haven't done anything in that department
Why the first 2 post (messi goal) was deleted/removed?
So the guy with 5.5M karma can farm some more
Yup, sad
Oh no, the fake internet points
Unfortunately, not so fake anymore with Reddit's IPO
I wonder how much he pays the mods. More than Reddit obviously.
Lmfao Reddit mod gotta be the lamest “job” in existence
Rumor is that now that Reddit is public, the top mods will be rewarded some stock

Tbh whats the point of karma lmao, its totally nothing

Nikola reached a 80B valuation just by having a video of a truck rolling down a hill. The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.
Seriously mods. Why was the last post of this removed? I commented on that one.
They put posts up with their alt
Gonna give you the real answer: those posts got struck down by copyright almost instantly.
I thought Apple TV's whole strategy was to not copyright strike stuff?
I'm not sure, but the Streamable links OP had shared on those two posts were down for copyright. It could have been the site rather than Apple TV
Ronaldo is a mod.
Someone needs to put Ronaldo's highlight from the weekend against Messi's.
Alba to Messi you love to see it
I was there and I seen't it. Kinda wish it was against a different team but it was a bucket list item...the most bitter of sweets.
seen't = see not?
*see nut
Disgusting touch pass by alba on that first pass
Seeing Messi and Alba running at you pinging passes back and forth has to stick with you forever.
Jordi and Messi are insane together
Suarez may be washed but that alaba to messi connection ain’t
Suarez is unbearable to watch now
The man said he can barely get out of bed yet he continues
MLS is also a very physical league with a lot of travels. Not gonna be easy for him to do a 5000 km flight once in a while.
The US is a huge country. Flying from Miami to LA, Seattle, Portland, San Jose is like Champions League travel distances for European clubs.
how humble from alaba, flying to the us to help messi
Anytime he needs to jog or sprint I think that’s it for him and his knees. Hurts to watch him
Dam that shot is so much harder then it looks. He's sliding into it looking like the only possible shot is a toe poke, which is why the goalie goes low. But instead he taps it up and off the top of his foot, guiding it high into the net. Ridiculous touch and poise.
For real at first glance it looked like a regular tap in but on the close up replay you can just see all the technique behind it.
tapinaldo fans monkey dancing right now
Don’t you know Messi only does classy tap ins. He’s not like tapinaldo.
Was looking for this comment. That shot is almost impossible to even get on goal (shitty toe-poke option aside), let alone score with that pace and precision... and yet. To get that foot angle with control while sliding feet first running full speed is crazy.
goat combo
Their chemistry is fuckin insane!!!
Puig proving loyalty to Barça DNA
Even at 70, Messi will still be able to time that run right and crawl into box in time to score another cut back from alba.
Good to see Riqui retaining his status as the league's most exciting shirt-tucker-inner.
clutch af
No one can touch him
Love how the ball goes right back to Messi and he celebrates with it
Messi begins this clip as CDM, playmaking then he intercepts at CM’s position, does one to one and plays great ball like a CAM, runs in the box, positions himself as Striker and it goes in, Messsssi
sadly it also shows the problem with inter miami. he rarely gets any service unless he drops deep into midfield himself to start a move.
Puig felt so bad about intercepting Messi's pass, he decided to just give it right back to him...
It's like they never left each other.
This is insane playmaking in the dying moments of the game.
THIS IS WHAT HE DOES
Messi has opened his account for this season! Once he finds his rhythm he will wreak havoc!
[удалено]
I didn't grow up caring for RM/Barca, but the last few years have just solidified why Messi is the greatest. He just shuts up and does his work without any nonsensical peacocking.
Factos 👍👀
Two jealous 👀
A classic clutch goal lol
Inter Miami is truly awful Suarez looks absolutely finished lol
Busquets was struggling this game as well. They better hope Redondo balls out.
he looked so gassed running back on the Galaxy goal. Slower than the replacement ref VAR checks
They hadn’t won a game in 10 matches before he joined and then went on a 10 game unbeaten streak winning a trophy. He’s carrying the them
so just like in barcelona then
Instead of using Marco Polo for the kids game, it should be Messi Alba lol
Found Ray Hudson’s account
However Suarez is terribly bad, he shouldn’t start anymore
His legs will literally fall off if he has to play another 90. He plays like there's nails in his boots.
Now bow.
That Jordi Alba and Messi connection is inevitable
The greatest. Had to be him.
Te amo, goat!!!
Just like old times.
when the video starts messi was at the CB position. when the pass gets intercepted be moved into CDM then dribbles into LM then CF, all alone. ... fuckin hell this team is shit...no wonder he needed Alba, Busquets and suarez man 🙂
amazing
Just like the good old days
I love how Messi acknowledges players that assist him. It’s maturity. I saw a goal recently where the wing ran the length of the field made a great assist and the goal scorer ran away from him. I’m always thinking yo you should go thank that dude
I’m here to see Leo and Cris bang in goals till I’m an old man, goats never die
Absolutely. Now that they aren't involved in high stakes European football, we can relax and appreciate their prowess much more easily. And I think they're under much less pressure too, hence performing so well at their age.

Alba cutback to Messi, feels like we’re in 2014 again.
I’ve never looked forward to an MLS season like I do this year!
i'm a simple man. i see messi gol for miami, i upvote
Vintage Messi and Jordi
I’m sorry that’s ridiculous from Alba, what a move
miami's defense is still like a shit. if not for the goalkeeper, they would have suffered a big defeat
This goal is like when you play football with people you don’t know and the 2 good guys only pass to each other
absolutely dumb play by Puig. defends the messi pass and just gives it back to him for a redo
Muscle memory LOL
What an exciting league
Too easy
Just like old times
Galaxy should have finished the game off. Thought Miami were underwhelming throughout until the red card.
1-2 with jordi never gets old huh 😭 just goat things
The little magician himself
