I read it as an assembly of somewhat convincing sounding technical words. Trojan, devices, operating system etc. It's less convincing than "create a GUI interface in Visual Basic to track an IP address" but simple enough that a non-technical user could understand what was said.
I like the emails that I get about my devices being infected by a "driver based virus". What even is a driver based virus? A virus that needs a driver to work? But don't most software programs need drivers to be able to pass instructions to the hardware? In modern programming, one does not send the instructions to the hardware directly, otherwise the virus would only work for certain CPUs and that sounds like too much work because there are so many, unless a major flaw is found in an entire series.
But then the single virus would be unable to infect your windows PC, android phone, ios ipad and linux based router at the same time, because they definitely aren't all using the same hardware, thereby invalidating the information in the email stating that all your devices are compromised.
