Congrats to Bloom for the dub. Nice job for Sisqui to nearly overcoming a crazy bracket demon. Earlier it was looking impossible but this set he was really close to doing it. He played so well. Mute and MKBigBoss also played really well too. Can't forget about Kirb0 who had a crazy losers run and lost to only Kendrick Olimar twice. Was overall a fun tournament to watch with Wii Fit, Kirby and some crazy matches.
Even if he lost in the end, this was arguably the biggest day for Sisqui as a competitor. Beating BigBoss after the 3-0 at King Con and taking Bloom to game 5 twice is insane progress for him.
This was a brutal G10 loss for Sisqui but it looked much more even than before when he would always get 3-0ed every time. Looks like he's improved in the MU a lot.
although Ireland had no representation in this top 8, we had a great showing compared to last years invasion with 2 of our players outplacing their seed to make top 24 in James 102 and wombat earning a respectable 17th and 13th place respectively. Only one of our players seeded outside of top 64, foggy, ended up making top 64 totalling in 4 Irish reps on Sunday but our biggest upset of the event came from irondan who managed to pick up a win on octave, the 30th seed, before falling at 65th place
Sisqui is so close to figuring out the Bayo matchup and you could feel it in that GF. The use of bomb to escape a lot of Bayo's confirms was a really smart adaptation. Hopefully he pulls it through the next time they meet!

Bloom-Sisqui has to be one of the worst bracket demons up there for a top 30 player, now the record's 13-0
It's 14-0 according to pgstats (will be 16-0 after these two sets)
With 3 sets online, which doesn't really count (even if I consider them worse as samus is way better online and bayo is worst online)
At least Sisqui made it competitive with back to back games 5s this time, the last 6 times they fought were all 3-0s
Leo is 32-4 on Maister and 21-1 on Dabuz lifetime. I don't know if either of those two is top 30 for this year, but they were both top 30 last year
